    Absolutely gorgeous room and fantastic that they are coexisting so beautifully (despite knowing there aren't perfect days, birds are moody booties!).
    I dream of building both an indoor and outdoor aviary in my future home so I can give my best friend some friends of his own!
    Also, thank you for all the information. There seems to be so much misunderstanding when it comes to caring for a bird. These are absolutely lifestyle pets. And knowing how much care they take and how to care for them is critical.

    Oh so nice; very good video. I've been able to use the laundry room (when machines are not running) as a bird room to let my budgies fly around. They land on the shelves and branch perches, eat and drink out of the dishes places on top of the cages. They are older birds but still manage to get around. 🌴

    If you keep different sizes of birds, would it be ok to keep all their cages in the same room and just rotate which size birds get to have free flight time in the bird room?

    • @Loveofpets
      @Loveofpets  2 года назад +2

      Yes you can do that. Just cover the top of the cages with a towel or blanket to avoid toe biting if they land on the cages of other birds. This is what I do with my bigger birds in my living room.

    I can clearly understand when you said food diet is time consuming and cleaning too because i do this everyday cleaning and food alone cost me two hours a day added to this cleaning inside living space another three hours daily i hav to work my ass off for 5-6 hours i get tired immediately i don't get time to interact with my birds after work.. but i want to communicate with each of my bird play tricks with them teach them as many tricks as i can but it's really becoming hard for me to get time nowadays . I dunno like how you manage everything and you also take videos record videos for RUclips upload them take photos for Instagram upload them . I would really want to know what's your daily routine please do mentions 🥺😭.. i don't even hav time to take photos or videos . I feel so stressed after doing all workss.. i start by cleaning the room then mopping then arranging papers on floor then adding leaves to branches then placing good water then releasing birds.. but i hav a question do you do all this work from cleaning to placing good while your birds are inside the cage sleeping ?

    I have a male lovebird agapornis that is almost 14 years old. in April this year he should be exactly 14 years old. There is also his female who is much younger, she is about 7 years old. I love them very much and I care about their well-being. My way of raising parrots is not to touch or bother them. I don't care if he wants to have contact with my hands or not, it is important for me to arrange a pleasant safe living space for them and I am happy when the birds are confident and calm around us and do not feel fear of me or anything else. I always keep them free outside the cage, they have the freedom to move around the household. They sleep in a nest (shoe box) which they equip themselves with torn pieces of paper, and I of course clean regularly. There are insect nets on the windows and doors, so there is always fresh air in the home. Of course, we have a nice interaction with the birds, sometimes (although rarely) they land on my shoulder or knee while I sit, but 99% of the time the two of them stick together and communicate with us as needed. The male now has a bumblefoot problem which is why the vet prescribed a treatment like you showed in one of your videos. That means I have to grab the poor bird in my hands and expose him to stress that is incomprehensible and unacceptable to him. During all these years I think I took him in my hands less than 10 times (always during the vet checkup). The vet says that I will have to do this treatment every day for a long time. I am in a big dilemma and I am sad because I do not want the bird that has always been calm in my presence to start feeling fear from me now that it may be at the end of its life. What is worse - to expose him to fear that he cannot understand (because he will never understand that it is for his good that I am grabbing him in my hands now) or not to treat him but at least the poor bird remains calm and peaceful in the living space where is used to.

    • @Loveofpets
      @Loveofpets  2 года назад +3

      Please treat him. He will get used to it. I have had to treat many birds that were not tame and tame birds as well, they all were fine after their treatment and some were long treatments. He will be in more pain and be more stressed out from pain then being handled to treat his feet.
      Hold him in a towel.

    • @branimirnikolic4559
      @branimirnikolic4559 Год назад

      @@squaretriangle9208 That's right. Otherwise, any attempt to help a bird in which it has to be held in the hands is actually scaring it, and the question is whether this is actually the complete opposite of helping.
