- Third on our list of tier lists is fusion rifles: much less viable than snipers and shotguns in endgame PvE, and there's quite a bit fewer of them. I'm trying to get better at making these shorter, and there's music in this one :)

Please don't take this as a hater thing, but: I've seen people call CoolGuy videos analytical before, which... his content is mostly weapon reviews about how different guns make him feel, which is the equivalent of an LFGer swearing up and down Thunderlord does big damage. He's a pretty strong Crucible player, so I'd give that more weight than some random RUclips commenter like me has to say, but it's still 99% fluff content. But this passes for analysis to D2 players, which is the part that actually bugs me.
In fact, I think the biggest condemnation of how little people actually notice about the game is the fact that they had to tell us about the new recoil system that came out this season in a TWID a month after it dropped because nobody noticed. Recoil is an incredibly important part of how this game works (especially in PVP), so how did literally zero people (or at least zero who were loud enough for me to encounter them) notice? No wonder we think "gun go brrr" is science.
from a content standpoint this wasn't THAT in depth all he did was skimmed through all the perks on DIM and gave his thoughts. Don't try to make it more than it really is due to bias. He didn't even dmg test everything nor does he say anything substantial about sleeper picks in most of these ranked reviews. It's all mostly common sense for a average d2 player. @@Vaultyboi22

I love the methodology behind these tier lists, extremely refreshing to observe in the space of Destiny 2 RUclips content. For some reason Null Composure is the only fusion I feel could be placed higher even though I agree with your assessment as applied to the list overall. Could be an underrating of Feeding Frenzy, but that could also be my bias in favor of this weapon. Great vid!!

Coriolis Force is (and most of the Europa weapons for that matter are) such a mystery for me. We don't have more agg frame fusions according to Bungie because it wasn't well received but also, it has a really non desirable perk pool for it. The only thing on it that really takes advantage of the horizontal burst is OFA, and a case could also be made for Moving target since you would want to try to strafe to land all your bolts on one target. And all this is without considering its odd perk placements. It's a very nonsensical gun, and a self fulfilling prophecy imo, no clue what they were even trying for.
I see what you mean about the europa weapons... the only good one is biting winds for pvp but the rest are just a total mystery, like why would anyone ever use thermal erosion.
It's the only *legendary* aggressive frame fusion, but Delicate Tomb functions the same way when hipfired, with the option to ADS to have a normal spread, and it synergizes incredibly well with Arc 3.0 mechanics. Probably one of my favorite low-end content guns, and given its ability to spam AOE damage from jolt, the horizontal spread just doesn't feel nearly as out of place on it.
I probably wouldn't take Delicate Tomb into anything actually hard because I rarely take Arc generally into anything actually hard (aside from Combination Blow builds for solo dungeons and the like, but even then you probably want Tractor Cannon more), but I think if something like Stormcaller suddenly became one of the best raiding builds overnight, I'd use it way more.
@@HighFiveGhostenjoyer428 I used thermal erosion on my burning steps titan before they murdered burning steps, but honestly, I only used it because I like the feel of the gun. It isn't good.
Deliverance underrated here tbh. Demo+CC is a unique combo that provides some of the highest amount of utility out of any FR, specifically for osmio or renewal builds (I know that gets away from the scope of the list a little, but I find it’s a staple in my top slot alongside riptide for this reason)
I might've agreed last season, but the charge time has felt painful for freezing recently
Another benefit is I feel like the spread is more predictable so in GM'S I feel confident stunning and damaging from behind cover at a good distance, something I can't say the same for about Rapid Fires. I think it deserves a A because in it's element it is absolutely dominant
Deliverance is underrated only if you are a shadebinder warlock. It’s very good for that, but this is not a tier list for warlocks. Grasp hunter don’t need Deliverance and no one is playing stasis titan.
I already spoke about my thoughts on Deliverance vs. the community's general opinion of it but I'm glad you're enjoying using it on stasis subclasses :)
Since the chill clip nerf just happened I think the ranking is ok
Despite my love of Deliverance and belief it should be at least A tier due to double utility at the same time with demo and chill, this was absolutely amazing. First one of your videos I've seen. Subscribed and now gonna go find the rest of this series and see what else you do since this was done with an impressive amount of thought.

I've loved Midha's Reckoning since D1 (when you could snipe people across the map with it, which I can still do in the last sandbox). D2 I was so stoked it came back, and I use it often in raids and other end game content. Giving it A rating is very fair i think, as it could have better perks but it is still very good as is.

