The windows trim is stunning… it frames an everchanging seasonal view God as nature as art. Beautiful.
You did a fantastic job on those windows. The plants really set it off, and the view is amazing! That must be SO satisfying!
Better not make Katie mad buddy the way she handled that fire wood she would be a force to recon with.
Just think the views out of those four windows will never stay the same like a Painting. Enjoy the four seasons. The wood work around them looks amazing so congratulations to you both. xxxxx
Those windows are BEAUTIFUL. I remember that awesome smell in the woods after a rain and when everything comes alive again. You are so fortunate to have that beautiful property❤
Leaving off the hose clamps from all those connections is a good idea. Much better to quickly reconnect after separation than splitting the line which causes cutting out bad sections and having more connections to reconnect at spring thaw.
The windows and plants look beautiful!
Now I understand why most homesteads don't have kids running around your either too busy or too tired for the nasty great job on the windows Greg, it's turning a house into a beautiful home
Your intros are just the best. Really doing an epic job with terrific results. What a team , but your menagerie just makes me happy and smile every time. What joy you’ve created for them 🥰🤗
Katie is a true Lumber Jack! She lifts those large ass logs like they are nothing.💪
Lumber Jill!
There ain’t no doubt off grid self sufficient ( as much as possible ) is no joke ! It’s not for lazy people that’s a fact country living and self sufficiency is constant work every day especially if you live In a real cold climate.
Trim wood on the four windows turned out beautiful and the view of the mountain is spectacular!
What I like about you house design is the fact that you have a rooftop patio and can add an addition should you ever want to. ❤️🇨🇦
Wow - leaving your bedroom to such a beautiful view! Priceless...
Window trim looks great. Door casings and baseboards and crown molding and... never ending list of things to be done. But at least the water is flowing. Thanks for the video.
Your Windows came out So Beautiful ❤Love your plants!
Beautiful view from the windows and Katie you rock!!! ❤️🇨🇦
You guys are doing a very beautiful basic home. It is something that I never do, so watching you two work your magic is great. Beautiful home that is coming along nicely.
The power, dedication and perseverance, is astonishing to watch Katie toss logs around like a WWE wrestler.
She needs to have her legs do more of the work. Kate, you are bending your back to much. It will catch-up to you later in life.
You guys are awesome the way you work together, You get a lot accomplished, Katie is tougher than Woodpecker Lips, watching her load those logs on the truck was impressive, Greg you are one lucky man to have a partner who is there to help carry the load with whatever projects you are doing. All the best from Florida USA.
After you cut the tree down, I see the color of the tree, I would safe it for furniture inside, the tree color looks awesome, I’m impressed what super woman Katie is , ❤❤
Spring is here! Y’all were able to get a lot done. Windows look great, plenty of firewood,& water is good to go. Excellent progress Katie,& Greg!💯👏🏾😀🫶🏾💜✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸

Katie & Greg, I have gone back and watched all your videos from the beginning. You both are doing a great job on your off grid property. I'm a 71 year old widow from Central Iowa, USA
That's one thing I don't miss is getting firewood for the stove.

Window trim looks great!
Window trim dressed them up so much. Wow!
Beautiful little corner with plants awesome
The trim, plants and views make the corner unique. A sight to behold.
Finally first like!
❤ u guys from Mississauga, On.
To avoid cutting into dirt, cut most of the way, and roll the log to finish it. 😊
Those cats gonna love those scratch post ya building around the windows.
Another good one.
The woodwork around the windows is gorgeous 😍
Katie you are amazing powerful woman as Greg say😊
Those screw type hose clamps can work out to be expensive but there is a much more economic solution.
If you use bailing wire, wrap it around the pipe twice before twisting it and once both sides are done, twist the wires together effectively joining the whole lot together.
That way the pipes cannot move away from each other and slip off the pipe joiner.
It works, is cheap and quickly replaceable and all round a good thing.
ALSO...
I'm not one of those "nanny" types BUT...
Just maybe it is time to get at least 1 pair of chainsaw chaps...
As the old timers say, "An ounce of prevention..."
And I don't think that ANY of us who follow you guys want to see the channel name change to "This Off Grid Life WITH ONE LEG".
And by the way, those windows look... WOW...
Hello . I watched your video and saw your wonderful images. The important thing is that the girl is very strong after working very hard. I like your video. Wishing you all good health and I always look forward to your videos!

