We talk about the plants in the Ericaceae or Heath Family that we saw on class. This family often has "urn-shaped" flowers.
We discuss some interesting kinds of pollination.
We also looked closely at the plants on the seepy cliffs, particularly the Saxifraga mertensiana, the Rock or Merten's Saxifrage.
We are accepting applications for our 40th annual 2024 Spring Apprenticeship Program starting in April.
Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will be able to identify, locate, harvest, process, and use unfamiliar plants outside of the class setting.
This skill will apply throughout the world beyond the Pacific Northwest.
This is a hybrid course of both Zoom lectures and in-person outdoor field experience.

I always wondered what those holes were. 🤔
