Good video. Great gun, I have the same in SAO, and the 220 Legion SAO, and 229 Legion which is my favorite. I like Vedder Holsters for all my Sigs. Thank you and best regards
@mario the great I was going to go with the x-carry but I canceled that order and decided to go with this.. This is my first firearm as well and a serious investment at that, if I'm going to do it I wanna do it right. The x-carry is able to do a lot, but you will end up spending just as much money trying to customize it to your liking. This comes ready to go out the box. Also think about what you're going to use it for.
mario the great well if you have the money. P226 is the way to go. I went ahead and ordered mines today. So super excited. !! My next gun is gna be a 1911, then I'm done. I'll maybe do the 45 as a carry, not sure yet.
I called them Friday and I asked them about the legion holsters and they told me they don’t make one that accommodates for the optic or a threaded barrel. This handgun suppressed runs surprisingly well!
Ivan Vega I bet going suppressed with this one is awesome! I believe SIG teamed up with Blackpoint Tactical for the holster I have. You could check their website or call them. Most of the holsters that SIG sells come from them.
Have you had any issues with the PVD finish? I've heard some not so great things about it but I hate the cerakote finish. It looks green to me. I'm hoping to get one this year at some point.
I got to shoot this today folks tacking a ragged hole smooth no jam no issues. Cowitness sight picture with ease aid in quick target acquisition by far one of the best P series I had in my hand 4 sets 5 rounds 1-1.25" groups at 10 yards
David Cook On this particular model, the Romeo1 red dot came already mounted. On others, they make a plate that covers that spot and you can just remove the plate and screw on the Romeo1 red dot. Other bring red dots may require some additional work, but with the Romeo1 style being made by SIG, it fits perfect.
The 1911 style safety... how do you like it? I’m considering this handgun but idk how well it would carry with just one safety and no beavertail safety.
Victor Torres This gun is completely stock. No mods done. SIG put their flat trigger on this gun and they also have this trigger on a few others like the P320 XCarry and the XFive. Absolutely love this trigger!
wmitchell51 The dot stays on unless you manually turn it off. If it stays completely still, it will go into sleep mode. While in sleep mode, if you pick it up, the light is turned back on before you can even point the weapon.
KingOf Ny Yes, there are different models. This is the Single Action Only version. (SAO) The flat trigger is well worth it!! You won’t want to go back.
Jeremy Minter so yours didn't come with the red dot? I just happened to call the store where I'm getting mines, and they now have the SAO. He was explaining to me that the SAO is better then the DA/SA. Your thoughts ??
KingOf Ny Mine did come with the red dot. I love the SAO. It will be a personal choice. Not sure that it is better, but for this particular gun, I love it!
Ivan Vega I went through SIG directly. Called them and advised I have the P226 SOA Legion and this was their only IWB option at that time. Sorry, do not know the name of it, but if you go to the website, you can find it. There aren’t many options period.
Too bad you live in Fla. Especially in summer. Come up to New Hampshire for the summer and camp out at the Sig HQ house which is near the coast line. Lobster rolls all day long😂 Bring an empty suitcase 😁 Myself? No thanks on SIG unless it's an old metal target model.
John Lovelace I have now had the opportunity to put a couple thousand rounds through this gun and I have had zero issues out of the Romeo1. Every time I pick it up, the dot it on. It never blinks or anything. Once I zeroed it in for my eye, the dot has not walked. I could not be happier with this entire setup. I have recently purchased another SIG and bought the Romeo1 for it as well.
I sincerely mean this in a positive way... Be more enthusiastic. I have several awesome handguns, and some decent ones, and a few that pretty much suck, but my Sig Legion SAO is truly an amazing gun for the price. It just surprised me that you seemed somewhat unimpressed.
Seven Wonders Maybe he’s just not overly excitable guy. That’s OK. Personally I’d be pretty excited and you’d probably hear it in my voice but I’m also very animated. With that being said it is what it is and certainly doesn’t make him wrong.
Excellent Gun and Commentator......I Have One.....Former HPD Officer With 37 Years of Services..
Honest Outlaw & you have sold me on buying this gun! Good news is I am an NRA Instructor & can get it for quite a bit less!
Beautiful gun. I plan on getting the exact same gun.

