Cyril and Methodius, the revered Slavic brothers credited with the creation of the Cyrillic Alphabet, are celebrated figures in history. Their significant contributions have left an indelible mark on Slavic culture and language. Both held esteemed positions during their time and are revered as saints in the Eastern Orthodox tradition, being part of "The Holy Seven Saints." Alongside their disciples, they form a revered group known as the Holy Seven Saints.🌟
The five students of Saints Cyril and Methodius, known as the "Cyrillo-Methodian disciples," were instrumental in the dissemination of Christianity and the Slavic alphabet. They are:
Clement of Ohrid
Naum of Preslav
Angelarius (Angelar)
Gorazd (Gorazd of Prague)
Sava.
This video features artwork of Constantine of Preslav, another esteemed student of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius. Like his mentors, Constantine played a pivotal role in translating liturgies and other important works. His contributions date back to the year 870.⛪✨
