I watched the first and I don't remember it! Due to that I never bothered with the rest. I watch a lot of low budget films, I clearly hate myself, and quite often I'm surprised that some of th are excellent either is storytelling pacing or sfx but these films seem like some wannabe director got his/her unwilling family and friends and slapped it together!

As someone who's watched their fair share of Tubi horror movies, I can safely say for every good horror film, theres a dozen cheaply made bootleg looking movies someone made for the price of a Happy Meal.
It's amazing that a few guys with a camera on a limited budget can make something vastly better than people with actual budgets at times. I'm of course talking about Marble Hornets, TribeTwelve, Everymanhybrid and dark Harvest. (You can watch it for free on RUclips so that's a bonus.)

I've only dealt with news through college, but we definitely don't show kids, or say kids' names, or say that the person who did it straight up did it. We just say allegedly. Let alone show "actual evidence" of a crime scene if it's got blood on it, blood of kids mostly, and dead bodies. Especially bodies of kids

College journalists actually have some integrity and standards... that being said it's illegal to publish images or names of minors without express, written permission from the guardians in most jurisdictions, as well as being illegal to publish the names and images of child victims and criminals in many jurisdictions. And in jurisdictions where such things are not illegal... you will probably still get sued for doing so.

I'm honestly shocked at how seemingly unwilling the "American Conjuring" director was to shoot the witch in shadow. It's like rule 1 of budget horror. If you cant afford good special effects, just cast it in shadow so the audience can't tell, with the added benefit that it adds to the spook factor.

Start a crowd fund to produce your own horror film. Even just a 30 minute short film. I’d 100% help fund it. Id give anything to see a unique story line, good cinematography, solid color grading, a decent script, an original antagonist and a hell of a twist, one that actually pulls the entire plot together while throwing it upside down at the same time, rather than this modern day slapped together garbage, that hardly relates to the story or the characters. I’ve been following you for a while, and I think you have the intelligence, creativity and expertise to pull it off.

Pushing Up Roses made me aware of the way that goosebumps and other kid's scary media edits their jumpscare to literally not scare the viewer and instead show the character being scared and now i can't help but notice when actual horror movies do the same thing and i can't tell if it's a creative choice or bad editing

I saw on some other reviews that it is kind of common for some "studios" to take some of these badly produced movies, and rename them according to more well known movies, even if it was way after the original release/recording

It's kind of funny, that's the first of these movies me and my housemates watched and it was SOOOO good (in terms of funny-bad) that the rest pale in comparison. We started too strong. But that's why i had to make this video a part 1 because that Nun movie needs its own episode.

It's kind of funny, that's the first of these movies me and my housemates watched and it was SOOOO good (in terms of funny-bad) that the rest pale in comparison. We started too strong. But that's why i had to make this video a part 1 because that Nun movie needs its own episode.

CorderyFX He’s probably talking about Elvis the Aliens review of the Nun (he later in the video reviewed the rip off films) but if he actually watched this video before commenting he’d realise you’re reviewing all the different rip off films.

Picked up American Conjuring from my library to watch last year. It was torture but also a fever dream.
I enjoy watching funny videos about movies more than truly delving into the art/creation of them- but I found all the stuff about the color correction and day to night techniques you explained here super interesting. Your changes made the movie look actually super legit! A real polished turd!
