It's been a long time since i watched a whole battlereport without skipping, great work keeping down the "small dice" and only showing the important rolls. I would pay to see that fight in CGI, epic pew pew.
Ferocious! I loved this battle report. I can never get over how well you tell the story yet play a competitive and brutal game. Well done Winters and thanks for the game!
Epic game! love the apoc games, they take a lot of time, but they are so worth it :) couple of rule corrections: - with the latest main rulebook FAQ you have to declare all targets of the superheavy vehicles and gargantuan creatures before resolving any of them - at 31:40 when firing at the squadron of vehicles the hits scored are carried over to the rest of the unit as for normal units. So there was a possibility that all 3 dunecrawlers would be dead - the D weapons result of 2-5 causes a penetrating hit that deals D3 hull points of damage. You resolved the D3 but forgot about rolling on the vehicle damage table
That... was... *awesome*. Even though I was rooting for the Imperium, there's no denying seeing those Wraithguard just totally melt that Terminator squad early on in the battle was viciously impressive.
Ive been going back and watch all of your batreps since I found your channel. Love your content winter! I wish I lived on that side of the pond I would love to come in and face you sir!
I might be mistaken, but I think D weapons still can cause penetrating hits. Shouldn't you still be able to roll on the vehicle damage table? Otherwise they could be quite a bit worse than normal heavy weapons unless you roll the allmighty 6...
So I just went on battlescribe to find out how much wraithknights actually cost points wise and WHAT THE HELL. THEY ARE SO UNDER-COSTED. WTF. Great bat-rep as always winters ol chap, can't wait to see the Garro and the 13th take some sweet vengeance out on xenos in the future!
Oh man that Reaver Titan is simply a work of art. It's a shame you never really get a table big enough to actually make Titan gameplay realistic though.
It’s easy, me and my friends just took four 4”x”6 realms of battle tables put them on the floor and had small pathway between each table, we would play 10-15k points a side 2v2. Good times.
Originally you couldn't. the 4th ed apoc rules stated psychic powers (excepting direct damage powers) simply didn't work on super heavies and gargantuans. Invisibility as a power is fine if cast on 'normal' units. Its when it gets used on death stars, super heavies etc that it gets way out of balance.
I skipped to the end. Doesn't look like it made a difference. Appears they got trounced When elder request to 2 titans from the opposition for some reason Star wars comes to mind... "Its a trap!"
awsome game winters, truly awsome, im thinking you could have done with a little more navy on this one, i think your fire raptor would of been a big help here, perhaps some avenger strike fighters from the forge? bolt cannons make short work of well... wraith anything good old ap3
I'm pretty new to the 40k tabletop and I got the dark imperium starter kit, are there any other starting factions that would help me understand the game better as well as being a good and balanced faction? I started thinking about ad mech and got an onager and it turns out it's quite powerful so would ad mech be a good faction to use?
I thought you'd take it when the warhound lasted for so long and you still had the untouched reaver, but those two sixes turned the game. Anyway, thanks for the report. Great stuff!
You should place those d-blasts on council, touching invisible titan as invisibility doesn't prevent you from targeting unit next to invisible one and hit it as well as the targeted unit
The're painted in the scheme of "Altansar". They are a faction of Eldar who spent aeons trapped in the eye of terror. After escaping they are viewed with suspicion from other eldar because they survived so long in the warp.
I just saw the other (newer) video with Fear the Darkness and Dying of the Light (nice names btw!), but they were very different (no templates) and i think stronger, right? How do you evaluate them and the Aeldari titans? They are like several tanks in one, which is great as losing part of your wounds doesn't cost part of firepower. But the downside is, if you don't kill your points worth before biting the dust, that leaves the enemy with serious extra power. I think you need both a bigger table and more points to make a battle more balanced with both of them. If you want to field em more often, you could agree to have them damaged at the start, with no movement and one gun not working below half wounds. With techmarines repairing them it could be a unit and an objective at the same time. Do Aeldari have technicians or can psykers repair vehicles?
Thank you thank you thank you! I could kiss you right now Winters- truly brightened up a manky, depressing day of hiding on the sofa fighting off space lurgy!!
