I was searching a lot of knife videos in the hope of seeing if there is a setting that lets you pull out your knife instantly instead of having a little delay. I just want to use the knife to run around quickly while I'm sniping, but i hate the delay from having to hold down a button. Really hope they add a setting option later on that allows an instant switch to knife so i can "yy" but with just a sniper and knife. Or **because theres not a good way to make that setting work well** just have a wild card called like primal, that removes your secondary but ads a buff to your primary or faster swap speed or buffs the melee in some way. Maybe a combo of those?
WAIT I GOT IT, Actually just have a setting option that, instead of holding down melee, you press melee and y/triangle to pull it out instantly, that's so you can keep your secondary, and everything still works the same, but allows for quick swap to melee by pressing both those buttons instead of having to hold down melee. BUT I would really like to be able to switch that action with the regular y switch, so that I just just yy with melee but if I need my secondary I could quickly press melee+y at the same time! This would be the best option!!!
I also wanted to add they do have a setting to change the pulling out melee action, but the only option is for the melee to be in the weapon swap cycle so youd press y or triangle twice for melee, which makes it a little faster but more confusing because a "yy" turns into a "yyy" and if you are spamming that alot you could end up on the wrong weapon.
@@JeffDeath99 i was looking at this.. they need to fix the binds, melee, finish moves and body shield are under one bind which is dumb, you can’t even change the binds to turn off gun hunting and make it so ur double press on melee could pull out the knife.. idk it’s very clunky rn
@xeno9999 I noticed that and it makes me mad, at least there was a half way solution in the beta with the double tap, even though it still didn't work that well. But now we are forced to hold it down😠😫 I hate it. The delay. I just want to yy with a sniper and melee
@@UnseeableNinja Yeah treyarch is doing that with all melee weapons that’s why you can’t click down again and randomly you seem to catch up to people for no reason. At least for me lol.
The Recon combat specialty really ruins the knife experience, enemies just know if you are behind them and also the wall hacks tell them where you are when they spawn. If they dont add a counter to it it will feel pretty awful to play with the knife and stealthy.

I would suggest not using double time cause it was already stated that tactical sprint is unlimited when using the knife.
