Heat gun, hex key set, hammers. It requires a little more effort than shown. I had it loosen up for the video. Heat at 300°C about 2-4 minutes.

Thanks..I successfully melt the crank
I'd been trying for ages to remove my Crank after the threads stripped. I tried a 3 arm puller, which managed to snap parts of the crank off rather than remove the crank, once getting better purchase the puller ground away on the central piece rather than removing the crank, needless to say it was pretty well stuck.
I used 350°C directed at the crank arm from a surface mount heat gun for about 3-4 minutes. 2 firm whacks with a hammer later (whilst wearing eye protection) and it just popped off! Thanks for the tip! Much appreciated!
Really appreciate your video , save my money to buy the tool. I used a lighter ( BBQ lighter) to heat it for about 3 minutes, and took it off, thank you buddy!

I finally managed to remove one of my cranks almost in the same way. The threads were stripped so I couldn't use a standard puller. A three inch two jaw external puller seemed to almost work, but in the end it continued to slip and I broke a spanner triying to tighten it. I've heated for a couple of minutes the head of the crank, then hammered it with a rubber head hammer. At first the crank only moved half a millimiter, I repeated the process three o four other times and eventually it came out.
Nice. Im at the point where I need to put a new crankset on. Doesnt get mjch easier than this. Going to try it today. I subscribed.

but I do have a quality torch lighter how hot should i apply to arm so it will easily pop out like you demonstrated so easily in this video? my name Eddie I'm from , HowCome California , population 5. 4 cats and myself

I'm at the point of torching mine its so stuck! Crank puller stripped out the threads.

Yes but when you turn the heat off the metal starts to contract and the two parts that are seized together will come apart.

Never ever hit a hammer on a hammer a guy did that at work ones and it hit him in the eye and if u know what the I side of an eye looks like you'll know why I write this comment. He's ok now after 2 days in the hospital plus follow ups. But he has a false eye now and that was his dominant eye. So yeah. I'd be pissed cuz then I can't hit a deer no more
Sir, you are absolutely right! The surface of the hammer is hardened, so when you hit hammer on hammer and unfortunely it breaks, it can send a projectile up to almost speed of sound. Important comment right there, thank you.