Thanks for taking the time to produce and post this video.
Just got one of these and it’s a great pistol. I’m very impressed with my range time.
When you write in for it do you still get the custom cut foam case complimentary or is it a carry range bag now?
@@B137-w2c range bag from 511
Bro, you did Awesome!!!
Going to purchase one as soon as I can locate it. Thanks
Black Point Tactical makes the holsters for the Legion pistols as well as other makes.
Love mine just picked it up. Cowitness on the sights no need to remove the red dot. She’s perfect
John I’m not really liking the 1/3 Co. too buried I’m used to the Holosun Circle Dot.Can you raise the dot to center screen and find a Zero?
Just got one of these used and can’t wait to get it out to the range.
Great. Whats the retail value for that please?

Beautiful gun you got there. I like it!
You start at the top of the barrel nice choice
I have the Legion 226 SAO . WHAT A GREAT GUN !!! 1500 Flawless rounds so far . Awesome that you bought the RX 👍 NEW SUBSCRIBER 👍 👍 .
Would you recommend it for everyday carry?
dave gass What makes it the RX The Cut out and Optic purchased one used and I do have that on mine but guy didn’t mention (RX)?
Just got mine used in great condition at the local shop. How often do you clean it and what product would you recommend? Tx!
...all day...thank you....yep...!!!
As my first gun I want a sig. The full sized p320, p320 x carry and the p226 are the 3 choices I have narrowed it down too.
mario the great
I have the x carry coming in soon. Can’t wait for that one! This P226 is absolutely amazing though!!!
@@jeremyminter1283 please put out a video on the x carry when u get it. would really appreciate it.

On the Sig web they sell a Mitch Rosen for SAO with optic.
Nice review . I'm looking into getting one . 1200.00 a lot of money for a hand gun , very nice

Haven’t had any issues with mine so far. I have two other buddies with a similar set up and neither of theirs is messed up
Thx for the review. Nice pistol.
That’s a bad-ass pistol!
Thx. How many pound is the Triger please?
3.2
Thx. Very nice. Do u remember whats the Value?
It’s been a while, but the Legion version with the Romeo1 was just over $1,000

Todd is the RX version. A little more expensive. You said it came with suppressor height sights.. Did it come with the red dot optic too?
Yes. Came just as you see it
May have missed it but is that sight 3 moa or 6?
mclaren1231000
3 moa
Where can I get this gun? I’m in Florida and ready to buy.
Right now is not a good time with the demand going on. I haven’t seen one in stores for probably 6 months.
Just ordered one today. So the red dot didn’t need to be zeroed at all? Thanks in advance
michael1of2
Mine didn’t. I have heard of others who have moved it slightly based on their eyesight and aim, but mine was perfect.
What's the price on that gun I would like to purchase one
Mine was 1550 for the sig p226 rxp da/sa
Single action only version is $1,400
@@jeremyminter1283 im sure i fell victim to the covid price jack. It took my gf 3 months to even find one in San Antonio

@@jeremyminter1283 understood.
Is this optic cut model compatible with a Trijicon RMR?
J.L.H
You would need a separate mounting plate, as this is designed for their SIG mounting pattern. Most red dots have different mounting patterns.
Does it come with a RMR plate cover in case you want to remove the Romeo 1?
Raul Ramirez
No, this model did not come with the plate.

how quick can you clear a mag?

Mentally, it took a little bit to get used to. But after carrying it for a while, it doesn’t bother me. Proper holsters make it better.

Does it one with the plate if you want to take off the Romeo 1??
italianrelic
Mine did not. But would never take it off after seeing how much I like the setup.
Does the red dot still turn off even if it's your EDC?
