Various Hand motions in Endodontics part 1- Watch Winding technique

Watch winding motion - A gentle right and left rocking motion of the file which causes it to cut with a slight apical pressure keeps the file engaged and progressing towards apex.
This technique is less aggressive as the tip of the instrument is not forced into the apical area with each motion, thereby reducing the chances of instrumental errors.
