Remember listening to this album after Mellon Collie and didn't know how to first react to it because of the big departure in sound. 25 years or so later, I think this has become my favourite pumpkins album.
I KNOW you have heard this MANY times before BUT when this album first came out, I TRULY BELIEVED it said ALL needed saying to my boyfriend at the time. I sent it to him, at the radio station he was DJing for at the time. After 5 years of wasting my time...I have YET to speak with him again.

I really like how a few times the accompanying singer loses herself in the song, and I’m thinking it is in the meaning. It’s really quite a song. I also am happy to see that he is embracing his past, because he should be proud of what he has put out for us to enjoy.

My girlfriend's parents forced her to cut contact with me due to homophobia. We talked for a while after they made us break up but recently she told me we have to stop talking for good. This song makes me think of her and us, hopefully one day in the future we can see each other again.

I think I know what Jeff Schroeder is playing in standard tuning, maybe. A D chord and lift your finger on the E string and then 8-7-5-3-3-3 followed by A and then Em. I don't know the rest of it but I've tried playing this part and it sounds pretty nice.
