    In this video, I install a Brand New Rexpeed Alcantara Steering Wheel!
    Unfortunately, it doesn't go exactly as planned. But how often do things actually go as planned when you're working on cars anyways?
    The final result was all worth it! The flat bottom and alcantara give a whole new driving experience! If you've never replaced your steering wheel before, hopefully the video helps you on what to do and what not to do! Don't make the same mistake as me haha.

    This just made my anxiety go through the roof!! I want to install my quick release but I’m nervous to break my clock spring ☠️

      It’s actually very simple, I’ve change my wheel dozens of times, just leave the steering wheel nut attached when you’re removing the steering wheel to stop the wheel from pulling out the clock spring

      @@maldonadostonecan you re phrase that? I’m looking to change it aswell but scared of messing up the clock spring

      @@lunar3009 the nut that holds the steering wheel in place, loosen it but do not remove it. Pull/wiggle the steering wheel free. Disconnect all wiring, remove nut and remove steering wheel. I use painters tape to hold the clock spring in position while I assemble the steering wheel

    Hi. Thanks for the video. How has the suede held up? Still clean and not losing fibers etc?

    • @christiancervanntes
      @christiancervanntes  8 месяцев назад

      Yea still holding up really well! Only thing is, the red leather has kind of faded but the suede has held up nicely! 🙌

    And can you drive with a broken clock spring till the new part get there?

    • @christiancervanntes
      @christiancervanntes  10 месяцев назад +1

      100% just won’t have a functioning airbag. 🤣 Keep the steering wheel nut on loosely when you break the wheel loose & you won’t break your clock spring. 🤞
