- This is the fulfillment of a request to go to an antique store and rummage through vintage jewelry. Most of the jewelry was in plastic baggies so it wasn't quite what I wanted but....I like it okay. Definitely made me relaxed and sleepy. I hope it works for you too and the requester.

I think It's so cool that the owner let you come in and film!! That's so fun!! And gives you access to so many sounds outside your home, without having to purchase a bunch of stuff!
Although, I did purchase quite a bit of stuff. But yes, he was a great guy!
The jewelry against the wooden box...omg. I can’t tell you how many times I watch this video. If you could go to more antique stores and do more like this it would be amazing! I love antique perfume bottles and hairbrushes, as well. I love how this was more fast paced...I find the faster pace allows for more sounds to happen unintentionally. ❤️
I totally relate to the faster pace for the purpose of consistent sounds. I can only be slow and gentle if it still allows consistent sounds. Prolonged quiet seems to defeat the purpose for me. That was why I started making my own videos. No one seemed to do no talking videos with consistent sounds. Okay, now I am being redundant. 😂 I am just excited to hear from someone who gets it. So, thank you.

OMGoodness! I already loved the unspoken version but this one is yummy! Some delightful little pieces of jewellery too. I also am a "winter" and do exactly as you do....I wear almost all silver or white gold tones but will occasionally wear yellow IF I like the piece enough. However, lately, I have discovered how much I love Rose Gold! I LOVED the clinking sounds of the brooches (pins). It reminded me of visiting my Nan. She had tins of buttons and trinkets that I loved to sift through. Oh and those baggies! Wow! It might have driven you crazy having to open them all but the sound of the pieces jingling and jangling was just heavenly. Loved the whole thing! 😍😘
I am so fond of this video. I finally made one that sounds almost exactly like my memories of someone tinkering in the next room. Not quite though.
How did you learn about the different colors for different skin tones? You and I are so much alike! 😲
Around 1983, I had a friend who was heavily into distributing Amway. They were offering a course on personal colours. This is where I learned that I was a "winter" and about the different bases in skin tones etc. Prior to this, I had never heard of it but it sure has been beneficial to know. Oddly enough, I was already naturally adhering to most of the general priniciples of my season but it was great to learn which colours were best for me and how the colours that I wear can make a huge difference 😊 We ARE alike! 😛 How did you learn?
I don’t remember how it came about but I took a little class called “Color me beautiful”. Based on the book. I loved it! Every thing made sense.
I remember Amway!
I have heard of that book and have a feeling that it all started around about the same time period, in the early eighties. I don't think that there would be a household in the world who didn't purchase and/or use some Amway products back in the day hehe Amway even sold seasonal fabric swatch booklets for one to carry in one's purse lol 😂

This is my new favorite of yours! Fiddling with tags and whispers! I used to LOVE hunting for vintage jewelry in thrift shops when I was younger, especially cameos. Now I barely fool with jewelry thanks to the little ones. Lol But I would love to restart my cameo collection someday and put them all in a big frame or something!
Oh, in response to your comments on pins... if you wear scarves, you could always pin a brooch onto that to help it stay on your shoulders/neck! It would be a nice little clasp and serve a purpose! 😁 Just giving you an excuse to wear one! I love them!

I’ve been talking to some people from Australia lately. They tell me their weather is completely opposite of mine. Seasons, times. I wasn’t listening very well in high school when I learned geography. So at the risk of sounding really dumb, could you tell me what season you are in right now and what your seasons are like all year long?

