If you know me, you know I only like to give positive reviews, which can be a little confusing when I tell you I really like a guitar. Like, do I REALLY like it, or just kinda like it because it's good enough?
Sometimes both. But in this case, I, like, LIKE like this one. This is my first review for EART guitars, and it's a doozy! The TL-380 (or T-380 on Amazon) is a T-style in the mode of the Charvel San Dimas guitars, but retails for just $499 CAD. It's an HH configuration with coil splitting and a three-way switch, making it super versatile.
But to PLAY...OMG...this thing absolutely slams. It's got a compound 9.5 to 14 inch radius, a compound U to C shaped neck, bone nut, hot ceramic pickups for modern metal, a two-point non-locking trem system, and a fully shielded control cavity. It also has a near flawless finish, an easy-access truss wheel, and the best out-of-the-box fret job I've ever seen, anywhere.
