I was strangled in my sleep by my husband 3 years ago. Lost all feeling in my upper body and somehow used my legs to push him off. Evidently there we’re thumb bruises on my trachea and the judge here in CT fast tracked it to a felony but he still had it dropped after doing a freaking 8 week “class”. I was lucky enough to divorce him immediately. I will never have the same tone of voice again and the facts the police taught me are horrifying. There will be another victim and I hate living with that.

You didn't lose consciousness? I was out within seconds, also, in my sleep, but woke and tried to pull his hands away. Woke the next day.

I enjoyed the video. There was a lot of valuable information. I think its a great idea for all states to jump aboard this ship and make domestic violence strangulation a felony. I wish everyone love and peace in their relationships. If either of the 2 qualities are absent consider seeking counseling.

My life has been totally damaged in so many ways and then abused, and not just by my abuser!!! Please help me learn and peruse these unjust actions by people who are employed to help the victims of these situations, its wrong foul and they mid as well of been the one doing it.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), has been shown to help with brain injuries of many types.
TBI, Cerebral Palsy, Near Drownings are a few examples of conditions that have improved after (HBOT).

Strangulation when under the influence is when someone you love turns into a monster or your worst nightmare. In most cases you need to RUN AND DONT LOOK BACK. Now In juxtaposed it is my belief that most of fatal strangulations caused by passion can be prevented. Take a look at our innocent children you and me, that’s something everyone has in common, we all become products of our own environment. Children in grade school even sooner show sign of hostility, retaliation and aggression. When these traits become perceptible thats when a form of mental help courses should be readily available. In my opinion Instantaneous and mandatory, (do not pass go, do not collect $200).
It should not be perceived any sort of punishment or handicap, but as tools for meditation and inner happiness, tranquility. It should be the standard so much so that parents don’t have to give permission for their child to participate in courses of Study, perhaps with coping mechanisms, tools to calm or sooth, or learning simply about cause and affect. If you jump in front of a hungry hungry hippo, there’s a good chance it’s going to eat you….
Also I believe Parents should be involved and held accountable for receiving the same course of study.
I’m glad I rabbit holed my way here, it’s unreal how relevant this vid is to me right now, and how strongly I feel Americans need to focus on mental health before it too late, yeah?

    @ 1:13:50
"...assume strangulation has happened until it is ruled out."
In doing this, the accused is arrested and deprived of their liberty and freedom. While arrested they are unable to be meet their responsibilities like be present for work therefore losing their job. Once bond is set, the accuser 9/10 would have to seek services through a bondsman where they pay 10% of the bond amount. This expense is not reimbursed. Not to mention attorney fees etc. Now after all of this damage, the state shrugs its shoulders at the accused once strangulation is ruled out.
I say all that to ask, why isn't remaining impartial until the evidence shows strangulation has occurred a better idea?

    LMAO @ 13:00
"...so there's a connection with domestic violence strangulation & mass murder and the murder of police officers..."
    "Yeah I know"🤣
So the speaker gives 2 examples where mass murderers had history of strangulation and then she took this huge leap and jumped to that conclusion and stated it like it was fact. She's here holding a seminar amongst all these open minds and not even 15mins into it, she's misleading and giving them false information.
There is no real correlation between the 2.
That proves to be nothing more than a coincidence until solid facts are brought forward to show a correlation between strangulation assaults and mass murders.
