Never knew about pressing the Z mode button twice. Thanks
This works although my PTM required a different setting: Race 1
Just set up my 2024 Z51 with mag ride as you did. Easy
Looking forward to trying launch control . Thanks
Can’t wait to get home and try it out
If you go into Z mode and set one of the PTM settings it will always be ready when you hit the Z button. So you dont have to tap the Z button twice.
Awesome video buddy! I didnt know about it myself!
Great information, thank you.
Thank you for this video, and showing me features of my stingray.
Very informative channel.
Nicely explained.
Great information
Genius move 👍👍
Nice info!
In your ( My mode ) is the engine flipping between ( V8/V4 ). Or still in V8.
Will you please make a video how to get red off V4 in your car’s moods or any (custom mode ).
Thank!
Good info. I don't have MRC, so I can check this week and see if it works for me.
If I had to guess I would think it would not (unfortunately). But please let me know as I have not tried this on a non-Z51 or non mag ride car.
I have a 2020 z51 with mag ride and can’t get to the z mode level 2 ??
@@squirrelcagegarage hey pm me I have a question!
@@richbrown180 you had a question?
Brilliant
How does your car go to track mode on the screen when you select a mode. Mine does not do this. I’ll check my settings but I do have mag ride non-z51
Just make sure car is in Sport mode, tap the traction control button twice , your ESC will say competition mode and launch control is active. You can drive around this way and the car will always be ready to launch, much easier, quicker way.
What year is your car? Does that work for a 2023?
It doesn’t work for ‘24
I have a 2023 Stingray and on "My Mode" it doesn't let me adjust the suspension, it doesn't even show up. It's only steering, brake feel, and engine sound. How did you get your suspension to show up on there?
Do you have magnetic ride control? If not then that is why it isn't coming up.
@@squirrelcagegarage no I don't, thank you man that makes it much more clear.
Cool!
Hi for Z51 if I do launch control 2,3 times every weekend, should be fine or? (on street and stock tires) I believe for Z51 it's under warranty if you take it to a drag strip, but I still don't want to break it or put too much wear/ tear into it. Wondering if any Z51 had problems doing launches every weekend and if I should cut down since I heard there are other DCT probelms other than doing launches.
You should be fine launching it as long as its past the 500mi or better 1500. As long as your under warranty they should not complain. There have half shafts broken but GM fixed it without issue from what they said. If everything is stock go have fun
remember to be over 1500mi and watch those half shafts. .lol
Haha, very true 👍
That feature was not on the 2020 C8s, just FYI. It was added sometime in the 2021 model year.
true mine does not have it 2020 z51
I'm unable to do this in my non-Z51 non-mag 2023.
Thanks for posting this comment. Saved me a bunch of time.
Try setting PTM higher
You want get the performance from 0 to 60 this way
I'll be honest. I absolutely love the info you share (that's why I subscribed) but dread watching due to the poor production look and feel. In the C8 community you have some of the best content info on a regular basis hands down. Don't go buy some pricey cameras, just get some cheap camera/phone mounts, halo lights and head mounts for some GoPro clones. When your filming with one hand and showing how to pull out the dash or other how to's. Good job, but could have been so much better and so much more popular. Keep up the great work and as always, another big thumbs up to you. 👍
Thank you sir. I appreciate the compliment and the input. I'm working on some better equipment etc.... I was really learning as I went on how to do editing etc. Trying to make it better.
Not quick! Do what your sub title says and only that…..blah blah
