It had too, Sadly REAL life got in the way and the Actors got old. Ten years is a long time when you start the series at 47 years old (Richard dean anderson). Dude is 72 now.
@@ElectronicPleasure It could've been done easily, older cast get promoted, less active, but still important roles, bring in very good and sympathetic and new characters, bring Jonas back, build a team around him, Haley, etc. O'Neill's younger clone, even Rya'c, and a ton of new US military characters played by actors who chime very well with the veteran cast, etc. etc. The same way we started liking and then loving the Atlantis cast, even though they weren't SG-1, the same way you could've streched out SG-1 for another solid 6-7 seasons.

I absolutely love this series and all of the cast! They are insane! It's great!! :D I am sure they had a lot of fun doing the episodes. I know I have a lot of fun watching. In fact, I have both my kids hooked on Stargate as well. (I train them right!) :)
R.D Anderson... Minnesota most probably a Swedish (or atleast nordic) immigrant... and he's humor/talent and sense of timing is the best!!! maybe I'm partial as a swede though... I love it! and he and Shanks play really good of each other!
As a rabid of SG1 and all of the caste I am very happy that they had such a bond both on and off the screen. I just wish that the powers that be bring the stargate franchise back with new faces that have new adventures.
I wish I could have been on set with these people. I have watched the series so many times I feel like I know them. I wish stargate universe would have had more than 2 seasons. I want to see what happens in the stargate story
Me too, with Amazon buying MGM I’m allowing myself to hope now that they might even make a movie just to close off SGU and give it the ending it deserves. Even bigger bonus if the movie acts as a whole reunion and characters like Jack, Sam, Daniel, Teal’c etc are part of the team who help bring the Destiny crew home. That would be the dream!!

SyFy appears to have pretty much stopped showing SG1 / SG: Atlantis re - runs, etc lately. I guess it's part of their move to start airing mediocre " reality " shows & series about the unexplained, ufo's, hauntings, alien abductions, & their mediocre ( at best ) made - for - SyFy movies.
Daniel Jackson, the only character to give up being a god 3 times.

it's so sweet to me that christopher judge, amanda tapping, and michael shanks were already getting along with each other before they were casted

He does have some Swedish in him! RDA is of Mohawk, Scottish, Norwegian, Finnish, and Swedish descent.
