To my ears the DJI had a lot more crisp high end and therefore better clarity. I love to hear a video with the levels on both these normalised to make it a proper comparison. Is there any EQ control on either of the mic systems?

Good review and comparison video Darren. You did not mention that the Anker transmitter had a back up recording as the DJI mic has.

Dji mic not so loud both good though, great quality off the phone, I would definitely save some money and buy the anker one as to me it sounds louder and so much clearer great review 👍

both great, id say get whichever is the best for you. The DJI one is slighly more expensive but if your in the DJI ecosystem it makes sense to have as it works really well when connected to say the action 3 etc

While I was watching the outdoor portion, I thought of something that gives me this question to you: when you were comparing indoors the AnkerWork to the DJI Mic at level 6, was the noise reduction on for the DJI? The quality was nice, but it sounded much lower than the AnkerWork. But I can see uses for both. Thanks for the review
noise reduction was off indoors on both, , I notice on the DJI you have to have the gain quiet high or have it closer to you
@@DMProductions OK, thanks for clarifying. So here's where I can see great uses for both: DJI's mic seems to have a higher "studio" like quality, like a mic in a soundproof booth; whereas AnkerWork's mic will work to capture sound in a "boost" type fashion, where it is just as crisp and clear as DJI, but more powerful as far as sound and sound levels. Again, thanks for the video, I'm glad to see all of the tools that are out here
I tested lot of these new wireless systems and got DJI Mic in the end, wins hands down. Looking forward to the DJI Mic 2 which will have internal 32bit float recording (i hope 😉)

Both companies make decent quality products so i'm not surprised the Anker Works is good. Interesting to hear the DJI one is quite low gain though. I have the DJI and think it can be a little bit quiet at times, but overall impressed.
Will anyone come up with a waterproof version I wonder?

@DMProductions that is the one thing that scares me with nice mics, we are always on the water and struggling with audio, a watersports or active mic would be amazing
Is it Anker as in Anker that make power bricks, cables and speakers etc? I know their headphones are called Sound Core.
Can gain be adjusted on the receiver as well like it can on the DJI? I feel as though something odd is going on here, as I have the DJI mics and linked to the DJI action 4 plus 6 on the mic gain would be too hot and peak.
How does the Anker Works compare to the Rode Go 2 system?

yea, especially since more general audiences think louder = better which especially in this comparison really isn't the case. The DJI sounds way better.
The DJI sounds a lot better, just a bit quiet in comparison.

I like the sound of the DJI better. Anker isn't bad, but DJI just sounds superior to me.

I would assume so, as you have a custom affiliate link going directly to Anker's site, a coupon for a discount, and have used Anker's corporate hashtags in your post, all of which strongly suggests that this is in fact sponsored content, yet I did not see RUclips's disclosure message that this video included paid promotion. If that is in fact the case as I suspect, you need to disclose that this is sponsored content, as not doing so it highly unethical and potentially illegal. Regardless, the fact that you didn't even disclose that you at minimum didn't pay for the mics, and so are unable to provide an unbiased review, it demonstrates a complete and utter lack of integrity, and so I can no longer trust any of your content and you have lost my subscription as a result. I honestly enjoyed your content up until now, but if I can't trust that whatever you put out isn't just paid shilling for some some company, I can no longer trust anything you say.
