Thank you so much for what you do for the hobby bruce. Quick question how did you get muscles like you have ? i'm 38 and have half the arm power than what looks like you have ! Maybe an workout vid for us little arms guys
All depends on what you want, my husband and I race so we both fly 40 to 50 degrees of cam depending on the track, so tracks we fly with as low as 30 and on hyper speed wide open tracks we may run 55 to 60. On our freestyle rigs we fly 20 and that's it. You don't need anymore for freestyle and everything is easier to do and looks so much more smooth and fluid. The guys I see flying freestyle with 40 degrees of cam tilt and then bitch about how everyone's videos look so smooth and creamy and theirs look flicky and like a poorly setup quad or all over the sticks and it's because of cam angle... They are always flying to fast meaning they have to use more throttle to get out of whatever they are doing and how quickly they are closing in on the objects they are flying around force them to make quick and big direction changes. Lower the cam angle and slow them down and their footage becomes better looking instantly.
BOT I rarely buy branded items, but you my friend i enjoy watching so much that I buy products of yours to try and help keep you going. Your videos bring me a lot of laughs and enjoyment. Love us Bot.
nice vid. in addition to 0 degrees, another thing i like to do is custom throttle curves for hovering/landing/takeoff, giving a nice gimbal travel range from just under hovering to just over hovering. i like using 25% of my gimbal travel for the hover, makes landing and hovering very easy.
Tip for racers with 45+ cam angle. Learn where your quad is in the air and learn what the horizon looks like when the quad is level. Slow down get as low as ya can then disarm. Works every time for me... unless it the end of a race and I’m hyper as shit, in which case I’ll just slam it down. Lol.
I miss the betaflight days of disarming switch not going active unless you hit zero throttle. You could flip the arm switch and keep flying and as soon as you touched ground cut throttle and have a perfect landing with no bounce. I get why they took that away but man the landings were nice.
man... ive been flying almost 2 years fpv (used tk fly helis so have a headstart on acro) got reallt good at landing but the bleeding off speed skmetimes messed it up, id have to pich back to slow down then you cant see and if you get it wronf your gaining heighr or start going backwords. turn round to slow down so can still see ground. genious.
A good tip I learned from flying wings is to barely pitch back and lightly scrape your back arms against the ground right before you hit yourself. It works really great for higher camera tilt
Cheers for this vid man. I’ve just got my first ‘proper’ wuad after learning to fly on Dji / Avata and Liftoff so landing was never something I’ve had to think about. My first flights with my iFlight beast had me doing a lot of trekking back n forth across the tall grass to retrieve it. Deffo glad I remembered to set the beeper. This vid is guna be one that I’m having to keep coming back to… Cheers mate!
I've watched a lot of your stuff over the years, had no clue you had such low camera angle. Makes me feel much better about my 20-25 ish or less camera angle.
Bro I always enjoy watching your videos I’ve watched your improvement over the last year year and a half I feel like you are a free spirit and I like that But I must say telling noobs to fly and land as close to themselves as they can might not be the best idea brother you’ve developed the muscle memory not to overreact when shit goes bad they may not have that skill and could wind up hurting themselves if the quad is close to them otherwise always love your content keep flying those blue sky’s brother.
Good stuff man👍😎 I used to be terrible at landing so like you I decided to practice and even with higher camera tilt it’s not that hard with practice. I tend to run my camera lower these days but another good tip I got from someone is try to land in the exact same spot you took off from which forces you to be very deliberate about where you will land. Sliding up to my foot is still a favourite though followed by landing on my backpack 👊
My best advice to land smooth is to put air mode on a switch and turn it off just before you land. There's no more freaking out when it touches the ground. Cheers and happy flying!
I think my tiny whoop's camera is at something like 2 or 3 degrees up tilt. Main rig is straight zero. Always a smooth landing unless a tree happens to reach out and grab it first.
so I just found your page and my first thought was: how much coke did this dude do before he turned on his camera. But then I kept watching and really dug your style. I'm glad you showed how you might be good, but you can have off days just like the rest of us. I would have been self conscious about not hitting those dives perfectly, but you were like fuck it, I aint about to crash just to prove a point. I look forward to learning more stuff from your page. Thanks!
I honestly never thought of lowering my camera angle but it makes so much sense. I’ve sucked at landing for a long while. I mean I can do it but with zero style. Gotta give these tips a try. Thanks for the informative video man.
Bro I laughed so hard so many times through this video. I know it's only January but this is a fucking goldmine. THANK YOU BG for giving this newb wannabe the confidence to lower my camera angle without feeling like I was lame. I had my shit tilted too high, I felt like I had to keep up with that racing angle - who the fuck am I kidding? I'm no racer - shit I can barely fly FPV. When I go faster I'll raise my angle - why the fuck was I imposing that bullshit on myself? I've become convinced that I need to earn a Botgrinder coin.....and please don't go back to washing dishes and hating your life....we need you here bro.....as soon as I can I will help support the Botgrinder dream.... PS - I somehow saw the vid on Reddit of you doing the between the legs landing and thought that was sick....bro, I think you made landings cool - well for me you did anyway - thanks 😁
Yes. It depends also wich lens and cam you have. With 4/3 and 1.8mm lens. 20degr cam angle you have plenty of room to see the ground when you land. Nice flying Bgrinder! And like Always very amusing vidéos to watch.
Bro I love how honest you are in your videos... Super awesome!! You need the RUclips analytics you say, lol.. I'll watch till the end bro, I liked also.. Sweet Keep well and be safe bro! PS: Dab time now.... 😁🇧🇬🛸
When I was learning to fly lowering camera was like quantum leap - finally i was able to handle my quad at low speed. High angle has its usage - when you are flying like in Star Trek warp 9. Other ways it's only make life harder.
I like it. though how do we rip in that manner with such a low camera angle? It doesn't seem like it would be very easy to do. (Unless you are botgrinder).
Awesome video as always 👌 If you don't wanna lower your camera angle, practice hovering low to the ground and focus on where the horizon is. As long as you can keep the horizon in the same place when landing you should be good.
Great vid bot 👍,,,, still like turn it down for what 🤘I like the throttle to rip the quad forward into the next dimension ,,,it takes different strokes to rule the world 🌎
With my current camera angle, I've figured out that I just need to pitch back more before landing, so quad is more horizontal, otherwise it often flips on the back after disarming at like 10-20cm high :)
I fly with 35-40 degree angle and when I cone in to land, I bleed off speed and then tilt back on pitch and drift in low and drop throttle and disarm after I land immediately. Beginners should take a mental picture of what your goggle view looks like at your feet so they know what it looks like when you are that close. That way they know that if they are any closer they are going to chop their toes.
Been flying rc for 25 years, just got the bug to fly fpv. Should I get RTR or build one up. The Eachine wizard x220 with Flysky radio caught eye along with the Eachine v100 googles. Will it get my foot in the door and get the juices flowing or do I need more? Cheers

