I think BCU locks are fine, as long as there are ways to reset the lock to your new BCU after you died, with some cost (such as some parts with electrician tools) just like refreshing your bank card.. people will figure out the best way using them with conjunction of the ordinary locks and base design alone the way.
That BCU lock can be useful as fast automatic lock on first gate of base, so you get fast to safe zone behind outer wall and than second gate would have more secure lock ...
There's a chance that the new POI is in the valley in D2, Keypads 4, 5, 7 and 8. This would require removing the lumber mill from the map, if the art depicts a real location. The sun being low on the horizon tells me that it will be an East-West valley.
@@flash1259 I have one on a real rifle...they are amazing. But they are kind of new and I think most of the technology in this game is from the eighties
I wonder what the devs will do with the M249... will there be individual bullet links? Will the magazine box only be used once to give the idea of the bullet links being gone after you shoot? I hope they make something like that, cause it's different than feeding a drum mag from an RPK.
mini gun and heavy machine guns like this should ofc slow your max sprint speed and eat endurance fast while aiming if not prone. Mini gun specific should only be hip fire capable. bi-pods could become a thing tho, to reduce sway and eliminate endurance drain. For these and Sniper rifles of certain types. For Locks, I see your point, but number locks will never be cracked and lead to an outcry of unbalanced (even tho squads with raiding capability generally do not need to raid, they have tonnes of resources) The bcu is kinda safer than traditional locks coz everytime I been raided, I have been offline. Maybe there can be like 3 or so bcu locks on a base, one from each squad member. this way would be very hard to camp and get all players.... but. negative to the raiders point of view is players using alt accounts and them simply not being online to kill. A kind of fix could be that, squads can add multiple bcu locks to a base tied to players in their squad, and only that player or holding their bcu can open it.. but. likely they will just kill each other and each hold all bcu's of squad members in inventory. But at least killing one player at the gates will get you all the bcu's its never been an easy balance.
@@plaggythekingyt4443 if they ever had a gun like that they would likely make it a bit slower and I don’t think you’d be able to wear a backpack because I imagine you’d have the ammo pack on back like in movies
@@DJJordG most mini guns are mounted and belt fed, so they’d have to create a new animation for the belt and the rounds being fed in, and also what round it will take, as there are many different variants of the mini gun, and also you wouldn’t be able to un-equip it as you can’t put it on your back or fit it in a bag so you’d probably just have to drop it, as I’m guessing you couldn’t sprint or jump with it either… to me it seems silly to add the mini gun unless it could be vehicle mounted or mounted to a base as a defence mechanism, maybe they could add something similar like the MG42
@@plaggythekingyt4443 oh of course a mini gun is definitely one of the most impractical guns but I’ve always seen it as the most destructive and fun, mounting it to a car would be cool and to be fair I thought most mini guns were 5.56 or something similar but I don’t know much about them
If they did a minigun, they would need add a juggnaught suite, atm it takes like 2 shots to kill someone with AP rounds sometimes 1 shot, a minigun would be useless against a typical AR
The new POI looks like it was influenced by Pripyat after the Chernobyl disaster.
Ok. Interesting
yep, obvious inspiration .. ferris wheel, nature taking over apartment buildings with some powerplant near

best streamer ever, continue the good work luthais.
Thanks a lot bud. You know I will ;]
Looks good mate. Great video! Cant wait for more content :)
Thanks bud. Big things planned.
Love the fun finale’s! Thanks for the update.
My pleasure.

Agreed.
I want an LPVO so bad...a scope that goes from Zero to whatever magnification. Can be used in close quarters.

I was hoping to see new threats/mutants or night creatures that makes the night alot harder and also adds a new challenge....
That would be cool yes.
Great video ❤
Thank you brother ;]
Thanks for sharing!
Always ;]
I just need good controller support. That's all I want.

I've been away from SCUM for about 2 months now, do you know if there is/will be a modular pickup truck of some sort?
Yes. They are panning a brand new one
Hey Luthias, I can’t lockpick any lockers anymore…thievery is up to medium. Do you know what the problem can be?
If your talking about normal lockers then im not sure. Seems drastic
@@Luthais heb een nieuw character gestart na de update en nu werkt alles weer!😉👍🏻

Yes it isn't
It seems with a BCU lock if you're not online you can't get killed and lose it. I'm guessing you'd just put 1 on your central strong room?
Yea ALT accounts can abuse it but it will get banned on my servers
I feel like a minigun would require a strong af character to use would be fun though
Yes you need 5 STR just to hold it up ;]
Be near impossible to run it though, you’d literally need a hiking backpack full of ammo just cause how fast it chews through ammo

Hope we get a M14 as a counterpart to the SKS that is coming.
Im sure they will add a lot of guns up to the full release
Any chance we might see camouflage netting to camouflage base
Maybe who whos
Thanks luthais 😉

they could have a timelimit to use the bcu like the kill box key cards
That would help but camping will still be a problem.

Looks like Chernobyl, wonder if it'll be in the nuclear zone.
Im sure there will
Think we are going to get something tomorrow for V Day?
Definitely.
BCU stands for Bio Control Unit, the glowy thing on the back of your head.
Miniguns mounted on cars, that would be fun.
Now we talking
Tomi said male models won't be until 0.9 because of how far back it pushed them having to rework all the vehicles
Well lets see
For real, they should take inspiration from the last of us, or atleast make everything look absolutely run down, make it feel more eerie
Agreed.
Poi's is cool just want more NPC... better AI on NPC ext... cheers
