I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t find your channel such a wealth of information thank you so much! It makes everything so much more exciting knowing you’re doing it properly! (Or trying too at least!)💗
I made myself a template for cutting out the boxes that I use for shipping. My local post office always keeps the empty boxes they get their supplies in for me. So I never paid for boxes and they are quite happy to get rid of them.
Currently binge watching your videos and learning soooo much. I'm in the process of starting my own business and your information is helping so much with the actual business side of owning a small business. Thank you so much.
That's amazing, Joy! Congratulations, that is a great start! If you're interested in jumping to a sale a day, I have a course with the same name! 😊 www.creativehiveco.com/a-sale-a-day-business/
Hey love. Thanks for your videos. I started making jewelry for fu. And got approached for 2 wholesale type relationships and I have been binging your great videos. Never sold a piece and I am trying to build website, logo, packaging, pricing, inventory anything.
I’m a long time viewer but this is my first time commenting. Your videos have been so helpful. Since the pandemic started I am making custom face coverings. My feeling is that this side of the business will diminish over time. I am trying to teach myself how to sew purses and wallets. Because I am the only crafts person making these items I cannot imagine business so brisk I would need to hire help in making things. I can see myself engaging someone for the business side of things. Have you done a video if all you want is a stead stream of income but are not interested in growing beyond your ability to create?
I haven't yet! But my advice to this would be that you don't have to take on more orders than you can handle. You are totally allowed to only list products that you already have made, or if you do want to take pre-orders, only offer a quantity that you are comfortable producing. You are in control of how much product you offer at a time.
Great info, I definitely didn’t follow this plan 😂😂 I bought my LLC, insurance and membership at hscg, business cards, 2 domain names, some swag 😂 and a few other little bits 🤷🏻♂️ Can pirate ship be integrated with Shopify?
Thank you so much for another very important and helpful video! I definitely made a lot of mistakes when I started up my business - wish I could go back and get all my money back 😂
I love when I can treat myself with another of your videos. It gives me great ideas. I need to learn and practice product photography since what I like doing is landscapes, which I have been told is pretty good. What do I need to sell my fotos on demand.
Well, the video mostly discusses the business side of business and not what you are going to be spending on materials for your products, but if you want to start out making higher-end products then you just need to make sure your branding is going to match. You need to have really crisp graphics, photos, and website and your packaging may need to be a little higher-end as well. A high end product may require a higher starting budget.
@@CreativeHiveCo Yes, thank you, that makes sense to me. I have started a few handmade businesses over the years and I think my branding is on point. But where I have failed is budgeting for start up and loads of marketing mistakes. I have never had much money to invest and need to leverage wisely. My question referred more to the division of 80% spent on marketing and business start up expenses vs. 20% product materials and supplies. But I get what you are saying. I want to grow my business with one of a kind products designed and made by me and know there will be a limit to what I, myself, can produce because of that. I am hoping to still be able to make a decent living at some point. Maybe my questions belong in the how to price your products (and others) vid instead. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge Mei, such a great resource!!

My candle and bath/body shop has been open since Jan 16th. I've made over $2k so far, although I am not quite at the level of one sale a day.

Hi Ayesha! This video should help! ruclips.net/video/6-hQAGL0M_Q/видео.html
I have just startwd selling on etsy. I sold an item for £12. When i look into mypayment account it shows up as £11.32. I cant work out why this is...
They have taken out listing and payment processing fees from your earnings. Etsy pays themselves first.
Àwesome video
Thank you so much, Victoria!
Would I have to do all this If I’m a high schooler? I am broke hahaau
Hi Betty! You can always start slow!
I’m 32 and my kids have more money in their savings than me 😆
Early! Yey haha
