As some of you might know, the Wii version of TP is the exact same as the GameCube version except that it's fully mirrored. The reason for this being that Link was left-handed in the GameCube version and it'd make more sense for him to be right-handed when played with motion controls as most of the population is right-handed. We currently have both the GameCube and the Wii version uploaded and will eventually post the Wii U HD version too. For the recording I decided to focus solely on the main game as we generally do with games like this. Whilst there's a lot of extra content to cover in this game, most of it would've been very distracting from the main video.
Kind of cool to see someone play the original Wii or Gamecube version. I think most just play the HD remaster on Wii U nowadays. The Wii version was the copy I got back on launch day all those years ago. Thanks for this.
1:20 man , my first Zelda game was botw I’m trying to collect retro gaming systems so I can play older Zelda’s. It’s so cool to hear this music when I first heard it from the Fairy Fountains haha !
Would love to have this and Wind Waker on the Switch as I’ve never played either. Hope it gets announced in the next week or so. Because I’ve been dying to play them.
It's a bit magical and mystical to me. As an N64 and Ocarina of Time kid, i remember us fawning over the new Zelda looking "photorealistic" and we never got our hands on it. But i think i'm going to hunt myself an old Wii and finally play this and Skyward Sword.
I know that they are the same game essentially but I'd only want to play the Gamecube version since it was created and designed with intent and the Wii version inverts everything after the fact. Solid, upper-tier Zelda game amongst all the ones that I played through.
I wanted to test if I could complete the game under 13 hours to help me decide whether or not to completely re-do the GameCube version.. but since it's going to be a 2-parter regardless, I'll just simply re-render the GC version with nothing more than a resolution fix.

Still my favourite of the franchise.

You make taking the zoron child to the village easy. I have been trying for months and can't get passed it.

I never owned the GameCube version sadly. It was too expensive. Brought the Wii version and enjoyed it, despite the inverted world.

6:10:40 OH, COME ON!!! YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LONG IT TOOK TO COLLECT THOSE!!!???
5:28:13 Taking the short cut, eh? Smart move.

2:44:17 Uh... Oops!
Ah, so THIS is what you meant. But, uh... you know this version is mirrored, right?

@@longplayarchive Right...🤔 Just so you know, the quality of your current GameCube longplay also suffers from motion blur.
Also, where's your pinned comment for this?
Thanks I’ll have a look at that. I can’t imagine there be anything wrong with the recording as it was done on hardware with all the right settings
@@longplayarchive Okay, thanks. In terms of 100%ing, did you play this version the same way you did on GameCube?