My camera angle is always whatever the last crash decides it will be.
Right!
😅🤣😂
"What cam. angle do you use ?"
"All of them"
@@Born2OwNoobs 😂 exactly.. my 5 inch is like 40-50.. 3 inch ~ 25 -30, whoops ~35-40.

Bard: You're gonna learn something today.
Bot: I'ma show you how to do some shit today.
better yet: "Some motherfucking shit today"
It made a huge difference once I lowered my camera angle. Less crashing when you're not going MACH 1,000 lmfao!!
Its nice, right? I look back at my 50 degree angle videos and wonder why I was in such a rush. 20 degrees all day every day.
Looking at these comments I think it's time to lower my camera lol.
@@rambozo_fpv176 Correct, 20 degree is a good choice for nice and smooth freestyle and safe landings. 👍
Oh ya.. that's the best!

respect
So idk when it happened, but I just realised I automatically like every Botgrinder video I watch.
Bot, you seem like the most genuine guy out there now. I thoroughly enjoy watching this stuff. Your flying has become envy-smooth too.

oh shit the squad car lit up at the end i got nervous
Yeah, what happened?
Riiight 😅
Yeah, I need to know. Pat down? or did you get one of those rare cool cops. You know he was probably there for those kids anyway.
Why were you nervous?
I got warrants dawg I get my name run im fucked.
Do more narrated flights Bot!!! You always get me laughing!

in the official rules if you are not comfortable doing that you are allowed to place a shoe away from your self and land there so no danger involved.
love how your "warm up" pack is better than any pack I've ever ripped lol
Bro. Yo face when that copper hit them lights literally had me in tears laughing 🤣 😂 😭
That dive flip was sick😤
Hey Bot what mic you use for that nice crisp sound man!?
I 100% get this humor and I completely understand it.

