I agree george michael was great👍... but I don't know why, I just keep falling for the original version of this song, although this one is so beautiful... maybe it's just that since BG actually wrote the song, the emotions are a bit more...well, let's call it "real"

GM keep the original sound and didn´t change anything of the music and just sing this song with a great and powerful voice ! I agree with you all both are fantastic at this ballad but I must admit g michael is better at it live as boy George tends argue a lot on stage with his keyboard player for being to overpowering & then he tends to get a little irate at times on stage which I think puts a bit of an atmosphere of tension among certain people but apart from that both are great singer songwriters & performers nobody can take that away from these guys!

George's live versions are better because he is doing what I wish Boy George would do: play it at a slower tempo. The studio version is perfect, but live this song needs to be played a lot slower.

You're correct, comparing this live amateur recorded version to CC's studio version, this isn't as good. But, I just listened to a similar quality version of Boy live & GM is far better! Boy was always known as a studio artist (and one of the BEST ever, which is an honor regardless!), but George live is sublime. I have seen him & his voice is pure & powerful.
