Ok! To everyone asking why would someone pay $4000 for a tremor package just to rio everything out. Well first off the tremor package has off road capabilities that a standard fx4 doesn’t that is not even associated with the suspension. It has on the fly off road driving options that apply the proper torque & braking to each wheel that senses what each tire needs. It has modes like rock crawl, snow plow and can traverse 36” of standing water. If you own a factory super duty and have ever seen your coffee mug fly off & out of the cup holder while taking a right hand turn through an intersection with a deep storm sewer canal, you can appreciate a suspension that just eats up that maneuver. I’m in my truck 20,000 + miles per year and lemme tell ya….I’ll never settle for my kidneys getting jarred on crappy SoCal streets and highways again. My Tremor with Carli suspension and setup rides like a Cadillac in the streets & freeway, is very predictable, let’s me hit 70 mph on dirt access roads that before I was afraid to take at 40 for fear of the truck shaking apart all the while still let’s me tow my 15,000# hay loads, my 13,000# backhoe dump trailer combo and my 11,000 travel trailer with ease. So that’s why people opt to upgrade a tremor. Ive been out to most popular off road places in California and have gone head to head with standard fx4 Fords, chevys & rams and the tremor pretty much out performs them on dicey trails. Oh, and like SDHQ Motorsport said, it’s my money and I’ll spend it how I like.

Uh, I'm not taking turns at 20 mph in a 7300 pound truck... so no, I have never nor will I ever experience that. I'm not knocking you or anyone buying this suspension, I'm just saying you're presenting a use case with that particular example that doesn't actually exist. I live in PA/the northeast and both my state and region has the worst potholes in the country. Will a little splash of coffee occasionally shoot out of a mouthpiece if its not closed, sure... but a cup popping out of the cupholder is 100% a driver behavior issue.
@@sly9263 cool! But i never said I take turns at 20mph. Literally taking a right hand turn form a dead stop at 5 mph through a gutter intersection was enough to bounce my truck form side to side here in SoCal “where WE truly have the worst roads in the country” I’m not talking about potholes I’m talking about deep gutter designed intersections. I mean interstate 10 in the inland empire is horrible (imagine a message therapist karate chopping your back while trying to hav a conversation with someone) that’s what it’s like on our stretch of highway with horrible expansion joints on the freeway every 10’. So with all that said, I’m simply stating upgrading my suspension setup form factory was a night and day difference and was worth ever penny over a factory new super duty tremor suspension package
@@timm9114 right hand turn from a dead stop at 5mph and threw you coffee? then you put your wheel in a 6 inch to 1 foot pothole or you're greatly exaggerating.
I actually put a Tremor has to head on the build sheet and the Tremor came out on top. Aside from the benefits you mentioned the FX4 diesel comes with 3.31 gears while the Tremor is 3.55. Tremor comes with 35s while FX4 has 33. Tremor has a locker rear and "limited slip" up front, not FX4. There really are a lot of benefits besides springs and shocks. I plan on using my Tremor for a bit before modifying it while I put together mod money so these benefitted me.
Just curious what this cost you? We are picking ours up tomorrow and I might go ahead and get this package as well.
Great video! I like the package, but hear from mixed feedback on the Icon package. I'm shopping between the Carli Dominator, BDS Coilover, or possibly Icon... but the reviews make me hesitate when you are spending so much.

How did it effect the payload and towing capacity? Looking at a similar build for my overland/bed camper/hauler
if you're still wondering, lose 15% capacity with the full real leaf pack. carli has an add a pack that isn't as good of a ride, but doesn't lose capacity.
How much was this package with rims n tires? I have a 2022 tremor and it rides rough.
What’s the point of paying for the $3975 tremor package just to tear it all out ??? ….why not just order a standard lariat and do your upgrades ??
The customer wants what the customer wants... This package included some "look good" components he just had to have.
I posted the same question on the tremor forum. In this particular case, tremor package was a waste, FX4 would have been sufficient with all these suspension upgrades. The carli+icon combination is indeed interesting, not many riding around.
I wonder how much comfort the same front link suspension upgrade, a set of Kings all around, and a Carli torsion sway bar would bring to a 2022 Limited F-250 🤔

