I was the first person in my family to go to college. I remember walking down the graduation aisle to this song and looking up at the stands and seeing my mother, tears shining in her eyes and pride written clearly on her face. Now that she's losing her battle with cancer, I can't help but look back at how she was with me every step of the way and how much that moment meant to both me and her.
I pray for your mother, what good it’ll do. Losing a parent is a horrible pain. Keep your head up even when you feel like all you want to do is give up. Your mother will always love u.. ❤️

Class of 2022, and I'm not ready. I know I still have about a year, but listening to it instead of playing it will be very emotional for me. I also saw a comment here talking about how listening to this song whilst graduating college is the final step pushing you into adult life, and that is very scary, and emotional. Honestly, back in my freshman year, I never thought I would be a senior in High School, but here I am...

Well I graduated in 2021. May. It's...a different day, the way the sun shines in your room at 7 in the morning. The feeling of waking up knowing it'll be your last day and watch your 4 years go by in a flash before your very eyes. This song is the first thing that came to mind when I woke up to get ready. Got that tie and gown on. Headed downstairs with emotions like no other. Beyond normal comprehension. It was a powerful feeling knowing that high school is over. Just graduated yesterday! Class of 2023, keep your hopes high and don’t be scared of whatever life throws your way. Just know you’re strong enough to handle anything! 🎓🎓🎓🎓
Class of 2023 here, and I just wanted to congratulate the class of 2022. This class has been absolutely amazing since I met them when I was in 7th grade band, and since then you have all amazed me so much. Thank you Class of 22 and Congratulations
I'm a grandmother now and I've listened to so many of these through the years and it STILL makes me tear up instantly!! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE GRADUATES and their families!!!
Class of 2023 folks what’s upppp!!!! I came to congratulate you all, whether is your high school, college, or even middle or elementary school graduation. Perhaps it’s none of these, perhaps it’s a graduation from law school or a prestigious program, I just came to say congratulations! You all worked so hard to get to this point and you will all do amazing things in life. Wherever life takes you keep following your passion and dreams. Success will follow just keep being you. Keep being awesome! 🎉🎉🎉 Once again congratulations to the class of 2023 (and me)!
I graduated in 1963. When my brother graduated in 1961, I was in the band and we played this. I was so looking forward to hearing this at my own graduation two years later, but the a** band director decided to play something we couldn't even WALK to much less MARCH to. I was so devastated. Completely ruined my High School graduation. Thank you for making this recording available. Brings tears to my eyes.
This makes me cry everytime. I was crying at my son's high-school graduation. Then came college and then his masters. Mascara all over my face. For all class of 2020 that didn't get this, I am so sorry. You live for this day and to have it taken away
This song represents a step higher in one's education - Preparatory or Kindergarten/Grade school or Elementary/Junior High School/High School/College or something similar. Once you graduate from College, this song is especially significant as you have been given everything you need to prepare for the big time - real life itself. So for all the graduates - I wish you good luck and for the uploader - thanks.
Jaewoo Lee - yeah well, it's only until you graduate so chin up. Besides, when you become as old as I am, every time you'll hear this march, you'll cry both the memory of playing it over and over again and marching to the podium with a wide smile and an obvious swagger as you receive your diploma.
This March means so much more than music, it means growing up, moving forward, starting a meaningful life, success. I am 70 years old and I remember these feelings I had so long ago.
I’m playing this in my sister’s high school graduation on my saxophone. Its gonna feel really great to honor her efforts like that and i’m pretty excited
I play saxophone too and am gonna be playing at graduation with my band :) I’m the oldest daughter of my family though so in two years I’ll be walking up there. Hopefully I’ll have my life more figured out by then but sadly I think it’ll probably be more confusing
I play French horn and I’m excited too!! My part is basically straight quarter notes for five minutes though so even though it’s easy, it’s pretty exhausting lol
Beautiful march song at my granddaughter's grade 12 graduation. I love this rendition and have been humming it a lot since June 24, 2024. Congratulations Madison
Natalie Leiva My sister is graduating and I get to lead the procession of the senior class because I’m a class officer. We are rehearsing now, I’m a junior but i get to be there because I’m the upcoming class. They have the junior class officers, president, vice pres, treasurer and secretary attend.
My fellow mates from Class of 2024, CONGRATULATIONS! We've made it through fun and tough times, and now it's time to celebrate. We will be marked by a new stage in our lives, and we will pursue greatness. To whoever is reading this comment, good luck, and best of wishes! 🎓🎉🎊
I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who won't have a graduation ceremony due to COVID-19. Of my 4 years in college, graduating and hearing this music was my favorite moment. Nothing compares til this day. I had gone through a lot, and this felt like my coronation.
Graduating in 4 days from college! It's been a long journey but the BIG day has finally come! On May 7th I'll be closing one chapter and beginning a new one!
Way to go. You are the man you did it. My Grandson Graduated from High School last night and it was such a sad happy feeling. The music is what made me cry. Next is College for him.