Great batrep winters. You did really well to do as much damage as you did. Only one little mistake(Or more likely oversight) Regarding the D-weapons. It's not just the D3 Hps when you do that, you still have to roll on the vehicle damage table as it's still classed as a penetrating hit.(So you can still stand a chance of blowing it up) Probably wouldn't have helped. Blame it on grandfather nurgle sicking his space lurgy on you.lol
Awesome bat rep man ! The titan appearance on T3 was a great idea to get some scale on the battle :) If you have any chance to get a new kind of titan I'd be quite happy to get some feedbacks on how to build it smoothly, they are quite impressive for newcomers and it's quite hard to realy know when you are ready to start with these bad boys.
First time viewer, and I like what I'm seeing. One thing I'd like to see is mooooody lighting, so at night and with some red lighting, if possible or blue or something like that, just though I'd suggest.
This seems like the perfect game for Alpha Legion. Stagger reserves? Chosen, Chaos Space Marine, and cultists have infiltrate. Slay the warlord? Many Heads of the Hydra, warlords can be replaced.
Awesome batrep as always. Getting addicted :) Just one thing though. If I'm not mistaken you have to declare all shots and where they'll go before rolling them. So the move at 31 minutes of blowing up the Warhound and then shooting at the onagers with the remaining weapons would not be possible unless you stated what was gonna shot what before rolling dice. Am I mistaken here? Just an appreciation.
In no way should a 250pt wraith knight pose a threat versus a titan like that. Elder are really ridiculous aren't they? Edit: then again, Haywire, knights and melt can pose a threat like that so maybe I should stop wearing my cog-shaped glasses
Acid Nine A wraithknight can pose a threat to a titan, sure, but pound for pound they cant hold their own. They become huge targets, mine rarely last past turn 3. On one occasion I've seen a Reaver Titan layed low by a squad of Fire Dragons.
Acid Nine By that logic, a Titan would be an auto-win button since nothing costing less "should pose a threat" to them. It would be far more ridiculous to have to field a Titan in every game just to counter your opponent's Titan than it would to make them vulnerable to smaller targets. Particularly given that some of those smaller targets are specifically geared towards killing big things like the Titans.
It is standard 'modern' warfare in a nutshell. Big things can cause horrendous damage only if they are allowed to. There should be nothing that a tiny specialised elite squad of suicidal infantry can't bring down (you go Fire Dragons!), let alone a screwy giant-mech-thing like a wraithknight armed with literal Hell-cannons.
i would like to point out if you were using the red book titan rules for the revenant aswell, the cant be targeted by psychic powers other than witchfire powers includes blessings so you cant have an invisible revenant, apart from this, great battle report, love seeing these big games, makes me want to finish up my salamanders and field them with my Reaver :)
David Przytula. "the titan is completely immune to......psychic attacks other than witchfire powers" which means it is eligible to be targeted by blessings as blessings are not a psychic attack
Ahh, ok, at my local store we have played it that way as we assumed it to be a bit harsh having an invisible titan, but yeah sorry, reading over it again, it makes sence, thanks Look forward to seeing more games like this, always love it when superheavys come out to play :)
Awesome game never had a titan seen playing on a map i play eldar myself started with marines but thyr weakness is lack on movement. Eldar have so many specialised units most quick or do pack a punsh in meele or ranged combat. I like the serpend chassis and vipers transports 6 units good armament and very agile can turn most any game
holey shit balls. wow. what a battle. I knew you'd have it tough. played a revenant on the channel before and it's brutal. but I thought. reaver. warhound. You'll be fine. that was an absolute mess of a game. but loved every second. amazing stuff as always.
I don't think that wraith-knight with the double D should have gotten a cover save from the War-hound titan. Q: Some pieces of terrain (woods, ruins, craters, etc.) provide a cover save to a models even if they are not 25% obscured. Does this really include large models like Monstrous Creatures? A: No. Just like Vehicles, Monstrous Creatures and Gargantuan Creatures are not obscured simply for being inside terrain such as woods or ruins
terminators really need to have 2 wounds for that cost, they are waaay to expensive and not that usefull....my friends who play Marines no longer field them bc they are too easy to take down with all the new ap2 weapons
I might be the only one but every time you said there are so many D's on table I kept thinking about dicks and it kept getting funnier as the match went on. everytime you said it I could not stop laughing.
