A Towerful of Mice was one of my favourites. I remember the first time playing it the hairs on the back of my neck were stood on end. The atmosphere in the tower, the paintings falling off the walls, the creaking building, the ghosts everywhere - it is a top notch quest. Shades of Romeo and Juliet to it.
@stanettiels7367 Velen was really high quality 😁 there's still a few things I've not done too. Lots of witcher gear I've not found the diagrams for..and a few high level quests
Witcher 3 is a truly amazing game. I have only ever played it once, and I got the worst possible ending, yet I still loved every minute of it. Well, except for the horse racing, or any part where I had to race against the clock on horseback. I didn't enjoy those moments. The storytelling is unmatched by any other game I have played. I'm looking forward to see what Witcher 4 will be like.
@erwinzyx Ah I didn't know there was different endings, but that makes sense considering the choice elements and how much they matter! Haha yeah horse racing I lost my first race, went completely the wrong way at a junction 🤣 got the hang of it after that though, I think Red Dead Redemption helped. I enjoyed the cinematic trailer for W4. Especially now that Ciri has gone through the transformation 😁
I bought it for the switch but don’t have time to play right now. I’m so glad you picked up this game at the same time. I’m living vicariously through you 😊
Geez Mike, you're so effing eloquent. Nice video. I had problems getting invested in the game for some of the basics, like forced 3rd person perspective, but there's no denying some brilliant storytelling to be played out as well as a dizzying array of opponents.
Really couldn’t agree with you more. It was refreshing to play this game, learning very quickly that decisions have consequences. Actual consequences to how the game plays out. Brilliant! Like Skyrim, found myself just wandering around in this game taking in the scenery and listening to the music. Music, scenery and storytelling is out of this world!
@johnwpipes8927 my only worry with the system is, I'm yet to come across one where I think "damn, I've done the wrong thing" 🤣. Like I was unhappy with my Gaetan decision, but that was an immediate thing, so I just reloaded. I'm yet to come across something it's too late to change, and that scares me 🤣
Have you watched the trailer for Witcher 4 yet? It’s only a cinematic trailer but I’m still pretty excited about it (I know, I know, I just can’t help myself)
@@mike-thegamingdad Yeah that’s an interesting one. I’d be interested to see a reaction from you after you’ve finished W3 and the DLCs - don’t want to say anything right now for risk of spoiling stuff for you 😊
@LemLems1 looking forward to seeing what comes next 😁 I did consider waiting on this video and doing more of the game so I could get more of a view (only just got to Novigrad, not set foot on Skellige yet) but I couldn't wait 🤣
It's nice that your living the game, not just playing it. When in the main city I sometimes just stop and soak up the atmosphere. A girl came up to me saying "lm a material girl, living in a material world" lots of funny moments. Soak it up and live the game.
@@stephenmoon6644 yeah it's been very easy to immerse myself in. I've only wandered around the outskirts of Novigrad but it made me laugh how many "strumpets" are walking around. It has a totally different vibe than Oxenfurt as well which is good
Great video Mike! I have also just played this game for the first time this past summer. I played the main game and both DLC's. What a fabulous game. I think you hit on all the high points for me. The stories, the environment, the music, the decisions.....all great. I thought I had hit all the side quests but you showed me a couple that I somehow missed. I often read how people simply loved this game and called it one of the best RPG's of all time. I was not disappointed and can't wait to replay it a different way. Keep up the great work!

I told you this was an amazing game sir! Glad you are enjoying it.
@scottpascoe562 yep, well and truly hooked 😁🙌🏼 thanks for the recommendation!
@@mike-thegamingdad Wait until you get to the Blood and Wine DLC.

The scenery is spectacular. I really should add this to my 'must play' list. Great video 👍🏻
Great video! Made me want to play again. And the W4 trailer is out now so good timing

@jdawg1034 that's awesome! Well you'll enjoy it when you do, will get back to recording more of this very soon 😁
It’s a fantastic game. And you’ve got so much more to come.
@stanettiels7367 yeah I can't wait 😁 next stream will be Novigrad focused, first meeting with Triss etc 🙌🏼

@BionicleJackson yeah this game in 1st person would be incredible, hadn't thought of that perspective! The swamps at night especially! 😱

I love the game
But I went back to it recently and it felt very stiff