My 5th semester is finally done at Virginia Tech. It is 0:11 in the morning and I am going to Graduate next semester. I premiered the class ring for the Class of 2025 with my team this semester. How sentimental. I will graduate 1 year early. My college experience has been filled with so many memories, challenges, experiences, lifelong relationships, and I’ve learned so much as a guy. I also found out today, at 5:26pm I got into graduate school at Virginia Tech for the MSBA-BA program. Wow. I am so exited. I am hearing within the next few days if I get an internship at Stryker for sales in Jacksonville, Florida. I am not only blessed, honored, but also humbled to be in the position I am today. My word for this semester has been reflection. Reflection thought counseling and guidance. I have no doubts that if you want something, YOU can do it. Work hard, focus on it, obsess about it, and put your mind to it. I look forward to crying after graduation with my family. It will be happy tears. Don’t ever stop doing what you are doing and find happiness in what you do and who you are with. See you next semester in May!😁
I played this song for three fucking years and always wondered what it feels like it to be on stage hearing this song. Next week is gonna hit me like a truck. 2021 graduates we made it. COVID may have taken alot of things from us but it didn't take our victory of finally finishing high school. Let's get ready to take on the world guys
@Brian Babin it’s always been the journey- this comment is proof that God is the only one who can satisfy you lol. May Jesus reach your heart ❤️ and do not put your joy in worldly endeavors. My 2021 graduation was awesome! Can’t wait for what God has in store for me.
@Brian Babin Spoken like a med student. Just cause you are unhappy with where you are in life doesn’t mean that’s the case for everyone else. With the utmost respect, please shut the fuck up and let us have our moment. We don’t need you raining on our parade before we even get to have it. Thanks! :)
Aaaaah, l'm sorry to hear that. Why don't you plan a little ceremony for her maybe with a few family members and friends, a small gathering just stay in the guidelines in regards to safety.🙏🏾
class of '22 here; i just had my graduation ceremony yesterday, and man, it felt awesome hearing this song playing the moment i walked into the arena and towards my seat. honestly, i'm still in disbelief that i've officially graduated high school. i'm also in disbelief that it went by kinda quickly for me; i can literally still remember the first couple of months of freshman year. but at the same time, i'm proud of myself for making it this far, and now i can start a new chapter in my life! so to the entire class of '22: congrats you guys! we did it! :D edit: bruh i just realized my graduation ceremony happened literally on the 10th anniversary of this video. didn't even realized until i looked at the date LMAO
I graduated from my HR program today! So here I am! This also makes me think about getting my masters! I was overwhelmed with tears and emotions! First one in my family to graduate from college so it truly meant a lot. During this time I lost my mom, my job, and had my first child. So to finish with all that going on I am very proud of my self! "The tassel was truly worth the HASSLE"! I cant believe God has brought me this far, and I cant wait to so see where he takes me next!
@@ladyfoxx6309 Congratulations!!!! All you lost while trying to better yourself, and to hear that you didn't lose yourself in the process, means that you are truly a strong, amazing person indeed!! May God bless you in your personal and professional life. Take care.❤️
Honestly don't worry. I never got any award and I've been flying through college. Half the stuff your teacher's tell you, "They won't accept late work" or whatever, they're usually wrong. Unless you get the super strict and stuck up teachers most usually accept late work. You may get a late penalty but it won't be the end of the world.
Look here, whether a "C" student or an "A" student, which I am......all of my professors have told and taught me that you can have honors across the board, but it's what you do with it that will determine your success. Have you ever heard of the phrase "Educated Fool", well, that phrase references those who have all the book sense and knowledge in the world but doesn't know how to utilize it well or in the right way. They are no comparison to those C students who made it by the skin of their teeth that are actually putting there knowledge to good use instead of letting it die or fry. "C" students rock and are just as important as any "A" student I know and that's coming from this "A" student here. You don't have to have all of the extra accolades if you know you did your best and guess what, your graduation will be proof of just that💪🏾👩🏾🎓🤗. Congrats!!!!
Class of 2021 though some of us get to walk across a stage let's not forgot those who are unable to due to coronavirus. Though a year of your schooling was almost entirely online full of zoom calls, online assignments, bad wifi connection and unmuted mics. You have worked hard to get where you are today. Our fight was long and hard but you have reached your reward. Don't let this year change your dreams because we have proved that we can overcome many obstacles. Chase your dream and take it, just as you take your place in the graduating class of 2021
Nah! Its for those of us who had to work our butts off through , family death, extreme, illness and so much more. I am thrilled to be honored like this!!!!
This song is brilliantly bittersweet. It conveys that feeling when you're the one playing it, you don't see the conductor or the rest of your section, you see yourself at graduation years into the future.
to those who are going to graduate this following 2020-2021 school year, myself being one as im about to enter as a freshmen, i know it was a harsh year for all of you. i as well suffered through this mess and as we speak, i am finishing up my HS application form. Good Luck new 6th graders, freshmen, and beyond.
I graduated middle school the year i wrote this(2021) we had a ceremony both online and in-person in the school patio, it was awesome. Its now almost two years later, and i am now going to be a sophomore in a high school in brooklyn, NYC, I'm looking forward to my graduation in 2025
