Hats off to David who offered his house. This was a very well produced series of videos, much enjoyed! Well done you two.
Thanks, Andrew
Lovely video again Richard, I’ve really enjoyed this venture you and Julia have been on, excellent all round, shame this was the last one, also great that Julia met up with her family, thank you for sharing your venture with us, your hard work of editing etc is admired by many, 👍👍👍
You are very kind.
😊😆😆 i Love it that julia gets your sense of humour and joins in with you. You two are very funny together. Brightens my day, thankyou both. 😄🌞🌞
Truth, they are a hoot!
Really enjoyed the Wiltshire series. Your talent for production is demonstrated more so in these longer episodes keep it up....and best wishes to you and Julia.
Thanks, Chris.
Hi Richard and Julia I have absolutely loved watching your videos. Now going to enjoy watching them all over again 👍Far better than any tv series. You deserve all the lovely comments on here. All the very best to you both and thank you xx
Thanks so much, Linda.
Thank you Richard and Julia for this week of walks in and around Wiltshire, you have both been kept very busy producing some excellent videos. I am now looking forward to joining you on your next adventure!
Our pleasure!
Fabulous trip. Thank you for taking us with you. It was so enjoyable. Loved it
Really enjoyed this series! Wiltshire looks beautiful and full of history, and I just love watching you and Julia together - you have such a nice rapport!
Wonderful entertainment! Thank you so much dear, lovely Julia and Richard.
Cheers, John.
We’ve been looking at some very interesting architecture in Norfolk, houses that look Dutch, very steep roofs and decorations around the roof. I need to investigate further, my interest has been piqued. Another reason to be proud of England, we have some fabulous different architecture. Thank you for this series, it has been fun and I love the new format and I’ve said before, you do an excellent voice over.
Richard as someone who lived on farm when he was younger i'm laughing my head off, besides there probably more scared of you. anyhow I've really enjoyed your series. thoroughly enjoyed it.
well that was a brilliant rounding up to a brilliant box set of adventures will look forward to your next trips exploits and the ones in between
Just what my mum says" I haven't got my make up on" love it, this series is so real ,I feel as if I'm there with you,I so enjoyed it.
A worthwhile watch. Thankyou for posting.
Great series, really interesting & thoroughly enjoyable.
You make such a great team.
Looking forward to more of your adventures!
Thank you Richard & lovely Julia.
Thanks so much!
G'day Richard and the Lovely Julia. What an amazing series and yes it was really like you had taken me with you. The voice overs work really well and help connect from one scene to a new scene.
Thanks so much.
Loved them all …thankyou both so much x
Brilliant and thoughtful series - you know we faithful want more - if you can't come to Madrid do Brum or Lancashire!
Will really miss this little series 😍😍 It’s been wonderful, as will your next videos 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Thanks Richard and the lovely Julia 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks so much, Joanna.
I'm sad to see this series end but I have to say it was a delight to watch. I enjoy the longer videos and I think the every other day upload schedule works well for a series like this. Thanks to you and Julia for bringing this to us.
Thanks Heath.
Great last episode. Such a shame that this great series has come to an end, I've thoroughly enjoyed the mix of heritage, history and nature and a good dose of comedy. You and Julia make a good pair. Great to see Julia's brother and they were right thinking it was an elm, apparently the winged appearance of the bark is a characteristic of saplings - which sadly will succomb to the beetle when they get to about 10ft 🙁
I wondered about elm, but didn't recognise the bark. Thanks Linda for the support, as ever.
Hi guys, I know I'm about nearly two years behind here but totally loved watching your Wiltshire series - all seven episodes were really interesting and an enjoyable watch! Thank v much! 🙂
This has been a great series Richard and Julia, great camera work. I like the bit at the start where it looked like you went back in time, very good and you narrated it well. Once again great scenery and woodland, great for nature.
I truly enjoyed your trips and all the shenanigans. 👍👍
Thoroughly enjoyed your trip and very entertaining. I looked forward to every episode. You both work so well together
Thanks so much!
Enjoy watching all Wilshire trips hope Julia and u enjoy days out ther very interested place
Brilliant series of videos thanks for the enjoyment
thank you so much for this trip, absolute joy to watch😁
I love walking but have had trouble with cows - I don't like the way they look at me. A horse once tried to stop me walking across a field - it just stood there in front of the style I was trying to climb over. I pleaded with it nicely and it must have liked what I said and let me pass - it was a beautiful animal. Superb set of videos and I enjoyed watching them all!
I knew this new format was going to be great👍it's very well put together Richard+Julia 💜
Yay, thank you!