Have you ever used a Test kit for your ' Spring Water ' that fills the Cistern ? Happy Trails from Eastern Canada to Western Canada 🇨🇦 ✌ out
that btrim just finishes those windows and frames that great view
People have lived offgrid for thousands of years. Much of the world's population was offgrid until the 1950s because there was no grid available in their area. Returning to that lifestyle would wreck most as we have gotten soft as a result of the wonders resulting from electricity. Now that electricity is available independent of centralized power distribution offgrid living is a viable option in the modern world. The window trim turned out super. Ya gotta love it when it all starts coming together for ya. All the sweat equity is paying off.
You can follow also,Cezar Machidon vlog, living off grid.
Excellent trim work you guys. Love it.
All your windows are beautiful, the trim makes them pop❗ Those four in the corner WOW💥❗good score for firewood HUGE tree❗
Katie, the windows look awesome, I'm jealous. Little bit of trim makes a world of difference ❤
I agree. That four window corner is special!!
The windows look great. And what a view! Slowly but surely......😊
Window finishing just gorgeous!
I'm doubly impressed with the lof lifts onto the trucks .... in Aus we would need a front end loader for a piece of eucalyptus that size!!

Katie’s a tough cookie!Grrrrrrrr😂
5 comments, 1. I have a friend who lives in Alaska, Through the "warm" months, she cuts a truck load of fire wood, most every day, In this (your) situation, cutting wood in the cold months because you need it, sucks. Cutting wood in the cold months just to stay ahead,is smart. Thinking ahead to next year, is the smartest thing you can do. I still say, you need another, bigger woodshed to keep enough wood for the worst winter that you'll have is the only way you can think about as far as how much do we need? One thing you have gong in your favor, the home you've built is super insulated, You have done an excellent job is doing that. The only place I see you loosing heat is all those beautiful windows, but hey, it's a trade off, I'd want the view too!
2.That log, at least on this end, looked like it would have been an awesome saw log, I'm guessing it's always a Do we make lumber, or make more firewood?
3 Your window trim, IMO, is second to none. I don't see you being able to go buy lumber and make it look any better!!
4. Katy is one hellova hard worker for sure! She honestly does the work of two men!
5. It would be soooooo cool to see you two be able to rent a ditchwich and be able to buy your water line! I wouldn't be happier to you do that, if it was my own line!
I always love seeing all the adorable animals in the beginnings of your videos 🥰❤️ and you guys, that master bedroom corner window section turned out BEAUTIFUL!! 😱❤️ The firewood and water are always your constant struggles, but you always have a good time while working, and you two make a great team. Love ya both! 😊❤
I love the way the windows came out!!
Brings back memories when I use to have to check my water line in winter. Had a bad freeze one year, what a challenge 😅
For being off grid, you're not missing much and what you are missing is probably not missed at all. Camping with all of the conveniences. Have good days!

The Mingo Marker Firewood Measuring Tool - Chainsaw Firewood Marking Tool - Log Paint Marker -Firewood Measuring Tool For Chainsaw - Logging Tools (Mingo Marker With 6"-12"-24" Wheel. Not sure if you knew about this tool. 😊
Fantastic job on the windows love them. That was a good load of wood from one tree. God Bless from your Canadian Friend.
Katie, you are an amazing lady! I hope Greg realizes how fortunate he is to have you!
omg...the four corner windows are spectacular. Great job!
Should have brought the chipper for the limɓs . 😊
You have done a super job!! But honestly, Katie, you might be able to lift all that now, but in later years it will tell on you~! Be careful!!! Always exciting to see what you are up to.
Suggestion for getting window trip plum and square instead of using shims. Use sheet rock screws as shims. Generally, it only takes 6 or 8 screws
Maybe splice the hose on the outside. It helps with the ice.
Greg you are amazing so much work taken care of !
Good morning, how are you folks doing today? Hope everybody's having a great Day Out there. Keep up the good work and be happy. I guess you're gonna get everything else done I Get you guys later
The "quad window" is gorgeous! You guys amaze me!

Your visions came alive, those windows are amazing.
Katie, your a beast. You throw those rounds around like a pro. Greg, nice window treatments, you do good work.
Beautifully trimmed corner window. A great place to lie in bed and admire the view.
I am a Very loyal but a quite follower. I loved What you both have achieved. I love people who are creative and hard workers, you two resemble me alot. Lots of Love from Australia at the moment but I have been following you two from Turkey straight from the start❤️🔥🙏🏻❤️🔥
must be nice to have your better half help so much
@ 18:10 looks like time to start building the second woodshed / best thing about two is one is always seasoned and ready and one is ready for new wood when it comes available
Goodjobilikeit
Reminds me of living in the north when I was young. A lot of work for a couple of weeks worth of heat. Go easy on your back ! It will catch up to you in the future.
Love those big windows especially the trimmings!😍 great job as always!🙌
When shimming frames you need to put a shim in fat side first and another shim thin side in over the top. Keeps the boards square. This means cutting the fat side of the shim to the correct thickness. Takes some time. And maybe you are doing this already. I just couldn’t tell. 😊
Very nice job on the trim around the windows it looks amazing ! That was a big tree good to stay ahead incase you get a hernia getting the big ones ! good job being safe with the saw girl you got it done :) Yes the big boy too ! Nice having running water even when you have to run up the line a few times :)
We loved watching!
