Yeah it did pretty good all things considered, especially since the ride was longer than what I would have liked to do anyway. The rider will give up before the bike does
@@maximumchargeEV I want to ask just out of curiosity how tall are you and how much do you weigh? and if you can’t answer that, I’m 6 foot two 260 pounds. Will I get the same range that you do?
I think this e-bike is the best bang for the buck if you want high top speed, great acceleration, and range. And I've looked at Motor Goat V3, Lyric Graffiti X, Ariel Rider X... If you guys have any contenders I missed, pls drop them here as I'm looking for something faster and even longer range :)
this definitely has the range crown for sure, and plenty of cargo hauling capability too. Nothing can touch 60ah of battery.. It's also my #1 fastest in 0-20 and in the top 5 for top speed and the steep hill climb test.

I like this bike because of the distance and power and they made the bike look really good! Be interesting seeing the difference with the 9 pro. E-cells dual battery MonStar also has my interest and the ultimate bike if you like performance off road not just on road is the dual drive train cottonmouth 6000kw. Plenty of power and speed and looks like a regular bike. I would just make it a dual battery for better range! Now for looks the best looking in my opinion is the BIGNIU BG-X ebike!
oh yeah I like that cottonmouth bike. I tried to get a hold of them to purchase a kit but didn't get any responses. As for the Bigniu bike, If you like a chopper style of bike it definitely hits the mark.
@maximumchargeEV I like the look but, smaller turning radius and its going to be top heavy with battery on top. I definitely would make a bunch of improvements by customizing it!
that would apply only if we assume I only used the rear motor as hard as the rear motor was used in this dual motor video, because when two motors are working, sometimes they split the workload between themselves whereas if there's only one motor, it works VERY hard. But overall I would have access to less power yes, and the range would likely be more, maybe by 25%
If you don't want to peel out when starting, just start with the rear motor on and then turn them both on, no big deal...My home made bike has two hub motors and the front spins all the time, has never bothered me at all, I never wrecked..Mine has two throttles, but I use them both almost always, instead of starting out slow..I wonder about the cells in that battery, they seem like they could be cheap..But I don't know, hard to say, that's alot of amps being drawn for 3 .5 hours, they might be fine.
i have another bike similar to yours. When starting out I always press the rear throttle, then the front. It's easy with two throttles but cycling through rear, front, dual motor with the laggy button is annoying. I get what you're saying though. As for the cells, I believe they are using the pouch style of batteries but I could be wrong.
Or learn to modulate the throttle better. After you ride this bike for a while you'll get a feel of the point on the throttle that catches. I highly advise against using only one motor, especially starting off from a dig, with bikes this heavy. It will no doubt decrease the life of these geared hub motors and loosen rotor magnets (I'm sure Op had a fantastic time fixing it =P).
Your controllers are cutting off because you're probably reaching minimum voltage. Once one controller cuts out the voltage sag decreases slightly. In response to voltage increases the motor that cut out now kicks back in. At this point you're supposed to run on a single motor not to over strain your battery.
My A8 DM averages around 45-50 mile on flat city street (with stop and go traffic lights) and depleting my battery 85% to 40%. This is on dual motor, green mode and going top speed whenever possible. So it seems like the hill and constant stop impacts your range the most? Once you're at speed, the motor needs to pull less current to stay there. Edit: Also, @18:13 you mentioned battery is at 48.8V. That's technically ~40% battery life left which is plenty. I deplete mine to this much pretty much every day riding and I'm able to hit 42mph GPS verified on surface street with strong acceleration. I suspect your battery is not properly balanced. Charge it to 100% and use a multimeter to measure voltage before and after range test. That'll be most accurate. Because your test and my range are not matching up... Edit 2: Just saw your ending of 47.6V. I've hit that low a few times and I remember the bike being able to hit ~40mph top speed on surface street but I didn't try a hill. Maybe next time I'll deplete this low and test myself. I usually never let it go below 30% SoC before recharge.
@maximumchargeEV 150lbs purely throttle. The battery won't properly balance with its stock charger. Few users are having this issue and asking Aniioki for replacement charger or another solution.
If that happens at full charge you'll be getting a video on the warranty coverage. My guess is that it was because the battery was too low for dual motors
Great job Alex! Good range considering it was running in dual motors up hills and stuff.
Yeah it did pretty good all things considered, especially since the ride was longer than what I would have liked to do anyway. The rider will give up before the bike does
@@maximumchargeEV Exactly! It's hard riding that long.
Wow so glad I decided to buy the Wired 2024.2 with 2 batteries , thanks a bunch for you informed videos
@@jojodancer1961 what did you like about the new wired bike compared to this?
I did the same. I hate the dual battery setup though, wish they would have just made the main battery larger.
Every time you cross an open field now I just want to yell "Get off the field!"
😀
This should be good, cheers Alex ⚡🚲😊
Thanks! It did a bit worse than I expected, but still really good for an ebike.
@maximumchargeEV I thought the same too, struggles a bit for a dual motor E-bike, but it's the weight, just to look at it you can tell it's a tank 🤣
@@maximumchargeEV I want to ask just out of curiosity how tall are you and how much do you weigh? and if you can’t answer that, I’m 6 foot two 260 pounds. Will I get the same range that you do?
@bearjew6665 I'm 5' 10" 195. Youll probably get less range than this unless you pedal.
@@maximumchargeEV thank you helpful as always keep up the amazing content
Nice bike and run🚴
It's a great bike and that bike ride was LONG. Thanks!

@@maximumchargeEV What about the Wallke H9 AWD 82AH?
@johnbmueller that will be less powerful but have more range because of it, and the extra watt hours of battery capacity
Eahora should be close in range@@maximumchargeEV
Hate to break it to you. But electric bikes are considered motorized. It might vary state to state, but most states consider them motorized.

49 miles, throttle only on both motors. From your test, is it fair to assume that if you only used the rear motor, you would get 90 to 100 miles?

It might get a bit better once it charges up a few more times so the cells are balanced. What's your weight and do you pedal at all?

Front suspension looks stiff and your knees look like there almost hitting your chest wile peddling. 😢
The seat was at the lowest height. I wanted the most upright seating position
Power blips can not be good lol

The motor cutout is scary, you think that’s a reliability issue with the motors or low battery
It happened when the battery was low. I plan on continuing to ride this bike and hopefully it only happens when the battery is super low like this
Nice ❤
Thanks!
