If there was a ‘love’ button on this video I would hit it. It’s a really insightful video for those who live with migraine sufferers to watch or understand what us migraine sufferers go through. Thank you xx
Oh yes...I was driving home a long distance in an ice storm when my car hit some black ice...my car started spinning doing a 360° while a semi truck passed my driver's side window so close I could touch it! I remember thinking to myself, "this is it...I'm going to be in a huge accident and my car will be totaled and I will be in the hospital!" I tried to remain calm and turned my wheel in the direction I was spinning and I ended up facing the oncoming traffic. This all happened just outside of Indianapolis Indiana and all I could see was the traffic facing me and the drivers looking at me through the small clean spots on their windshields. I backed up slowly and got turned around and took my exit. By the time I was off the ramp a huge migraine hit me. Wow was it bad and I thought it was odd that it didn't hit until after the scary incident and once I was safe again. Our bodies are so weird...Lol!
This is such a helpful video! Sometimes my bad headaches don’t reach migraine level and I almost do a little happy dance. Stress is a big trigger for me, if I have had been in a really stressful situation my migraines tend to hit full force a few hours later or the next day. Its like my body is telling me I need to stop and recover as I get so overstimulated. I am also autistic so I think it tends to burn me out too so the migraine has a Perfect exclude to take over
I'm new to the migraine world. But I've noticed that if I'm awake for too long the pressure in my head builds up and I can feel a migraine coming, and I can see lights and I cannot think really well and have trouble talking.
Wow that is a lot. I'm so sorry to hear about these symptoms! That's so much to deal with. I'm intrigued by the fact that it worsens over the day... if your migraines are postural, have you looked into CSF leaks to make sure that's ruled out for you? I ask because leaks are often treatable but misdiagnosed as "just migraine" which leaves the patient to suffer needlessly. Gosh I hope you are able to find some relief 💜
Yes because my triger for my vestibular migraine is stress and anxiety because 1 out of 2 times I got anxiety then after like 10 20 min after that I got my migraine symptoms or if I'm stressed it's also a part that I can get a migraine
I get tension headaches, pain/tension in my neck will cause the headache then later on trigger the migraine and I'll get pain behind the eye. I've started to notice that I get noise sensitive, everything sounds louder when a migraine is coming. I recently had an MRI on my head and neck but were informed it was normal. Not sure what's next, I've been on Topirimate but it's not helping. Hopefully I can get something new that might help or see a neurologist
Sensitivity to light and sound are very common in migraine. A neuro should be able to help with other meds! There's a whole list to try out after topiramate. A long journey and not easy but you can do it 💜 I hope you find answers for your headaches and other symptoms, whether it be migraine or something else!
There's an acronym of the various modifiable lifestyle factors that can contribute to successful migraine management to raise your migraine threshold. It's SEEDS. Sleep exercise eat diary and stress are what they stand for.
for me, i get migraines when im stressed for a prolonged period of time. if i have a stressful few hours, it wont affect my migraine cycle, if im stressed for a day or more, im more likely to get a migraine. also weird thing for me, anxiety meds can help with my stress levels but dont help much with my migraines.
Hi, I came across your video about being misdiagnosed as having migraines, but it turned out that you had IIH. My episodic migraines became chronic a little over three months ago. I had an MRI and the person who read it suggested that I have findings consistent with IIH. I went to a neurologist for the first time in September and he didn’t think I had it because I don’t fit the demographic. He said I could go to an neuro- ophthalmologist to help rule out or confirm if I have IIH. I can’t get in to see the neuro- ophthalmologist until January. None of the migraine treatments are working. And I am having more attacks now even 2 to 3 in one day on some days. My question for you is did you end up having migraines and IIH combined?
Hi1 Gosh, sorry to hear that! I'm confirmed now for Migraine, IIH, and unfortunately I'm also a CSF leaker. I have videos about my IIH journey and the therapies I've done to help it. This video will hopefully get you on the right rabbit hole to see how I'm managing it now: ruclips.net/video/-5ucUTPOEiI/видео.htmlsi=bJQQTXbifm1K1CxD
I have a question - is it difficult to get the disability level / card /whatever you call it for migraine? I've been thinking about getting mine 'cause migraine is a serious part of my congenital diseases
I was told I don't qualify for disability income for Migraine, so I've never been on it. I do think some people are able to get approved but it's not an easy approval.
I appreciate the "hey, come back to me if you are multi-tasking"
Haha I gotchu! A podcast did that to me once and I needed it so badly 😂

Yep...I think mine did too. Lol! @@MommingwithMigraine
I've never heard it called sunburn skin before, but yeah. I get something akin to that.

I get atmospheric headaches I use deep blue and past tense. They help me.
You got me multi-tasking... 😂
😂😂😂 caaauugghhtttt you 😋
It's so funny I was listening to a podcast or watching a video that did that to me and I was like that is absolutely brilliant
Not gonna lie I was definitely multitasking when it happened to me too hahaha

That's interesting. I think my tolerance for stress varies based on how much other stuff I tried to get away with at the same time 😄
