Great to hear a craftsman pass on years of hard won knowledge, I found this very insightful and helpful. "Shoot for perfection settle for excellence", a great phrase to describe the work of a proud, pragmatic craftsman.

Yeah I am interested in your machine or the machine you represent and costs. I would also be interested in where you’re located to how far you are from me to what It’s gonna cost me to go through a class with you. Thank you very much

What would you charge for something like that? I'm trying to decide if there's enough money in offering this service. The machines to do barber/stylist shears and clippers is kind of pricey compared to sharpening knives. Great content though 👍

In my neck of the woods I charge $25.00 for stylist shears. If have have to do repair work I often charge $5.00 to $10.00 extra, but in this case I did not. This was a new customer that I had not sharpened for before.

Do you think I kind of have a right to be upset if someone put a bevel on my convex shears and they still have little nicks in the blade and feel crunchy and loud. Three shears I got back like this. Id rather more metal removed to fix them and have the correct edge, than what I have now.

You have every right to be upset. If you would like to email me at 0Tenews@gmail.com I may know somebody in your area that does good work.