@@SDHQMotorsports Well right...except you guys are the ones claiming the Tremor pack is "sub par". Seems like a valid question to ask. If you can't explain why someone would do this and only want to come back with a smart-ass response, that says a lot.
The Super Duty Tremor Package cost is $3975.00 Ford offers several $570.00 discounts on other Packages in combination with the Tremor Package. If a F250 or F350 is equipped with the Tremor Package, a $570.00 discount will apply to each of the following Packages: 1. Chrome Package; 2. Lariat Ultimate Package; 3. Lariat Black Appearance Package; 4. Lariat Sport Appearance Package; 5. King Ranch Ultimate Package. In addition, it is possible to sell items on eBay: 1. the OEM factory rims and tires for $1500.00 to $2,000.00; OEM shocks and suspension components for $750.00 to $1250.00 or more, depending upon the included items (front sway bar; rear leaf springs; etc.). The Super Duty Tremor Package also gets a unique off-road Rock Crawl driving mode.....quite possible to get it for free after selling all the OEM Tremor Package items.
@@15Jeep FYI I don’t know if you’ve ever sold OEM equipment but people aren’t willing to pay much for it. No one is paying $2k for oem wheels/tires, or oem suspension. The value is all in getting it from the factory. At the point that people are spending that kind of money to upgrade, they are going aftermarket. So that’s not a valid argument.

Furthermore, several part number OEM truck rims and tires actually sell for premium dollars on eBay, and particularly the OEM Ford Super Duty Tremor rims and tires. Similar situation with Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock and Recon rims and tires.
I doubt whether the Tremor shocks and suspension parts would sell for a premium, but no doubt could be sold for around $1000 give or take $250. There will be a few guys who were on the fence between buying a F150 or an F250 and wanted a F250 Tremor, could not find one and they want the Tremor suspension parts, taller front coil springs, shocks and softer rear leaf spring packs for their truck. Granted, not common, but those buyers are out there.
IMO, more guys like aftermarket rims. But, there are several guys that still prefer OEM rims...they like mounting bigger tires on OEM rims. You would know this if you read lots of threads on some websites like Ford-Trucks, Ford Tremor, etc.

If you have money to burn why not but for regular people who want a better ride info this is lame!
I don't understand why the links are adjustable on one end. All these big names and still the same lame setup.
After personally owning these setups they are a nightmare to align correctly.
Even more so, trying to find a shop to put the effort in to get the setup correct.
Just a warning to others, if you didn't know, you're not just bolting this stuff on. These types of kits require specific specs for proper setup.

What impact does this set up have on towing capability?
No negative impact at all, but you add the ability to either soften or harden the dampening depending on the payload. This truck is his workhorse and was built with that in mind. It will also have a trailer behind it 60% of the time.
I have mine ordered and love this set up but I just don’t want to lose any payload or towing capability so that’s good to know.
Carli offers Progressive-Add-A-Packs for the rear leaf springs. These help to reduce / eliminate rear squat. In addition, Air Lift air bags are quite popular to reduce / eliminate rear squat, combined with DayStar Craddles for air bags which allow rear suspension travel off-road.

Wouldn’t it be cost effective not paying for the tremor package and then upgrading afterwards?
Seems like the carli kit is cheaper and has the ability for a considerable amount more articulation. Not sure why u would ever put coilovers on a solid front axle. Good looking truck but not the suspension I would have chosen.
Turn the soundtrack down a little. It’s hard to hear what you have to say while playing at a lower volume.

Would you consider this to perform better than the Carli dominator? You have an interesting perspective as a shop that sells both Carli AND Icon. Curious what lead to you ICON for this particular build over Carli. Thanks!
There is no Dominator for Ford. Just Pintop, and it’s the best system you can put on a Ford currently.
The Carli 3.0 Dominator is for older Ford Super Duty trucks. The Carli 3.0 Dominator is not available on Ford 2017+ Super Duties.
What offset on the wheels?
Go to the ICON website or call them and ask them for the offset numbers for these rims.

Coil overs is the worst you can do to that truck…no travel at all…one Carli/king shock would ride better than two of those shocks. The 4 link also does close to nothing other than really cheap to manufacture.
Why pay $4K for tremor package and then completely strip it and go with aftermarket wheels and suspension?!!!
