Better suggestions on how to get a clean cut when trimming off the extra would be nice as gaps between film and edge of glass would look bad.
Yes, we recommend cutting as close to the edge as you can. Squeegee it to the very edge, then cut on the opposite side of the squeegee for a perfect cut!

First time installing as we speak and it's going very well, just as I remove bubbles, bubble lines appear at the edges, I imagine if I cut they're removed but I also imagine that you gotta be patient to let the adhesive resume and then use the squeegee again right?

I am creating a glass top coffee table with a light inside. I want to put the privacy film on the bottom-side of the glass top with the reflection side facing up. I don't want the table top to have the film on the top, but rather the bottom due to wear and tear issues. Is this possible or would I just put it on the top and add another layer of glass for the final table top.
The reflective side has the adhesive, so that is the side that need's to be applied to the glass. :)
Hi could you age mirror film ? Thinking of making a two-way mirror for Halloween but as you know the film looks new so wondering if there was a way to age a 2 way mirror but still allow for a TV to show a horror figure video from behind ? Some have said mirror spray paint spray fine would work ?
Hi! Yes, you could use spray paint!
Could also get the antique colored mirror film.
Does the application spray solution permanently glue the film to the window (this is what I want)- or does it come off when pulled?
It does make it stick on there pretty well! However, it can come off when pulled (so people are able to use it for apartments/temporary living situations as well).

Inside. Outside is easier because you don't have to worry about making a mess, but you will have to replace it way sooner due to weather.

How does the film react with water? I am considering using this for a fish tank. Does it dissolve over time? How susceptible is it to scratches?
The film will not stay applied with water!

I've got windows with bumpy, textured glass in my shower room. I've already put 3M plastic film over the windows to add insulation. Is it possible to put this over the plastic film? I need to reflect the sun that's coming in and heating up my apartment.
The film needs to go directly onto the glass.
@@twowaymirrors well I think I'll give it a try anyway. At this point I'm desperate for the sun not to enter that little room and it feels like this is my only option. Unfortunately the people who installed the windows put the bumpy side on the inside instead of the outside and one if the sliding windows is glued in place so I can't even take them off the runners and put the film on the smooth side of the glass. Who knows? It might work!

Hi! The window film should be placed on the inside to help with insulation and protect it from the weather! :)
@@twowaymirrors It says to install to inside BUT, I'm applying mine to the outside because when installing to the inside, my double glazing gets really hot and in danger of breaking. When applying outside, this doesn't happen.
Jessica you are great love the energy and knowledge displayed in the video. Try to limit the extra hand movements for a more natural look. Also see if you get a microphone to cut out background noise. Other than that good video.

It is applied on the inside! :)
Does this provide privacy during night too or only day?
It works at night too! You will need to place outside lights near your window for it to work properly.
Does this film provide privacy at night when the room is bright inside?
The room has to be darker than the lighting outside. Many people will put lights outside of their windows to create more light.

What is the lifespan of the film?
Depending on how well it is installed. It can start to bubble around 3 years if not installed with care.

Yes, but it doesn't work very well!

I tried turning the volume off, and just watching the video. Nope. The two way mirror film may be an excellent product....but I would encourage management of this company to find someone to properly produce product information videos. Although there is good photography in this video, the rest resembles a Jr. high school project.
