    The black conductor was in several Stooges shorts also - he was always great

    • @befdoglover1
      @befdoglover1 Год назад +2

      I don't remember which Stooges short he played on. I can only remember Dudley Dickerson who was known for his wide eyed expression and his screaming whenever he got scared. Also known for uttering "this house is sho gone crazy" in the plumbing short. This guy that is playing the conductor here does not look like him to me.

    How fun would that be to be a character on a train that WC Fields rode the rails.?

    He was hilarious. I watched his movies on TV when I was a child in the early 1970s. His voice was a hoot. Timeless humor.

    Godfrey Daniels! A few funny 50 yo WC memories.
    Ah yes, Drink...one of the greatest pleasures in life. CHEAP...
    it cost me $5 a gallon! On our excursion to Afghanistan
    we lost our corkscrew, we had to go for days, on food and water.
    I bought a wonderful club in Toronto, yeah, a Canadian Club.
    The Duchess and I sat up til 4 o'clock, and drank 3 quarts of rye.
    I spent half my money on gambling, alcohol and wild women, the other
    half I wasted. Why do you drink so much...cause I like it.
    WC is even funnier, if you slow the playback speed to about 85%. :)

    Does anyone out there in Comment Land know of the scene/movie where W.C. punches his wife and knocks her out?? It might have been his mother-in-law. In any event, the lady is running him down telling him how disgusting he is and he finally had enough and punches her in her face. I have a bet with someone about this. Thanks!
