  • In this video, we'll be exploring ovarian follicular dynamics in cattle. This is important information for anyone wanting to understand the function of the ovaries and how they impact cattle production.
    We'll cover the anatomy of the ovary, the different stages of the ovarian cycle, and the role ovarian follicular dynamics play in cattle production. This is a deep video, but hopefully, it will be valuable information for those interested in cattle production and the function of the ovaries.

    It is excellent lecture. If etiology is added why some animals have 1, 2,3 follicular waves cycle and its effect on length of oestrus cycle. It would have been better

      Up to puberty primordial follicle will be converted upto tertiary and then will undergo atresia, but at puberty when GnRH changes into pulsatile fashion then preantral follicles will recruited for the further processes. Is this right sir?

    • @GNPSir
      @GNPSir  2 года назад

      @@sunadbalgi1669 What is known till now Not all primordial follicles are converted to tertiary follicles and then undergo atresia. The conversion of primordial follicles into tertiary, secondary, preantral, and antral follicles continues throughout life yet after puberty the antral follicles are selected to grow under a follicular wave in cattle due to the establishment of the relationship between the hypothalamus-pituitary gonadal axis and thus the antral follicles enter sequential growth under pituitary hormone influence. Before puberty, the primordial follicle growth is dependent on intraovarian factors and maybe they enter atresia at a faster rate.

    Can we convert or manipulate follicular waves? (Convert 2 follicular waves into 3 follicular waves)

    • @GNPSir
      @GNPSir  2 года назад

      Boer et al., 2011 J Dairy Sci proposed a model through which the 3-wave cycle could possibly be changed to -2 wave cycle in dairy cows however, this seems extremely difficult practically as it is really difficult to control so many factors proposed in this study.

    Hello Sir I have husky female which is 28months old, Recently she came into heat,and blood was coming till 40 days (blood was watery) I have taken to vet,done CBC,KFT,LFT, vaginal cytology,and ultrasound too,but there was no infection and tumor,my female dog was active and eating good,what may be problem Sir,Can you please help me out

      Dear Pawan
      Prolonged bleeding can be because of ovarian cysts, tumors or tumor of pituitary. I would suggest hCG injection like Pubergen 22 IU per Kg IM for 3 days. Also check for TVT if TVT is present vincristine is advisable. If you don't want pups hysterectomy can be a better option in ovarian tumors