Backflipin the dive gap was dope❤🔥💪❤🔥💪❤🔥💪👊👊😎🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
love the old man noises 😂 just asked steele about that.
Lost my shit at 7:08 - the humor in your vids always makes my day man. Thank you.
Thanks for watchin!
Omg I can’t rip in the cold 🥶 oh bro u are mad devoted keep up the great work
You wall rides are nice, try a full yaw spin as your riding. It looks pretty cool fpv, and los.
Great tips thank you! So your camera angle was 10 degrees in this video please? or 5?
Great great vid, man. This really is a needed video....Skid land is my usual....the hover thing really helps when your cam tilt is up there....
awesome! happy to help.
You forgot the most important thing. Keep your knees bent.
The first dude I saw passing out in formation standing at attention in basic back in 2007 really drove home how important this is :D
My first soft landing was when I angled the cam to around 10 degrees. Thought I was going to have a blind spot at that angle, but it's perfect.
Your video/commentary style is great.
I love these simple but cool tips. More!!!
Blood sweat and tears for the hobby. I couldn't agree more
Best narrative on RUclips bro👍
HAHAHAHAHAH Your superfast explanation RIGHT at the end of the intro had me laughing so hard dude. You got my sub with that shit.
Excellent video Bot!
I flip that shit in angle mode with air mode off and land it, disarm call it good. Zero throttle = zero prop spin.
I think my tiny whoop's camera is at something like 2 or 3 degrees up tilt. Main rig is straight zero. Always a smooth landing unless a tree happens to reach out and grab it first.

You'll have to show what happened after they turned on their lights.

18degrees is the magic number
Yes. It depends also wich lens and cam you have. With 4/3 and 1.8mm lens. 20degr cam angle you have plenty of room to see the ground when you land. Nice flying Bgrinder! And like Always very amusing vidéos to watch.
YOURE HILARIOUS, THIS PROBABLY MORE MY KINDA LANGUAGE THAT I UNDERSTAND HAHA
High uptilt for life haha, love the speed and being able to fly pretty much upside down. Landing is easy once you get used to looking at the sky haha.
Whats the song during your warm up pack? Sounds awesome! Love the tutorial.
Bro I love how honest you are in your videos... Super awesome!! You need the RUclips analytics you say, lol.. I'll watch till the end bro, I liked also..

Thanks for being you man 😎
The yaw tip seems obvious to me now. 👍🏼
My boy switches to angle mode right before he lands. Something to try
Great video. Yeah, low camera angle is the key.
I am here to help the analytics, I just chaos drop and break shtuff, but lowering the camera angle is a good idea. Zoom Kaboom!
Full watch with thumbs up bro, good content
thanks!!! oh damn you got crawlers on your channel? subbed!
@@BOTGRINDER yeah man!! Thanks brother!!
Best advice, camera angle. Good video Bot, nice work.
🔥Lit !.That 2 prop instead of 3 was cool 😂😂😂
Sick tips bruddah! Thanks man 🤘
I like your point of view on cam angle!
I need this. Just started flying
Very Sick! Love the brutality in the ground bro. Awesome flying. I’m in the middle of trying to decide what to buy for a hd immersive experience.
Hey man, been looking for how to land other then power down. Cost me a battery pack recently, so def going to try learning this.
Awesome color grading on the first video.
Drones are fun and flying is fun but I like building it more
I like it. though how do we rip in that manner with such a low camera angle? It doesn't seem like it would be very easy to do. (Unless you are botgrinder).

Great vid bot 👍,,,, still like turn it down for what 🤘I like the throttle to rip the quad forward into the next dimension ,,,it takes different strokes to rule the world 🌎
The computer noises are pretty accurate. Source: I work IT
Also, it's cool to do yaw spin sliding landing :)
With my current camera angle, I've figured out that I just need to pitch back more before landing, so quad is more horizontal, otherwise it often flips on the back after disarming at like 10-20cm high :)
Just one of those days bot lol looks really cold out there too bud
oh man! I just successfully had my first flight with my evoque f5 dc. great flight but the fucking landing! I need to practice landing. so fun!
Love the music at the end
Great video Bot 😉💯⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
bro , do you use hypersmooth ??? cause i remembered u saying u dont freaking tune the quad /./???
Yeah
Enjoyed that thanks .
Nice flying bud ... I enjoy your content 👊👊😃📸
Neah bro I'm waiting for the time when we can charge mid flight so I don't have to land :D . Just imagine mid flight battery swap. Insane!
Hilarious and helpful. Thank you!
Using the school to shoot videos teaching things. That deep man !! 😉
7:05 hahahahahaha that stare the bot did was the best lol
Good to see others have bad days on the sticks as well ;-).
Nice how you turned that into a "tutorial".
Dude, Bot, you're the fucking funniest guy ever. Nice Video
Don't shed a tear buddy, that tiny little scraggle ninja didn't mean it 🐱👤😁🤘
