- India, today, is a mere shadow of its former self. Its limbs cut off and forgotten. Forgotten are Sindhu, Chittagong, Dhaka, and Lahore. Because compromises were made, solutions were promised but never delivered, and yet, the names are still revered in the sub-continent. Tarek Fatah ji enumerates the mistakes of 1947 and the possible solutions, if any.
About the Speaker:
Tarek Fatah is an author and a weekly columnist for the Toronto Sun. He hosts a weekly Sunday afternoon talk show on Toronto’s CFRB NewsTalk 1010. His book “Chasing a Mirage: The Tragic Illusion of an Islamic State” was runners-up for the prestigious Donner Prize in 2008 while his second book “The Jew is Not My Enemy” won the Helen and Stan Vine Award in 2010.
I am an Indian born in Pakistan, a Punjabi born in Islam; an immigrant in Canada with a Muslim consciousness, grounded in a Marxist youth. Tarek Fatah cares more about India than all the Indians put together. He is truly an inspiration to us all. Jai Hind!
He has clear Concept of Ownership of Civilisation, Culture and Dharam of Bharat Varsha. We must not forget who we are where we belong and why we are the way we Indians are.
Westerners has to remind us about our culture, nation! Dharma, which our present generation do not pay any attention. Merely immersed in Bollywood, cricket, but not any patriotism , duty towards country, n its pride.chaltahai mood. Infact there should be compulsory national service after 12 th class fr every one.Then only they know about serving the country,know its strength, patriotism etc.Now only after jobs, n leaving the country fr green pastures, least bother about development or progress.This mentality should change,n cumpolsury training essential fr youth.
Tarek Fatha also an great undivided indian origin just 7 decades ago.
He is a very sincere Indian even though from Pakistan now settled abroad. His comments on Indias past are from deep within his heart. He truly feels for the loss of Greater India and its past history. His message to present Indian youth is a reality that cannot be denied. I'm very sorry to say that india is going forward to another partition this time bengal, kerala,gujrat, punjab, assam, deccan heyderabad, tamil nadu, kashmir and ladakh will be separated, india has done nothing since 1947 to counter pan-islamisim and islamic extremism to protect hindus, sikhs, Buddhists and jains, india is last peace of land where hindus, sikhs, Buddhists and jains live peacefully and claim it as their land, if india is taken over by muslims than not even a single hindu, sikh, Buddhist and jaini will be left alive .

came out, I got it from
USA it was costing me about 47 US dollar including shipping in Germany. But it was worth it.
Few my German friends
also borrowed it from me.

Gandhi was a complex personality who used Hindu Scriptures to persuade mainly Hindus towards tolerance and that costed millions of Hindu Lives. So one can presumably understand the anger of Nathuram Godse and maybe Gandhi might have seriously risked freedom of Hindus had he been alive even longer..!!

As an Indian I like his thoughts. He is talking a lot of sense. A lot of stupidity has happened thanks to useless and selfish leadership on both sides. Luckily India has at least focused on some of the important things and got some things right. But we still need to get more things correct and keep improving. Neighbouring countries which broke off from India they need to realize that a strong Indian state is the only solution. It will not be easy but there should be no doubt. They are better off voluntarily joining the Indian Union.
Indian government should create a state called Akhand Bharat state. Indians can donate to build funds for that state and then we will try and bring the stares back into the Indian fold
First India should atleast become a middle income country before any of that. Our own infrastructure is pathetic. Its improving but it will take 10-15 years for it to be good.
Tarim Fateh has done wonders for him but what we have tolerated from Pakistan during these sixty odd years
