That's a big jump from $13,999 for the 2016 base. I'm really glad Honda finally put out some new bikes (this and the new crf250/450s), but I can't help but notice a trend. It looks like every improvement that Honda has made on their new bikes have been lifted, at least in concept, directly from Yamaha. They both have the same suspension, Honda finally got a full electronics package w/ quickshifter just like the R1, CBR has the titanium tank R1 has the aluminum tank. It's the same story with the new CRFs - the new Honda feature, downdraft intake, basically copies Yamaha's down draft intake but they kept the cylinder in the standard orientation instead of flipping it like Yamaha. One very interesting bit is Honda must have new machination to work with sheet titanium - 2 titanium gas tanks and a titanium muffler entering production this year. Can't wait till the 2017's drop and we can see a side by side comparison to the Yamahas!
