Ben... I love your channel and follow you on all your travels. this question is totally off-topic for this video. ... but here goes... Im on the NCL
Pride of America and found the customer service a bit more laid back than other ships..also something we like was an ice bucket in our room. Have you noticed if other ships have ice available....seems like a small thing but we like ice for our water and other drinks in the room... Sorry, I know it sounds like a little issue but it's important to us. We are older and spend a lot of time in our room and on the balcony. Thanks ahead of time.... I was told to cross the bridge and go to the left and I got fantastic fish and chips from a tiny takeaway shop. Unfortunately I don’t remember the name. @efkay93 4 дня назад +1

Rock used to be known as Rock Salmon, however it certainly isn't related to salmon and indeed the salmon industry managed to force the name to be shortened to Rock. Actually it isn't a fish, but a type of shark! As a Londoner, 'rock salmon and chips' was the fish and chips of choice and even now is rarely found outside of London. It remains my fish of choice when wanting fish and chips in London. It has a single gelatinous bone. The true accompaniment to f&c is malt vinegar and salt, plus a fair portion of proper mushy peas! The substitution of lemon and tartare sauce is a way to upmarket and upsell the humble fish and chips.

Oh dear. Not a good review. The only crisp chips you will get from a traditional fish and chip shop are the tiny overcooked pieces/scraps/shrapnel that some people like. Chips should be judged by taste/quality of potatoes/quality of cooking oil. Tartar sauce is usually added to the fish, not the chips. Presentation - who cares about presentation? You eat your fish and chips with your eyes first and then with your mouth. It does not matter a jot if they come in greaseproof paper with extra paper sheets around, or if they come in a box. What does matter is that the fish batter should not be covered by the chips as they will tend to soften the batter. If you want good, albeit expensive, fish and chips then go to the highly rated emporiums in Ladbrooke Grove or Muswell Hill, and I am sure there are many other good chip shops around as well. Some of the best I ever had came from a shop in Brabazon St in the east, London they were cheap and fantastic.
