I was Roman Catholic, went through a very rough childhood. Fell into the Occult, wrote an anti bible that basically reinvented and bastardized scripture. I later became an Agnostic Theist, then a Taoist, and finally had the audacity to "invent a new religion" and sadly people liked it and were interestesd in learning more. One of my psychology teachers said i displayed all the makings of a cult leader. Glad I found Brother Nathanael, which allowed me to discover Patriarch Kyrill, which allowed me to discover Anthos, which allowed me to discover Fr. Josiah Trentum, which started me down the path to Orthodoxy. On July 14th of 2024 I will complete my Catecumens and become a full Orthodox. On July 20th of 2024 I will marry the woman I love who chose to become Orthodox with me. Christ is risen! I used to be extremely depressed and had many suicidal thoughts. I even once was a Muslim because I thought that it would help me, but it only made me worse, and when a girl that I liked rejected me, I felt even more alone and depressed. I played with knives and I lightly pressed the blade to my chest to see what it would feel like, but I then remembered 1 Peter 5:7, Cast all your anxieties onto him for he cares for you. I was under a spiritual attack. My family and I have been subjected to witchcraft and attacks from evil spirits for 30 years. First of all, clearly there is a lot of division in Christianity, that is a fact. One can have their own understanding of the matter or preference, but the division in Christianity is a fact, proven, even, by your comment. Even Eastern Orthodoxy itself is divided (Old Believers, Old Calendarists, True Orthodox Church etc.). And those people (from those denominations of Orthodoxy) will say to you exactly the same thing as you are saying right now. They will even blame The Eastern Orthodoxy in almost the same things as The Eastern Orthodoxy blames everyone else. Second, how do you know that The Eastern Orthodoxy is the right one, and not the other way around? Or maybe it is The Oriental Orthodoxy or The Eastern Church (pre-Ephesian churches)? Maybe one of them was and is the only right one church, and the entirety of The Eastern Orthodoxy is heretical and mistaken? There are a lot of theses, hypotheses and points of view you can personally agree or disagree with, and incline towards or follow those you find more convincing for yourself. Josiah Trentum, which started me down the path to Orthodoxy. On July 14th of 2024 I will complete my Catecumens and become a full Orthodox. On July 20th of 2024 I will marry the woman I love who chose to become Orthodox with me. Christ is risen! I even once was a Muslim because I thought that it would help me, but it only made me worse, and when a girl that I liked rejected me, I felt even more alone and depressed. I played with knives and I lightly pressed the blade to my chest to see what it would feel like, but I then remembered 1 Peter 5:7, Cast all your anxieties onto him for he cares for you. I was under a spiritual attack. My family and I have been subjected to witchcraft and attacks from evil spirits for 30 years. @@Мойфильм There is nothing to unite. The One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church is not divided, it cannot be. Our lost Catholic brothers are free to let go of their pride and join the Orthodox Catholic Church. I have been praying for that moment for over 20 years.
First of all, clearly there is a lot of division in Christianity, that is a fact. One can have their own understanding of the matter or preference, but the division in Christianity is a fact, proven, even, by your comment. Even Eastern Orthodoxy itself is divided (Old Believers, Old Calendarists, True Orthodox Church etc.). And those people (from those denominations of Orthodoxy) will say to you exactly the same thing as you are saying right now. They will even blame The Eastern Orthodoxy in almost the same things as The Eastern Orthodoxy blames everyone else.
Second, how do you know that The Eastern Orthodoxy is the right one, and not the other way around? Or maybe it is The Oriental Orthodoxy or The Eastern Church (pre-Ephesian churches)? Maybe one of them was and is the only right one church, and the entirety of The Eastern Orthodoxy is heretical and mistaken? There are a lot of theses, hypotheses and points of view you can personally agree or disagree with, and incline towards or follow those you find more convincing for yourself. But at the end of the day there is no 100% way to prove such matters