It is an emotional piece. When my daughter got her high school diploma, Batchelor of science degree, and her Masters degree in Communications, this song brought me to tears!
Goosebump.. i remember this music.. while im marching towards to stage ang calling my name receiving my certificate.. all sacrifices are paid.. and thanks GOD i made it and proud to myself.. i saw my parents watching me a far and gosh both of them are crying because of overwhelmed feelings maybe they also proud to themself.. im the first who graduated and finished my degree..
I wan in school for 6 years as a classroom teacher. And you see, I graduated six batches of students in my life as a teacher. Every time i hear this graduation song or march. I remember all these students who came across to my life as a teacher to them? I hope many of them made their life well. A fruitfull life! After six years, I entered the seminary and became a PRIEST! GOD BLESS YOU ALL DEAR STUDENTS! I REMEMBER YOU ALL FOR AS LONG AS I HEAR THIS MARCHING SONG!
My wife is graduating college today! so awesome. I played this while she was getting ready to go. very exciting after years of hard work she has her associates in computer science.
Let them be proud, many people can't even get through high school these days. Wtf do you care anyway? Many people start off with an associates program and move to a bachelor's program because the cost of attending a 4 year university is expensive as hell.
Ignorance is bliss. At least she fucking made it I see that as an accomplishment. It's not about how long it takes cause everyone works at a different pace but that doesn't make them stupid. There are people who don't even make it through college and drop out like flies. Not everyone can easily get college degrees some people get em early and some take longer it all depends on the person and the major really especially if they change it or not. At least she kept at it and didn't stop. As long as you make it is all that matters. I am graduating with a associates in psychology next May and on my way to accomplish a lot more and it did not take me 2 years mostly cause i changed my major and had some difficult classes when i started. I had times i felt i couldn't do it but i am proud that i didn't give up and this is a huge accomplishment for me. I fought my battles even the deathly ones and I will get to march earning that degree. By the way how do you know she didn't just change her major? btw Mikej1592 congrats to your wife I know that road is rough but it is possible to conquer.
End of semester 7!! Or, should I say, end of semester 1!! End of semester 1 of graduate school that is. I get to leave now, a week early because all of my finals are done!!! I switched my program to the MRN program at VT. I also am a graduate assistant for the finance department at VT. What a great year. I am building KOG which is a virtual assistant consulting business! I am apart of the alpine ski team and in intermural soccer we won tonight 3-2… an undefeated season! Looking forward to what next amateur brings and I will be doing solar reach. Also have been investing in crypto and I bought a corvette this summer when I was in Jackson, FL for an internship! If you are reading this… go do stuff in this world. Very few things come your way. It is about what YOU DO and HOW YOU DO IT! Get it done! Start something! And work hard at what you are doing!!!
who here got their graduation cancelled by COVID-19 and is now listening to this knowing that they won't get to hear it live in person on graduation day :(
From someone who Graduated H.S.in a year called 1991 listening to the “Graduation March”I can remember more of my Graduation in my mind from 32 years ago & u can probably also! Damn I miss the 80’s & 90’s.I just wish I appreciated them more!
I remember this at my HS graduation- I just started crying- it hits you hard when you realize you finally did it... It was a mix of tears of joy and celebration and a mix of sadness and heartbreak cause you're going hundreds of separate ways- never to see each other again mostlikely after that day. So for those of you still in middle and high school; enjoy it while it lasts.
Putting all the thoughts of graduation aside, this song still gets me teary eyed because of how powerful is. This honestly a very beautiful song, whether you’re hearing it at a graduation or not.
My advice as now both a hs and college graduate…enjoy every last day of your senior year, do as much as you can, take as many photos as you can, participate as much as you can, because before you know it you will be on that stage and it’ll all be over.
Dude, same. Being in the class of 23, it felt like yesterday when we were just Freshmen and now we're about to be full fledged adults. It's so bittersweet but I'm looking forward to it.
I'm about to graduate from college in five days. It will be the most anticipating moment of my life, bringing my 20-year academic saga to a close. Anyway, congrats to the class of 2023, including me! 🎉🎉
Nice My guy congratulations hopefully you'll be moving on to bigger and better things. On the up and up as they say you've made it so far and I'm sure you'll only go further.
Please give me advice on studying. I know this this is a weird request but it feels like no matter how hard I try, my average will never exceed to what I desire. I want to improve academically. I'm in tenth grade, and I wish to increase my academic standing to as high as It can go. How did you unlock your full potential?
I’m listening to this trying to train myself not to cry because I graduate may 2021, this song has always made me cry. Honestly, I’m not crying right now..but I know the moment they start playing this and reality hits, “this really is the last time I will see some of you, this is the end of a chapter in my life..etc” I just know the tears are going to be streaming down my face. Unlike most seniors, I’m not ready to graduate. I just want to be a kid still😭😭
My exact sentiments. I feel like high school graduation is so sad; everyone’s happy and hopeful for the future but it’s truly the last time I will ever see my classmates of 4+ years. I already miss childhood 🥲
Hopefully all the high school and college graduates will be able to have there ceremony at a later date. They have worked to long and hard for this moment. God Bless Class of 2020

