3/8ths in. maximum is perfect for the small DIY home shop. And this thing is affordable from what I'm seeing. Man, when I first started shopping for these back in the early '90s they started at $700 ish in 90s money. Glad to see they've come down.
I have had one of these cheap assed Chinese plasma cutters for 5 years As a hobby cutter, they are awesome BUT absolute crap in 110v. 220v they cut like a hot knife in butter!
100% agree. I’m going to make myself a nice 10 foot, 12 gauge cord dedicated to these machines. Long enough to get me where I need to go, but not too long to create excessive voltage drop. I made one for my table saw when its cord ended up being too small.
That’s a rediculous statement. What similar portable tool comes with an extension cord ? A good heavy extension cord is a must in any type of work environment. Do You have any idea how much a good heavy gauge extension cord costs? And at least double that for a 220 application. You expect to get that free with every device ?

@@brianw8963 OK, so you DID hear it. Then all that yammering on and on and on about extension cords, which had NOTHING to do with the OG comment, was just... well, you yammering then. OK, no problem. Moving on. Cheers.
It is shocking . Especially when they send them to people that have no experience with them, and don’t even have a proper 220 supply to show the full potential of the machine. Not only shocking but rediculous in my opinion.

Great review.

Let's be honest, these devices NEVER come with cords long enough to actually make them useful.

@ So the device is not useful because the cord is not long enough? I didn’t “ hear” that, I read it. What am I missing?

i’m shocked they send out all these units to these small channels with only a few hundred views. wild
You should check out all the other crazy stuff I have reviewed. I have another plasma cutter video on the way as well.
