Till the ToyGalaxy video on Mantech I thought I was the only weirdo, I mean person, who remembered them. I would describe it to friends and they'd all look at me like I'm out of my mind.
I got choked up on the Diacon segment when you mentioned that last opener had come out before Return of the Jedi and I realized just how long I've been alive. :D
I so LOVE THIS EPISODE. AND im not saying that because ive im an 80's kid and have had too much adult beverages this evening, lol! Seriously, mission accomplished. The alcohol helped but you drew me back into the nostalgia of the '80s with this episode. I totally forgot about Battle beyond the Stars. Once I googled that movie I totally zoned out. I'm going to have to get a clean copy of that. McDonald's references and everything we're freaking awesome, I really enjoy your content. Thank you.
I watch this and many of your shows in a podcast style. I listen while I work. I just had to look up to see the B-roll while you were talking about the hateful collection off people who were using MacTonight to spread their bitter opinions. A kitten and a chick....Perfection.
Funny as much as I love references to all these old shows and toys I grew up with, the thing that prompted me to comment is Dan’s use of the phrase “play guns” which was an actual thing, my cousin and I played it all the time, and I am both grateful and privileged to still be breathing. How dumb were we (American society) for that to have been a thing? It was fun but so dumb.
I've actually seen a VHS of the Original Ghost Busters Live-Action. On a shelf. In a little store where tweekers would hang out. In a crappy little town.
1:45:52 - you said Tokataku was a toy brand...uhhhhhh I think you meant Takatoku, the original makers of the 1/55 Valkyries we all love. (Realizing now that this is a compilation video, so other people probably already corrected you on this in the original uploaded video.)
can anyone help me identify this line of toys.. they were very similar to Remco Mantech but in the early 2000s. I probably purchased them at KB Toys.. same concept as Mantech but remember they had the special screw in the back instead of the front and each one came with this special Alan-wrench like tool to remove parts. And i remember specifically some of them used some really hard metals lol.
Oh god... I remember my little sister absolutely LOVING Turbo Teen, and how much I absolutely HATED it. This was hands down one of the dumbest shows I ever saw back then, and I've watched a LOT of BAD TV shows. This show STILL ranks at the top of my "Most hated dumb show" list. I used to absolutely fight my sister for the TV whenever this stupid show came on. As a kid, I refused to accept the premise BECAUSE those important questions weren't addressed about this kid's powers. The way he turned into a car was super dumb. The questions surrounding his transformation, unanswered or dumb. The show was WAY too stupid for me as a kid. To me, it seemed like one of those shows that was quickly tossed together, and not even thought about because, "Kids will watch anything." and what it really said was, "Kids are really dumb and we're pandering to the dumbest audience.". To this day, this is one of the shows that makes me feel that kids deserve better. Better and more consistent writing. Better characters. Better thought and effort put into stuff made for them. Kids are a LOT smarter than so many adults making TV shows give them credit for being.
It's Mantech. It's always Mantech.

So glad to be born in the 80s.
Really liking this trend of my favorite content creators putting together marathon eps.

Your videos are helping me during a hard time, thank you.
💀 not his ass turning incredibly wide to become the bumper 🤣
Brings new meaning to “junk in the trunk”
The fact there is not a version of the Turbo Teen into with the Knight Rider theme playing on top of it is a crime against humanity.

Born in 1968, I honestly believe, I got to see the coolest of cartoons and toys.

Perfect Stuff dude! ❤😊❤😊❤
I'm always thankful that I was a kid in the 80s and a teen in the 90s. Best times ever
wow, that was awesome. thank you
Love this!
Turbo Teen was my favorite when I was 5. I always liked the toothbrush with wheels on that brush your teeth animated psa.
Turbo Teen was also the inspiration for the song Night Call. The intro theme to the movie Drive, with Ryan Gosling.
Drinking a Sunkist Grape soda and a Fanta Orange soda...while watching this video!
don't mix them, you'll explode!!!
"Double-fisted" is what we called it
I miss the animatronic Mac SO BAD 😭 they put up a statue version but it’s not anything near as cool 😢
I was just speaking with another gen xer at work about this show the other day. Such a weird show.
Obey, consume, submit, no thought, death wish 4, make hot poopies!
Huh... I don't know what just came over me.
As a kid the 80s were great.
Dude, the jokes for Turbo Teen were honestly amazing, I just sent this video to my girl.
If she doesn't laugh we are done.
👀🤨
Mac tonight is the only version of Mack the Knife to which I know the words.
Wahey! 😊❤😊❤😊❤
1:01:29 I actually had a Big Mac tonight before starting to watch this video!
The Beauty , Brilliance and transcendence of cheese!

None of you fools will ever be as cool as Mac Tonight shout-singing "Dinner!"

How do I request an episode on The Wonderful Wizard of Oz anime (1986-1987) ?
I'm gonna say what we are all thinking. Old Dan is hotter than Young Dan, Bearded Dan Hotter than No Beard Dan.
Anyone know if there was ever a TMNT spin-off in which they weren't ninjas? Like, one in which they did kung fu or boxing or just street brawlers??
Dan I haven't looked up the whole time the show was runing 31:59 when I did I was like wow my boy. You know what I'm talking about . Lol your my boi.
I distinctly have room memories of the show... Lol.. I watched it a lot I was still drooling Give me a break (turbo teen)
Its Mantech!
Second

Was Turbo Teen a stick shift?
Mac Tonight looks more like Ray Charles or Stevie Wonder

Turbo Teen was ok different
“It was acceptable in the ‘80s. It was acceptable at the time…”
Who are these Bobby Darin fans ?
Ford Kaufka hahahaha
Marketing cool is the worst!
Modern culture is a blight upon humanity.