I don't think the Eldar really do planetary invasions, how about this: There is a craftworld caught in between both a Waaagh and a Forgeworld. Obviously the Eldar are unhappy with this state of being as a bunch of primitives are going to be beating each other to death on their grandmothers door step if attention cannot be diverted. Fortunately the local Farseer has seen that if they knock out one particular section of the shields on the human world the Waaagh will manage to gain enough traction to draw the majority of the Orks in system. This, despite the horrific human cost of allowing the orks to develop into a full on Waaagh on the world, will allow the craftworld to slip through relatively unmolested. Remember the Eldar may be assholes without compare but they don't have much in the way of people left. It is much more likely that an operation is initiated with the goal of having other aliens come and deal with their problem for them.
Great battle! Very epic! Aren´t d hits inflicting an automatic pen in adition to the hullpoints? You have either missed or didn´t mentioned it sometimes. Oh and by the way there are new rules for the revenant titan in Imperial Armour: The Doom of Mymeara, as you can see here: ruclips.net/video/yVUlrcVf1Ec/видео.html from min 25:00 onwards.
Seeing those two giants on the table at the same time was really something special. Thanks winters... really cool.
Art Wagner. We thought so. Thank you mate
It's been a long time since i watched a whole battlereport without skipping,
great work keeping down the "small dice" and only showing the important rolls.
I would pay to see that fight in CGI, epic pew pew.
love the "haters gonna hate" pose on one of the wraith knight
Ferocious! I loved this battle report. I can never get over how well you tell the story yet play a competitive and brutal game. Well done Winters and thanks for the game!
Never expected both Titans to be destroyed in one battle, that Revenant Titan is pretty damn impressive.
Epic game! love the apoc games, they take a lot of time, but they are so worth it :)
couple of rule corrections:

Great battle!!! It's good to see some titans on the battlefield, too often they just sit on the shelf and collect dust! Love it!!!!!
Another top notch BatRep. Best on the Net. Thanks for making my day again.
Ive been going back and watch all of your batreps since I found your channel. Love your content winter! I wish I lived on that side of the pond I would love to come in and face you sir!
These days you couldn't even bring the 2 titans in a 5k list
The most entertaining Reports on RUclips!
Beautiful Armies, nice story!
Just keep it up :)
Phillip Macht. Thank you mate. Appreciate it.
Excellent commentary and a great battle. Subbed.
That was one awesome battle report --thanks for that!
Great video. I'm just getting into Warhammer tabletop games and this was really fun to watch. Good narration.
I love your batreps and this was incredible, I need more lots more. Fingers crossed for more mechanicum apocalypse.
Oh man that Reaver Titan is simply a work of art. It's a shame you never really get a table big enough to actually make Titan gameplay realistic though.
Especially with eldar titans dancing and jumping all over the place!
just use the floor :)
GODDAMN PANZIES!
LittleMikey two 8 by 4 tables
It’s easy, me and my friends just took four 4”x”6 realms of battle tables put them on the floor and had small pathway between each table, we would play 10-15k points a side 2v2. Good times.
This is honestly the best battle report I’ve seen. Mostly due to the setting and narrator
Exciting battle gentlemen; thanks for posting!
what kind of person casts "invisibility" on a TITAN! .......lol
T Bunce CREEEEEEED

Invisibility as a power is fine if cast on 'normal' units. Its when it gets used on death stars, super heavies etc that it gets way out of balance.
I skipped to the end. Doesn't look like it made a difference. Appears they got trounced
When elder request to 2 titans from the opposition for some reason Star wars comes to mind... "Its a trap!"
you can't use psychic powers without a strength value on lords of war.
how to deal with invisible units. Close combat and hatred
aww the perfect way to start a lazy sunday morning. thank you winters! great game as usual. they keep getting better and better. praise the omnissiah!
