Glad someone finally made a taming guide, took me a while to realize how you get xp when you pass the tick, not when it fails. Bush pigs are the best for leveling up, I got taming to 100 with bush pigs
what stats are needed to be a good tamer? Do I need intel or psyche? I'm assuming I might need a lot of con or dex possibly if I have to chase creatures?
Awesome guide, didn't know about the skill check at every 25% interval of the taming process. Or the need to keep hunger at below 500 to maintain a pet's loyalty. For me, I just try to feed my pet until it's full every single time haha.
I've seen these really cute birds, Terrorbirds iirc, in YT videos and I was wondering if it's possible to tame one of those, name it Chompy and use it as a mount
Fairly new player to the game. Haven't left Haven yet. Just some general thoughts. 1. I never knew we could feed a carcass to a carnivore / omnivore directly. I always butchered them first. Nice to know. 2. Bears are pure hell to tame. I have Domestication at 100%. Taming at 78%. Creature Control at 80 something percent. I have yet to tame a bear. Either young or regular. I've attempted it repeatedly and I've gotten to 75% a few times before the taming failed. 3. I came across an Elder Springbok on Haven once. I attempted to tame. It was rated at below level for me to level on. I tamed it anyway. It was level 100. Within a minute it went up to level 102. I can't explain how this happened. It had damn near zero loyalty. And the level bar hadn't any moved yet. Glitch in the matrix? Took forever to get it to level 103 because loyalty was so low. Also when I tamed it, it lost the "Elder" in its name. 4. There doesn't seem to be a creature you can tame on Haven to cross you over into bears. Horses, wolves, springbok, boars, all way to low level. Spiders don't give you an option to tame. There is the rat like creatures in the cave but I don't know if they are below level or not. I haven't tried to train one of them yet but I did see one player with one as a pet on Haven. But it does seem to me on Haven you get to a certain point and it just comes down to grinding taming XP on failed bear attempts until you finally succeed. 5. I've heard that animals on Haven are weaker copies of the mainland animals. Practically nothing is worth carrying over. My wolf pet for example is level 106 and still just does 15 points of damage and has no special attacks. 6. Small creatures like chickens and rabbits. Are they worth taming? I haven't tried taming a rabbit but I did tame a chicken. it is much harder than expected and took multiple attempts even with the level difficulty is practically set to zero on these creatures. Did I gain anything? You obviously can't ride a chicken. However, its carrying capacity is similar to a springbok and is set at 2k KGs. Absolutely no logic to it. I have no idea if there are bags in the game yet for this creature. So it you tame one, it may be of no use to you on the mainland. 7. Can you have two creatures even without herding? Yes, but you can't carry multiple high level pets. I'd even argue that if you have a level 100 horse to ride, the pack mule creature will need to be extremely low. Sure you can improve this with some pet taming skills but on Haven those skill books don't exist. Also, don't expect your pack mule to keep up with a sprinting mount. They will fall behind. And this will leave them vulnerable to attacks. if the pet doesn't have an endurance bar, it is safe to say you can't ride them. Which means they don't have sprint capability.
the game has to less points for all the primary skills imo. and you need taiming and dominate skills. some animals can be taimed. other not and can just be dominated.
@@TheCocoNutStick im new to it , but there is some nice pvp there i think it is something different , either the case better than zombie stuff for me :D
@@Mohamedsayed-pb1sl yeah the normally sieges are fun and when you first start playing but once you are out of the low mmr category you end up going up against cavalry and stuff like that and cavalry are STRONK until you get you fortes and other blue pikeman to counter then, even then its pretty rough, but i had fun while i played tbh

How many pet points do you get with 100 creature control / advanced creature control
Very nice guide!

What does happen to the bags if pet dies?
Is dominate working? I have tried in the spider cave but I get no option to dominate them
hold CTRL and then press R to dominate instead of taming
Can't tame or dominante cave spiders.

Spent ages trying to tame a bear then he gets lost the pets are so fekin slow.
2 mounts this is what albion online need, x2 mammoths to travel or x2 ox for poor people