Perhaps it’s none of these, perhaps it’s a graduation from law school or a prestigious program, I just came to say congratulations! You all worked so hard to get to this point and you will all do amazing things in life. Wherever life takes you keep following your passion and dreams. Success will follow just keep being you. Thank you I just graduated high school
There no way this was Made 12 year ago so you graduate in 1963

Welp...
I actually did that during my graduation in Macho Man's voice. But not that loud.
For our senior prank. We threw Slim Jims in the air & yelled "Oh Yeah" a the graduation rehearsal.
I AM THE CREAM OF THE CROP!
It was originally a funeral march.
I guess either way the song tells us that something is waiting for us on the other side.
***** Not the most cheerful way to do it, but i guess. :P
Unless you're the ones who have to play it over and over and over....
Jaewoo Lee - yeah well, it's only until you graduate so chin up.
Besides, when you become as old as I am, every time you'll hear this march, you'll cry both the memory of playing it over and over again and marching to the podium with a wide smile and an obvious swagger as you receive your diploma.
Good luck to all you 2023 graduates. I'll be playing this for my school's seniors. You did well
This March means so much more than music, it means growing up, moving forward, starting a meaningful life, success.
This is a complete lie, no one cares for their siblings *that* much
I play French horn and I’m excited too!! My part is basically straight quarter notes for five minutes though so even though it’s easy, it’s pretty exhausting lol
nice
@@jpuff310 yeah I thought it'd be a cakewalk until we got to the 5th repeat and my conductor told us to keep going💀

When you're a C-student and you hear this song, you know you're not getting any of those awards because you procrastinated all year :(
Honestly very relatable, graduating this week
Im an a and b student and I barley did anything this year :/

My wife is graduating college today! so awesome. I played this while she was getting ready to go. very exciting after years of hard work she has her associates in computer science.
Your wife must be stupid if it took her that long to get an associates lol
+Mikej1592 truth hurts huh? Pretty pathetic to spend many years of hard work to get an associates. Tell your wife to get a real degree.
it takes 2 years to get an associates degree, I said years (the plural of year).
Also have been investing in crypto and I bought a corvette this summer when I was in Jackson, FL for an internship! If you are reading this… go do stuff in this world. Very few things come your way.
But also... did you cry 👀

I know that feeling too myself...
Hopefully all the high school and college graduates will be able to have there ceremony at a later date. They have worked to long and hard for this moment. God Bless Class of 2020
