Everyone is right about them getting more radio play if they were to stick to country music, but that's not what they're aiming for. They bought themselves OUT of a major label (Interscope/Mercury Nashville) contract so they could move towards where they felt their art was pulling them. That's a REALLY big deal.
They've said multiple times that they felt like they were compromising on music they didn't want to do because it was looked at as "mainstream and sellable." They just want to express how they feel through the music they find interesting, which this is.
This is not some "pop" crossover. They crafted every single part of this music with a mix of modern and vintage technology that they can play live. They have said that they never want to just play to a track. They want to feel the music.
People have to remember that these are three young siblings who are growing up and trying new things. Just because you transition to pop, doesn't mean you are no longer an artist or that you've "sold out." Really listen to this music. The lyrics of every song on COORDINATES are just as, if not more, poignant than ever.

What happened to these guys? I thought they were going back to country or at least balancing it.
Something about this seems off. I have been a fan but the new music direction these guys have gone in, I personally have not been a fan, but I respect and understand those that do like it.

So proud you were brave enough to go where you felt led into this genre. I love all genres of music. I think County is where I appreciate your vocals the most, sometimes the electronic overlays hide your naturally beautiful voice. Many singers do not have such strong vocals and need the boost from the electronic aids, but yours needs no assistance.

Band Perry Pioneer.
Great album. I understand you want to evolve and stuff but the new songs are really off. It's badly produced and the songs lack something. It sounds like the Perry's don't believe in it themselves. They seem desperate in finding their footing and the new songs fail miserably.

I have been a brazilian fan of you since 2010 and I am deeply disappointed by this new album. I believe there comes a point in the artist's life that he wants to change, but this .... Well, that was far below the musical quality of you. I don't know what the hell happened to change like this, I just wanted my country band back :(