Much enjoyed, thank you both
So glad!
Sorry, it's been a while since I last commented (life happened) Thoroughly enjoying this series & long format. who knows? One day you guys could become a-list vloggers! but no matter what, the silly humour absolutely must remain a staple of your style, it is glorious.
Thanks so much, and lovely to have you back.
I've enjoyed these Richard 👍👍
Fabulous series of videos. Enjoyed every one. Looking forward to your next adventure
Thanks so much.
Richard I want to thank you. I mentioned you in today's vlog that will go up later. I've been trying to settle a new baby in to my setting. Nothing stopped his crying.... but I put your video on (for my own sanity) and he is engrossed! THANK YOU!!!
Hahahaha - how funny! I will watch out for the video
What a lovely little well.
My sister and I encountered the cows on our way up to West Kennet Long Barrow, which has great views of the hill, and all was fine. They moved out of our way.
Outstanding series! You both deserve a pat on the back... ;-)
Thought this series was absolutely great 👍👍👍
Brilliant! Loved the series. Keep it coming!!
Thanks! Will do!
To answer you question, no I never get tired of seeing old buildings and houses, they give a sense of permanence and heritage, something most US homes don't have. Homes here only last until the next hurricane, or tornado, or wildfire, or flood. Ok enough reminiscing. Thank you for bringing us the glory of England. Yes, I know it has its good and bad.
Loved this series! Brilliant!
Excellent, enjoyed every minute
Awesome, thank you!
What a brilliant conclusion. Sidbury Hill looks lost in time.
Wish I had taken the drone up to see it better.
Definitely keep these videos of your outings up!
We shall do our best.
Really enjoying the videos came here via the Esse stove review.
The tree to me looks like Elm, all the hedges round here are full of them and many have branches with this strange shape. They don't succumb to the disease if they are kept at hedge height, once they get to 4 or 5 m then the little bugs that transmit Dutch elm seem to fly at this height and hit the tall ones who then succumb over the next 2-3 years, the elm then springs up from the roots again to be "marmalised" every time it gets too tall. When dry the wood burns really hot.
Glad we were right about the Elm - thanks for watching!
Oh noooooooo Richard, this has been one of your best videos up until 10.53 when you swore again using the word B----Y. We loved the humour and again one of the best videos ever. Julia your purple hair plaited is so pretty and your bag is gorgeous. We 100% agree that solar panels should be on the roof or every new building and especially installed on large areas like factories and supermarkets etc instead of in fields where they spray weed killer every where, killing all the insects.....it just doesn't make sense!!!!
I am sorry Irene, but some of these base words are part of my vocabulary.
Lovely video!
Brilliant and so so so pleased that Julia caught up with Tom.Get this chap into more walks! What a lovely guy Hilarious re the loo's - get Tom onto the Vobes s Show ... you two are, dare I say it - a couple... The cushion is wonderful, TLJ has a wonderfully creative Mum.
Thanks so much
Julia's mum is very talented!!
Actually, thinking about the pillow and the van, black/pink; black/purple; black/light blue, turquoise, teal; are combination which have long been in use for style and decorating.
Thanks Richard and julia great series. Obviously a very lovely part of the country. Bit offended by seeing the motorbikes churning up and polluting the forest. Can't be legal and not sure why they think they are entitled to spoil it for others. Anyway rant over, superb landscape heritage and nature. Thank you
A good trip up the hill with Julia’s little (!) bro! I’ve always wondered how these hill forts had water - did they have to sink wells?
I believe the water table was higher back then.
I'll never get fed up of seeing these old buildings. I spend hours walking around villages like this
My plant identifier AP says the tree is a field elm also known as common elm or horse may
Oh right - how fascinating. Thanks for that.
Appalling about the solar power thing - might be some logic to solar p. here in Madrid , but in England?.
The interesting bark tree could be Euonymus (Spindle Tree)
More, Please.
Tidworth Boy here!! 😁
Julia’s mum is a star too. 😃
I liked the Turdis at 16.18
Solar Power runs on subsidies 😀
The Bald Explorer,sponsored by Tesco?
This is part 7 me thinks?
I want to watch Richard's steadily developing acquaintance with the bovine species...purely out of scientific interest you understand.... :-)
Yes,we all read Hemmingway's Death in the Afternoon.
@@davidbarlow350 Well I didn't...but I think we can just about run to a safety pin if Richard's interested
@@cogidubnus1953
It was a book about bull fighting.
@@davidbarlow350 Yes I gathered that much...hence my slightly pointed comment...but only very slightly...
I've always wandered who chooses the sugar free Alpen over the original recipe
Me!
