Just my opinion and many will disagree (that’s ok) but I love the blackened look of this bike and the lack of chrome. Gorgeous bike. Disappointed though that they reduced the size of the storage with the 2018 and have never addressed that. I travel with my wife and we barely have enough room for stuff in my 2015 Goldwing.
What can I say about this motor? Its not my level,its only in my imagination...its master piece. How wonderfull it. But,I hope someday I will can to ride it,maybe have it,only God know....
Passenger and pilot seats are still so bad compared to the previous model... Trunk and saddle cases are way too small as well... I'll keep my 2017 until Honda improves those 2 main issues.
Absolutely! We tried out a new Goldwing check in hand and was so disappointed we decided to buy the BMW Grand America -it was WAY more comfortable with much more storage. Then, we came to our senses and bought a low mileage 2015 40th Anniversary Goldwing and LOVE it! No regrets at all!
It's near impossible to get two full size helmets in the top box of the new Wing. But, don't despair: I've found that by shaving my head, and applying a generous coating of lubricant to my now bald head, I can manage to get a smaller helmet to kind of fit. Although still really snug, and limiting blood circulation to my brain, I at least can get 2 helmets now in the top box. Problem solved.
The more I look at it, the more I wish I had the way to buy and afford such a machine. I ride near daily..near 600 miles a week on average. This would cause me to ride a 1000 miles a week on average. Still trying to buy a used older one. 1500 cc just ain’t enough for me... Eye want 1836..lol

I just wonder if the handling and maneuvering of this type of touring bikes are for anyone, or need some sort of special training. I dont think that is that simple, walk up to the dealer, and leave riding ono of those. Can anyone tel me?
johny canales It is not advisable for any new rider to attempt to handle a bike weighing well over 800 lbs.,nor having the riding skills to operate it safely.You “work your way up” to a bike this size by sharpening your skills on smaller bikes and graduating to bigger bikes incrementally.
It used to be a big tourist, and now sports. I no longer dream of Goldwing On the dashboard in the middle there is a huge screen with insignificant information, the glove box has become uncomfortable, the leg heating is now not regulated as before, the electronic engine start does not always work, LED headlights shine worse, the automatic gearbox jerks in some modes, in the back seat it became uncomfortable to hold on to the handles, luggage boxes become small. And most importantly, the appearance has ceased to be solid as before.
Looks pretty, but you can't tour with it. You couldn't get more than an over night with yourself because there is no storage and you cant fit two helmets in the trunk. Such a waste of a great bike. It has so much potential. I was waiting for them to open up the trunk and show two helmets. Show it to us when we can tour with it.
I love this new technology but I do not like his new disagne, it was rather that he keeps the disagn of gl1500 by adding this new technology. this goldwing has lost its royal look, because now the front part is like a scooter ...
The open side case blinker... This kind of fit and finish problem is unacceptable, especially on this price range. Yet they don't do shit about fixing it. I used to salivate over the Goldwing but Honda cured me.
Petty that load capacity of the cases are poor! Very poor for a tourism motorcycle. I have a ST1100 and try to fit HALF of things that I had in my cases in a new Goldwing and... For incredible that may sound. Doesn't fit! Especially the helmets! For long travel the solution is awful... A small trailer.
It looks the same as the 2019's. Why didn't Honda fix some of the flaws? Small gas tank, needs ay least 6 gallon cap. The small stupidly designed side open saddlebags, it needs bigger top opening ones.
Like my 2006 a lot better. Less storage. Crappy tires on new ones lost passenger arm rest. And most still run with a separate GPS. Harley and Indian is now better than Honda.
I think if the whole bike is matte black gonna look sick!

I don’t consider the Goldwing a true touring motorcycle as it only has foot pegs. If it was a true touring bike, it would have floor boards.