I like youre report and detail. I now am subscribed. thanks.
An impressive battle report - Thanks a lot!
Stefan R. No problem
first battlereport of yours I watched. Great work. enjoyed it very much. great expressions in your voicing.
u got a sub sir!
Great to see the God Machines in action. And well done for picking up a Xeno's fight :)
awsome game winters, truly awsome, im thinking you could have done with a little more navy on this one, i think your fire raptor would of been a big help here, perhaps some avenger strike fighters from the forge? bolt cannons make short work of well... wraith anything good old ap3
Great batrep and a special treat with all of those titans!
Great camera work and narration, very enjoyable watch!
Great game sir. Lovely painted armies, and board. Keep up the good work.
winters, u know how to make one hell of a good game. keep it up!
SuperGreentears. Thank you sir
Holy shit what an epic fight. And I DID NOT expect that outcome.
Joscha Teichmann. Glad you liked it. Music selection is listed in the end credits.
Amazing commentary though! I enjoyed this much more than other batreps for that alone!
Such excellent narration.
"i still have my saves to roll
aaaaaaaaaaaand they're gone"
The revenant titans rules are in the doom of Mymeria second edition. 18:10
those dice rolls though where rough. Best line "Did you like that Tom? Did you?"
Just when I ran out of batreps to watch....thanks Winters!
I'm pretty new to the 40k tabletop and I got the dark imperium starter kit, are there any other starting factions that would help me understand the game better as well as being a good and balanced faction? I like the red and black color scheme for the Eldar. Nice job.
The're painted in the scheme of "Altansar". They are a faction of Eldar who spent aeons trapped in the eye of terror. After escaping they are viewed with suspicion from other eldar because they survived so long in the warp.

Thank you thank you thank you! I could kiss you right now Winters- truly brightened up a manky, depressing day of hiding on the sofa fighting off space lurgy!!
Matt Davidson. I too have been touched by Grandfather Nurgle.
Get well soon!
Lol
haha :D
he touched me right in the feels
Hey, why didn't you clip invisible eldar titan while shooting warolcks?
Because you can only snap shoot at invisible targets, you can't hit them with blasts or templates ;)
you can target something that is visible (warlocks) and still clip invisible unit (titan) since it is not a target.
Łukasz Krokos because you can't hit invisible targets, zooming flyers or swooping monsters with templates or blasts
you cant target invisible unit by blast but if it scatters unit will be affected. Page 16 in GW faq.
Great batrep winters. You did really well to do as much damage as you did. Only one little mistake(Or more likely oversight) Regarding the D-weapons. How does the gameplay differ between Apocalypse and "standart" rules. If there is something like a difference?!
Titans and scale, my friend. Titans and scale.
Awesome bat rep man ! The titan appearance on T3 was a great idea to get some scale on the battle :)
If you have any chance to get a new kind of titan I'd be quite happy to get some feedbacks on how to build it smoothly, they are quite impressive for newcomers and it's quite hard to realy know when you are ready to start with these bad boys.

"Do you like that?"
"No, no I don't.".
Currently purging my weak flesh, this helped my fight
You should show the deployment, along with questions for your opponents (see if they're excited and get their face on camera), at the beginning.
This seems like the perfect game for Alpha Legion. Stagger reserves? Chosen, Chaos Space Marine, and cultists have infiltrate. Slay the warlord? Many Heads of the Hydra, warlords can be replaced.
I would like to know the cost of the armies being used.
Catching up on old videos - I much prefer this presentation over mass dice rolling videos.
awesome set up.. love the paint work.. cant wait for dawn of war 3
Great stuff .. but i do think 6x4 tables are way to small for bigger games.
Awesome never seen Eldar titans in action this should be cool
31:35 the dice sounded like a button on minecraft lol
Nice battle report. You should use the new rules for revenant titan frpm Doom of Myamera second edition
Is there a difference between that book and the warhammer apocalypse book? Is one 'old' or is it alternative rules?
In Doom of M there are new rules for all eldar superheavies
Great Idea for a game! nice one!
