    Best weather broadcast I've seen. Impressive use and presentation of his own model. Already a fan.

    Hurricanes are unpredictable! I keep thinking of hurricanes Charlie and Ian. Nothing definite about the tracks for another 24-36 hours in my opinion.

    Unfortunately the 11 pm came in up to 60 mph pressure down to 992 so its consolidating quickly. 110 mph forecast landfall, Franklin took a jog west towest southwest by the looks of the last few frames.

    Sorry, but the forecast is WAY off on the strength. The water temp, shear, upper altitude moisture are all very conducive to rapid intensification on Tues. All the actual hurricane models like the HWARF have Idalia as a Cat 3 or 4. Get ready.

      @leecowell8165 Год назад +2

      I agree with you. This is gonna be a Cat3 at least by the time it reaches the coast because of that loop current. The only thing that's gonna keep a lid on it is some shear or this thing could REALLY get nasty. Even worse that gulf has been baking in warm water for months thus upwelling isn't gonna temper this thing one bit.

    This is going to be a dangerous storm. The models are under-predicting its intensification. Those who are within the cone should take this storm seriously. It will likely become a major hurricane.

    East side of the storm have risks for tornadoes?

    • @floridaoceancurrents
      @floridaoceancurrents Год назад +1

      Yes, since it's the "dirty" side.

    • @leecowell8165
      @leecowell8165 Год назад

      Tornadoes are NOT a large concern with these things for three reasons. First off they rarely actually reach the ground. And secondly they're EFO's NOT EF5's, okay? And thirdly you're stormed up for EF3's anyway. Well, aren't you?

    Sorry guys the storm isnt doing what u guys are anticipating and what the models are saying right now there isnt any steering current pushing this thing and its just there soaking up the warm Caribbean waters and intensifying lots of upwelling which will make it a monster when it decides to move. So floridians plse watch out as this will be nasty

    It will stall and build in the supremely deep hot 🔥 water and hit Florida hard then continue to the east coast as a hurricane 🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀

    He wishes it went more to the west? Great, he wants it to hit Panama City area instead, like Michael did in 2018? I live in Panama City, and don't wish it to hit anyone.

      That's not how hurricanes work. A Cat 1 is life threatening to some people in the affected area but obviously not as many people as a stronger storm.
