- As you advance in your bodyboarding skills, there are key manoeuvres that serve as gateways to unlocking the next level of progression. One particularly important manoeuvre to master is the 'Re-entry'. Whilst you tend to see surfers perform this trick more frequently than bodyboarders, those who learn how to re-enter a wave quickly enhance their ability to hit the lip with precision.
In this tutorial, Rob Barber, founder of Bodyboard Holidays, draws upon decades of experience to guide us through the process of mastering this crucial manoeuvre. By following his advice, you'll gain the necessary skills and confidence to effectively execute the 'Re-Entry' and, in turn, take your bodyboarding aerial game to new heights!

This is a great stepping stone move. Cool advice. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
I’ve been able to learn the elrollo, but I can not get any other move down. Once I get home I’m going to try this. Very informative!
Have fun and let us know how you get on! ✌
@@bodyboard_holidays Progress check 1: I've been trying to do this at my local shorebreak and it helped improve a bit. I'm going to start trying this on bigger waves now ill check back in after summer :)
One small reo for man, one giant air for mankind
😂
Great video, do you have any videos on fins? I have wide feet and looking for a brand for a more comfortable fit?
Hey thanks for your feedback! 🙏 Check out this video we have about swimfins with bodyboard legend Jay Reale, there may be some nuggets of information in there that will help you with making your decision... ruclips.net/video/-b6B7FSduTM/видео.html
I love this kind of videos, very informative content, thanks for teaching us.
This is the beginning of tricks like el rollo, invert and so on.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I just started 3 days ago. I bought my first board 4 days ago 😅 I went into the water not knowing a single thing. It was fun but now after watching a few of your videos I realize I wasn’t doing anything right 😂 I’m so glad I came across your page. I’m heading to the beach now to implement what I’ve learnt in your videos. Thank you.
Great job! Hope it helps and that you have loads of fun in the ocean!
Would love to see a video on how to exit a wave after a tube. I hold my tube ride for as long as possible and then get sucked over the falls in a horizontal position. Sometimes I get bounced pretty hard off the bottom. Fun in my younger days, but I'm 63 now and would like to reduce the impacts on my body without limiting my tube time! Any ideas?
Watch this space for this weekends video. It may be the video you are looking for 😉
Great video, very few videos explain this kind of basic maneuver. Thank you!!
You are welcome! 🙏 Glad you like it.
We call the Eppo air/flying squirrel a re entry aka Reo air. Floaters are just floaters.
This is best as a starting point for reverse and forward floaters. It helps with airs too.
Thanks for your insights! Hope you enjoyed the video. ✌
I'm new to body boarding and still having trouble understanding when to begin the bottom bottom turn when catching a wave.
Hey, thanks for reaching out. Check out this other video on our channel all about the bottom turn.... ruclips.net/video/TZLRSMcED0Y/видео.html. Got anymore question? Drop us a line and we'll be more than happy to assist you! ✌
Great info and detailed sample video.❤🙏 In Japan they call it a roller coaster.
Hey Megumi, glad you like the video! Roller coaster? That's good to know!
really good video, thanks :)
Glad you liked it! Hope you've been getting plenty of waves Bairbre! 🤙🏽
Is a jammer what some people call this move?
Possibly, not heard it called that before though.
@@bodyboard_holidays if memory serves me correct from his commentary days, I think it may be Dave Hubbard that calls them jammers
Magic stuff. I definitely want to start moving my riding forward as 'stuck in a rut'at the moment. Cheers!
Stoked you liked the video. You know where we are should you need any help from us! 🌊😜
Thanks!
Your welcome, thank you! 🙏
My next step. Thank you 🎉
No problem Seb. Glad you are finding these useful. Looking forward to catching some waves with you soon! 🤙🏻
@bodyboard_holidays my wave riding has definitely gone up a notch since the last coaching weekend with Iain and Damian. Really helped me turn a corner, which is why this next step and timely video release is so important to me personally. Nice one team 👏