Damn, that Revenant did work!
do you ever play solo.
excellent sir!
Awesome batrep as always. Getting addicted :)
Just one thing though.
Seathal. You are correct. This batrep was filmed before the FAQ was finalised and clarified this.
No worries, I also did that mistake some months ago. Keep making awesome batreps :)
In no way should a 250pt wraith knight pose a threat versus a titan like that. Elder are really ridiculous aren't they?

Acid Nine and you can kill wraith knights with radium weapons :p
Maybe a Techmarine Winters? +1 for repairs because of Iron Hands trait ;-).
Absolutely amazing game my friend :) :)
isn't the battlefield rather small for multiple Titans?
I dont like the revenant titan model like that, it looks like its skipping/ dancing on to the battlefield, although a titan with a jet pack is awesome
its made to be agile and to do that HardcoreParkour®
isac sandberg a titan doing parkur is some insane anami shit
Daniel rogers yes, yes it is
Good game, sad outcome.
Beautiful as always.
i would like to point out if you were using the red book titan rules for the revenant aswell, the cant be targeted by psychic powers other than witchfire powers includes blessings so you cant have an invisible revenant, apart from this, great battle report, love seeing these big games, makes me want to finish up my salamanders and field them with my Reaver :)

I used to have eldar painted in that exact same scheme, sold them on ebay last year.
Daniel Forster hell those might be them lol
Awesome game never had a titan seen playing on a map i play eldar myself started with marines but thyr weakness is lack on movement. No!!! so sad! 2 Titans felt! T_T i must admit Titans are my favorit unit. Specialy the Warlord Titan oh so beautiful
Eldar are currently ridiculous in 40K - especially if you give them all Ob Sec! Great game though, you needed your two titans for a good match up!
well all the teck prist you fix the titens ? like see this in UA mod in dawn of war bu good stuff we have hare be fun to do ;;;;;;;]]]
Banshees didnt need to test around the 25 minute mark of the vid, they were next to an Avatar and that makes them fearless.
7:11 For some reason, that Eldar in purple reminds me of Jotaro.
A: No. Just like Vehicles, Monstrous Creatures and Gargantuan Creatures are not obscured simply for being inside terrain such as woods or ruins
great presentation, consider green screen and voice dufq.
terminators really need to have 2 wounds for that cost, they are waaay to expensive and not that usefull....my friends who play Marines no longer field them bc they are too easy to take down with all the new ap2 weapons
100k Views! Good Job Winters!
Hai Its lili. Thank you sir
I feel a reaver titan is a fair bit beyond a revenant. Revenants are more like Warhounds for counterparts.
I might be the only one but every time you said there are so many D's on table I kept thinking about dicks and it kept getting funnier as the match went on. everytime you said it I could not stop laughing.
Rand Al'Thor. Nice
5000 in points, $5,000 in minis! I will give complements on the painting though.
shit just got real.. bring out the big guns! honestly didnt think those space elves had a hope.. pesky eldar.. thanks guys, damn good entertainment
gg the invisibility turn for the titan won the game ^^
D shots also class as pens, so pens should be rolled for
Great commentary and beautiful models! Moar please :)
I don't think the Eldar really do planetary invasions, how about this: There is a craftworld caught in between both a Waaagh and a Forgeworld. your game was funny but i think yout table was a bit to small for a game with titans ;)
silly mon-kay, trying to fight eldar, very fun to watch.
The eldar look to be fair and balanced...
BaronVonKhaos the glassiest of the glass cannons. Amazing weapons wielded by guard equivilents
They still get boddied by Tau and Necrons
Great battle! Very epic! Aren´t d hits inflicting an automatic pen in adition to the hullpoints? You have either missed or didn´t mentioned it sometimes. Oh and by the way there are new rules for the revenant titan in Imperial Armour: The Doom of Mymeara, as you can see here: ruclips.net/video/yVUlrcVf1Ec/видео.html from min 25:00 onwards.
Good one for my Eldar brothers!
I love titans, I want to get a Chaos Reaver so my Chaos Warhound has a friend lol.