I can understand the hype on riptide. I run it on my second character (warlock). But deliverance will always be my baby. First chill clip fusion. I got mine crafted and around 3000 kills before riptide even came out. My favorite

This is the one I was waiting for. Imo fusions are the best special ammo weapon type reservoir burst and controlled burst are just too good with recon or envious
I can't wait for zealots reward to be craftable. We would finally have a good craftable void fusion. Arc and solar both have god tier craftable fusions

I found this super helpful cos I just don't know what works well with what and with so many other options in the game they end up in the too hard basket. Now I have a better idea of what to scrap/keep and look out for in future drops.
I started using Cartesian again and man I forgot how good it feels. One of the best fusion during Season of the Lost.

Finally, the content that the D2 scene has needed publically available and accessible for YEARS. As someone who regularly tries to get my MMO/LoL friends into this game it sucks that D2 doesn't have much good analytical content like those games do. Work like yours definitely sets a good example for anyone else looking to make meaningful info content.

Another banger video, but i would definitely advocate for a swap between Iota Draconis and the Hollow Words in the chart, even if it was based upon the points system.

Erimite is awesome, I love my reservoir envious roll, kinda sad it doesn’t have reconstruction, but I love it with my apex for very simple damage rotations, even if not the most optimal

I wonder how Coriolis Force compares to other fusion rifle damage base. I remember it doing really well and the only thing holding it back was the perks.

I was surprised Cartesian wasn't S tier, but I can understand why. Banshee's LFG Vorpal roll with accel and charge time mw has been my go-to backup damage special for years now. It makes sense that controlled burst has supplanted vorpal, but I figured the dps difference between rapids and high impacts was larger.
Also, really glad I decided to grind GMs when it was loaded question week. Got envious/RB and overflow/ALH/CB.
30:30 but high impacts shoot slow af so I will never use them. Wouldn’t you want to use adaptive like defiance szn fusion or rapid fires?

iterative loop is a mosnter in pvp with under pressure and kickstart, and voltshot in pve is a boss baker, criminal putting it only in decent tier
Voltshot in PvE is definitely not a boss baker any more (as I mentioned in the video), and that thing has no other good PvE perks for damage or utility

Envious assassin + controlled burst is just soooooo nice, I got the loaded question with that roll and with adept big ones it just makes it that much better. Can get over 17 rounds in the mag

Id like to suggest having a tab on the dps spreadsheet that shows base dps values for weapon archetypes. It is quite a lot to look at in the single and swap sheets to truly understand what is what. Would also make it easier to pick a specific weapon to choose to go for for whatever slot/situation you need.

you can practice it on your own, just load in solo and then when you have it down go lfg it

@@Ysl489Actually that sword is the stand vortex frame whose name can’t come to my mind right now. Vortex frames are much better than adaptive frames for well-skating

Any recommendations on what to pair with BNS + Env edge transit? Attempting to match void synergy and the tier list suggest going with null composure seeing as thats the best void from the list. Any other void weapons you would recommend to use in a dump scenario after Edge is empty?
There aren't really any super solid void dump options besides FTTC Nessa
A weapon not being solar should not knock it down, acrius, bequest and hothead are all arc and strong picks
We're talking best in class here so yes it does unfortunately, but it's half a point so it's almost nothing for fusions
acrius and bequest are not used in swap rotations. apex is better than hothead at everything, so yes its worth less points

The archetype is fantastic, but the perks are awful.
We need another entry in the archetype.
Edit: I think you're being way too harsh on the archetype. The horizontal burst is only bad on wizard enemies and is viable in the same ranges as rapid fires.
The frame vs frame damage of the archetype is one of the best as well.
It charges fast and hits like a truck and fires all bolts at once to start charging again sooner.
We need a perk pool refresh on the thing. If it got a roll like rewind/controlled(or reservoir) it would instantly shoot up to A or S tier.
Also. Id personally swap nox with loaded question. Eremite completely invalidates loaded questions existance by being easier to get, enhancable, and a better singe. Nox however is the only choice for damage in the kinetix slot.
Loaded has better perk diversity but lacks craftable + solar, it scored lower than Eremite for a reason but I don't think it deserves a tier drop for essentially being the same fusion but Arc
Coriolis is definitely undeserving of a tier change from any quantitative perspective, the archetype isn't what dropped most of its points just so we're clear

Coriolis should definitely stay where it is (I'd move it above main ingredient, but that's a personal choice) The perk pool is just terrible.
I just wish that you'd go a little more into the archetype itself not being the problem. Everyone always blames the archetype and when I say that I wish we'd get another aggressive frame fusion it's always met with a "Coriolis force sucks. So we shouldn't get another.
People blame the archetype when the perk pool is the issue. Aggressives never even had a chance and I think that's a damn shame.

I'm wondering if rapid fire deserves a higher score just for the archetype. I was surprised to see cartesian still have noticeably higher usage than eremite, according to the destiny tracker.
I guess faster charge time really does make a difference in gameplay experience.

All the scalars got converted to the same number (and that number is like ~4000 a tick on Templar it sucks)
