I love that your videos, especially lately, have a little bit of everything. Specifically, the obviously great footage of the water and waves and wind surfing, plus the real sounds of nature and your interaction with it. On top of that I appreciate the little details like when you're prepping the sails and getting ready to go out plus watching your process when you're putting everything away, rinsing off the equipment and such. It becomes so instructive to those of us with minimal experience while having fun watching. To me it's a great mix of entertainment and instruction.
Hi Paul I'm a 63 year old pom and it's great watching your videos . I was into windsurfing 40 years ago and used to love speeding along and getting airborne. Enjoy every day ,you get old before you know it
Brings back memories of my 7 years in WA back in the 90s. Looks like you must be Nth of Gero from the landscape? Got to windsurf spot x, Corro and sunset. Mate of mine owned a house just behind sunset and had a dune buggy so would stack the think go over the bridge and hit the beaches on the other side. Drive it Nth until we found decent waves! Those were the days.. The easterlies used to wake me up at night but then I would fall into a magic slumber reassured that tomorrow would bring the doctor and there was always serious fun to be had! Moved to Qld after WA and loved not having to windsurf into the sun in the evening but miss the constant wind and expanse of the beaches in WA... I will return one day for a final surf safari but I'm on kites now as the wind isn't strong enough over here to get out regularly on a windsurfer. Keep up the good work and the water dreams. One day you will be old like me and you will think back with very happy memories of all those lefties in WA! Cheers for bringing back some awesome memories! PS Thanks for the Torkay video on Strapper. I grew up in Melb and used to ride a Strapper board. So light, fast and unbreakable was the best board I ever had. Also windsurfered posso, pt danger and 13th down the road. Eventually moved to Frankston so had great sessions at Flinders (gunnery and big left) got shot at a couple times as didn't check the flags! The amazing days when pt leo linked waves past the yacht club for 500m rides Gunnamatta almost karked it there) and Phillip Island was amazing if you had the time as it worked on almost any direction. Kitty Bay some of the biggest waves I have ever seen 1.5 to 2x mast high. You would lose the guy in front of you going out as the wave dwarfed his sail... All the best from Joffa on the Gold Coast
They were memorable 3 days windsurfing Paul, you never forget them. Bloody great spot WA, pity you have to rig and de-rig in the sand or dirt, but it's worth it. Love the get out of bed sound effects 😂 On to your next spot mate.
Another ripper video Paul, thoroughly enjoyed it!! The party waves look fun!! I think a few of us are thinking about a windsurfing trip to WA.....looks like a far cheaper and just as good sailing option than going to Europe....
Very nice video, as allways. Would like to know more about the asymetric fins, because it ´s an unbiased users opinion. Maybe make an clipp about that.
Hey Zyzz, great to hear from you. The audio is recorded on my GoPro 11 with a product called a 'Windslayer' wind sock I bought online. When you use the Windslayer turn the 'Wind' cancellation off on the GoPro and then you get Stereo sound not Mono. 👍(You can see the GoPro settings I have used at the start of the video)
Best thing about the party waves was that I doubled my wave count hehe.
Nice. the party waves POV is a great way of seeing how the rider carves.🤙
Love the party wave fun

Saludos ! 🤙
Ha thanks!! Board is an OES 'Smack' 95L. Great board! Used MFC fins 300 & 100. Sails are Ezzy 2023 Wave, love them!
Looks windy to me, I like your narration as you sail, and good to see you sailing, what is that board?
Thanks Martin, the board is a custom OES 95L 'Smack' model with increased rocker and a slighter wider frontal area.
Very nice video as usual from you. How is exactly the spots? Dreaming to come one day...
There’s lots of spots all over Western Australia you’ll have to explore!
Hahahaha laughing at "Blah Blah" ad WASTED
Awesome what’s your Setup for the Head Cam? Do you wear a helmet or is it a head strap
It’s a GoPro headstrap then I put a surf hat over the top to keep it all in place. 👍
