That's right. Many male dancers have too thin frame and weak muscles in the upper body; they look pathetic. Adding some muscles in arms and torso to the male dancer, adds a lot to their Latin American dance performance and overall looks. Muscle mass keeps the shoulders and head level, rather than "clanking" up and down like on a puppet.