Our seasons are the same as yours, but they are much colder. Sharply continental climate. Temperatures throughout the year range from -45 °C to +40 °C (-113 °F to +104 °F). A lot of snow in winter and greenery in summer)). This summer is unfortunately cold and rainy☹️ Thanks for your interest, Rebecca. You are a very sweet and kind person.😻
Lys, your English was perfect. Thank you for responding. I know this will sound cliché but my idea of Siberia comes from the movie Dr. Zhivago. The ice and the snow was really intriguing to me. Being raised in sunny, warm Southern California it looked like a fantasy to me. Then one day I moved to Montana, northern America. That was cold enough for me. When I expected Summer to come one year and it didn’t, I thought I would die. LOL. I am spoiled in so many ways by my cushy life. However, The humidity of where I live now is almost as bad as bitter cold. I don’t even go outside. That is how much I hate to be dripping with sweat. No escaping the suffocating water in the air. There is a negative to every place that one could live. Something to grumble about but also something to be grateful for. So, we put one foot in front of the other and soldier on through life. I try to do it with a smile and gratefulness. Thank you so much Lys.

Long time no comment...one year actually. Love this video! I love vintage jewelry, as did my daughter before she passed, and neither of us really wore pins. But we found such lovely ones we put them on certain of our handbags, or folded a small scarf very carefully, put an appropriate pin in the middle, and then tied or used the pin to hold the ends together and wore it as a bracelet. We pinned them on different hats and caps, too. Earrings we backed with felt and clips if they were pierced and clipped them on certain dress shoes. Oh, and you can drape pins and earrings on suitable fabric and put them over boots. We had a blast and never saw anyone else use these ideas but got tons of oohs and aahs!

Hi beautiful lady!!!! I've watched this video 5 times already, I love it that much! After being so careful throughout the pandemic, I got covid and wound up in the hospital for three weeks. I went into kidney failure and am still on oxygen at home months later. Knees are so bad I can barely walk. So I'm on a draconian diet: low fluid, low protein, low carb, low sodium, low potassium, low phosphorus. Low flavor! Heh. Anyway, sleep continues to be a major problem so I appreciate these videos no end, seriously.

Oh this is nice!! You were able to do ASMR in an antique store. I love antique stores!! They have neat jewelry!!! Years ago when I lived in TX there weren't many antique stores. Maybe in the big cities there will be many antique stores. Enjoy!!

Also, you can hang unique necklaces over lampshades. The blue and white ceramic one would look great on an Asian base and white shade, for example. Pins and earrings can be reworked into cool pendants, fashionably especially if you can add a silk cord and a tassel. Have I worn you out yet, lol?

I wonder if/when broaches will come back into fashion. There are some unique ones there! I have a couple of my mothers and grandmothers but I haven’t attempted to wear them.
Good question. The origin of the brooch was to pin together material at the cleavage for modesty. Doubt very much that’s EVER coming back. 😁

how can u tell what is a good color for u or not in jewelry??
I took a little class on skin tone coloring called, “color me beautiful”. It’s about which color is best for which skin tone. I can’t really explain it in a few words so you would have to look up that that information yourself. Easy information to access. It’s referred to quite a bit now in the makeup section. Warm/cool skin tone. Maybe you’ve seen it.
Thats a clutch purse..if im correct the tube part should open up all the way.. mainly for IDs money, CC.. i think I've seen those before.. its cute though.

Great video, however, if I was the store owner, I’d be very upset with you. You kept opening the bags, checking out the jewelry, putting it back in the bag, but not closing the bag. I got so frustrated. Other than that, great video. Thank you

At 9.39 she says "these are ivory, that's neat."... Those came from poor elephants that were killed just for their tusks. Elephants are loving and caring creatures with family groups & memory who go back to grave sites and mourn for their lost family members. Ivory is not neat. It is very horrendous, cruel and an awful choice for a vanity item! This is meant to be an education for those who don't know...not to be mean to Rebecca. Please don't perpetuate the need and want for Ivory so we don't give poachers have a reason to continue. Thank you.

However, ivory is beautiful and some do come by it legitimately. It’s a real shame that greedy people must ruin every good thing. I was in that same store the other day with my granddaughter. She commented on the old mink coats. I explained to her how many animals had to die for the beauty of people. We were both very sad. To me, it isn’t about death so much as it is about the reason for the death. If it is needless and vain, it is a crime.
