Always amazing watching you Ryu. I remember this game from my childhood and I have beaten it. Not exactly the hardest game in the world. Now if you have it set on a higher difficulty, which I am not sure what you had it set on, then yes this game is incredibly difficult. Not to say there aren't difficult parts in this game even on easy, though those are more trying and grate at your nerves more then anything else. Keep up the amazing content and might I suggest Hudson's Adventure Island for the Nes or even the original Metroid, both games gave me trouble growing up and I never did beat them.

I'm having PTSD flashbacks! I used to think it was my child level skills and lack of patience that made this game hard back in the day but it is truly relentless even now

I got super star wars as a kid and liked it and had to beat it because it was Star Wars. I played this thing as an adult and hated it! Waaaay more fun watching you play it.
This is my favorite ryukahr video for so many reasons.
This is one of the few hardest games ever that I have beaten. I had no idea how "hard" it was as a kid, but I beat it. I may have spent an extraordinary amount of time playing it, but I beat it. Wish I could beat any of the other 'hardest' games ever...
Still have my SNES copy of this from when I was a kid. Great game.

If I remember right that was probably closer to a third of the way through the game. I remember playing the heck out of this game when I was a kid although I dont recall it being that hard. Then agian I also remember the graphics looking amazing so the nostalgia glasses must be working.
secrets to this game
1. get the blaster upgrade "Seeker" and stop
2. use thermal detonator s you get them
3. Don't skip out on grabbing force powers
4. pick up health upgrades
5. Use cheat codes. Cheats come in two forms passwords and D-Pad entry at the start menu
6. While your sword is stronger it has limited range So use both weapons as needed
7 Farm Health
if you Try Super Star Wars you won't have Force powers and you get the sword half way threw. In Super Return of the Jedi you start with all force powers and in Star Wars NES while you can beat the game as JUST Luke you will get screwed over if you don't side quest for R2, Ben, the light saber, Han , Shield upgrades, blaster upgrades, and The Princess.
and then there's Shadows of the Empire , Rouge Squad, Jedi Knight, and Battle Front as well.

Oh wow I loved this game as a kid! The 3d sections blew my little mind. I wouldn't have thought it as particularly hard though, especially compared to other games you've played.

Actually pretty easy game if you kill all the stuff on screen and get all the power ups. Every enemy can be farmed

Are your fans all super young? I played this growing up. It isn't nearly as unfair as you may think. It assumes you played its predecessor, Super Star Wars, as the difficulty ramps up from where that game left off, and it doesn't teach you how to play again. These games were very well received in their time. They just haven't aged particularly well. Super Return of the Jedi, however, is a major improvement from the other two, and still holds up fairly well today. When I went back to all 3, Return was the best one by far. Each one improves from the previous, honestly.
Beautifull game. Took me a long time to end. You are still in the beginning actually.
