I'm here for the long haul. Travelling, inventory management, whatever the episode contains I'm here for it. A cool chill enjoyable series, love the survival aspect forcing us to explore and experience everything not just bounce between locations so fast we miss the atmosphere
I really love your videos. With the Alduin fight you know you can use the Dragonrend shout again before it wears off to keep him on the ground. The shout cools down before the effect wears off so that really helps. Also you could have used a potion of resist fire to reduce the damage you take from the meteors and fire breath. Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you 😁. Yeah I remember cycling through my potions and seeing a fire potions, but I neglected to use one, didn't know the shout could be stacked though so thank you for that tip 😁👍
Thank you, I forgot how backwards and forwards this quest was, had hoped I could bypass the journey but nope, survival mode ensures you experience the full thing 😅🤣
Catching up with these, please please don't stop them! Absolutely nothing boring about this playthrough, skyrim is my all time favourite game and you're showing me stuff I never knew! Keep it up man, best let's play out there
@Leto85 haha yeah Odahviing or Bend Will on any other dragon. Very useful for getting around 🤣 I've not made that much use of them, maybe only a handful of times
Love your videos Gaming Dad ! I wish I could watch them more often. But it's just a great way to spend my days off. Relax, sit back and watch your yt channel. I got a lot more catching up to do for the Skyrim AE. I said it before but I really appreciate your videos being very wholesome and family friendly! It's videos I can watch around my little brothers without fear of explicit words and phrases. It's hard to find good wholesome content, and I am so glad I found your channel. 🙏 Prayers for you and your family
EDIT I do understand that the swearing is going to happen in the Last of Us game, just as part of the dialogue. so I definitely don't watch that around the little ones (two 5yos, and a 7yo) . That reason and it is much too mature for them 😂
@katie-by8zr don't worry at all, we all have busy lives and sometimes can't get the downtime we crave. I wish I could make more videos, I have to fit this around everything else, so I can only do 1-2 videos a week usually 😅. Thank you for continuing to tune in and watch my stuff in your spare time. I really appreciate it 😁. Yeah, I'll always try and keep it swearing free, I don't censor anything that is written in or spoken by a character. Like you say in the Last Of Us, if there are swear words on written notes, I'll read them rather than change them, but yeah thats about it 😊. I didn't realise one time that my eldest daughter had come downstairs after her bedtime (she is 6 nearly 7), I was playing The Last Of Us and she was behind me. I was exploring a really scary part with the monsters in the basement of a hotel and I don't know how much she saw but I noticed her, and I was like you shouldn't be down here and you can't watch this, this game is far too scary for you!
@@mike-thegamingdad yeah absolutely! I work 11hr days at an Amazon warehouse. Then travel north an hour on my days off to spend with my parents and little brothers . But I try to comment and like every video I see to boost the support. Your channel is underrated, but I i believe not for long. Take care :)
I just found your channel and have binged watched the entire let’s play series so far, I have a problem… please upload more your channel is so underrated
Haha I do try to,I work full time and have a young family so I fit this around other commitments (mainly a few hours on an evening is when I can do it), which limits how quickly I can get videos out. But my dream if it ever did take off would be to quit work and solely have this as my source of income and then I'd be able to get a lot more content out 😁. Hopefully one day if enough people keep tuning in 🙏
@diannalynnYT yeah I've never been big on modding it, plus if you start modding you open yourself up to loads of questions of "what's this mod, what's your load order etc". Easy to avoid all that 😂
Took me a few days to finish this episode due to real life issues, but worth it. 👌 Thank you for putting it out and don't worry too much about the slow going. It's bound to happen from time to time in a survival playthrough and that is why we are here after all. 😅
Glad to see another episode. I'm surprised you didn't give Lydia Dragonsbane since she's your tank, and in full Blade armor at that (during the Alduin fight). Survival is unforgiving. Just like real life, we have to commute everywhere. I'll still watch as random occurrences popup during the journey. Pesky wolves... The sabercats still give me jump-scares. I put the campsite at the Throat to keep me warm during the Scroll cutscene and when I come back from Nord Heaven. It has to be positioned just as you reach the Throat in order to be at the right spot during the cutscene. Looking forward to the next episode.
Thank you, yeah I think I may switch her to that sword as it'll be a while before we obtain the arcane blacksmith perk, and I think the standard sword we'll make better in the time before that. I'll need that extra damage I think. Got a few ideas on what else to do in the let's play alongside the rest of the campaign and whatever everyone chooses next. I'd like to go via the lighthouse at someone point to pick up thr 'sailors repose' perk. Think that will benefit considering how often I am using restoration magic. I also need to look at the relevant restoration perks as well. I'd also like to pick up Agent of Mara eventually, and get a spouse for lovers comfort and home cooked meals, plus make a start on some of the fishing quests. So riften feels like it needs a visit. Also doing tilted scales would be go eventually for the studded dragonscale armor. Although that may be too much of a 'level up' at this stage. I put your tip about the throat of the world campsite in the 20 tips video I put up last week as I thought it was very good 😁
@@mike-thegamingdad Glad the tips help. Yes, the light house is great. Since you helped Danica, she can train you in restoration up to 40 so you can get Respite. For your build, I recommend the Atronach stone, especially if you do Dawnguard. I forget to mention that you will have to turn off Survival to leave the Forgotten Vale. I explored that cave reaaalllly well trying to leave it and found a secret passage (One behind the dead woman's shelter) and could not find a way back up the falls. So I had to turn it off. I fast traveled to the entrance of Darkfall Cave so I didn't feel like I was cheating.
@@mcmalave2789 I love respite, use that perk so often. That's good about Danica and training Restoration. Does Arcadia train alchemy? I can't remember if she does or not. I'd like to get that levelled as well. I couldn't remember any health potions during the let's play and there's a really obvious one, blue mountain flower and wheat, two very common ingredients, so I might collect that and make a load rather than buying them. Thanks for the heads up about the forgotten Vale. I'll feel less guilty about doing it now if I need to.
@@mike-thegamingdad Yes, Arcadia trains to 75. The alchemist in Mortal is also a trainer. I love playing with alchemy. I've considered playing an Orc for once. This time, no alchemy. Only potions that I buy or find. Trying to challenge myself. I'm still trying to think of a backstory. It's what drives the character. Tried a Khajiit but wasn't feeling it without a backstory.
@@mike-thegamingdad I take what I said yesterday back. I finally found it. I went back into the Forgotten Vale and found the way out. At the camp with the dead woman, head west up the tunnel, you should find a passage with a ramp. At the top is a chain that opens the secret door to the top of the falls. It's easy to get lost in that place.
You never really realize how much you travel back and forth until you engage survival mode. Lol! I’m with you regarding campsites, thought for sure you could fast travel to/from there in survival. Looking forward to the next episode 🙌🏼
Yep so true 😅. Glad it wasn't just me, thought I was going mad 🤣. @Leto85 I can't remember what the difficulty was on this episode, likely adept or expert I imagine. It's been cranked up as we progress and get stronger
I didn't hear you. You say you want to trap a dragon in the keep. Ridiculous. I was curious if the thane reward gets to be better quality when you level up. The old rusty iron axe of Whiterun is more of a ceremonial item than usable...better to disenchant I think.
@@mike-thegamingdad Just following your guide on spell sword build dark elf. I have managed to get my new dark elf to level 40. I did the main quest.
