The story about the thieves reminds me of the time my ex-girlfriend (before we got together) had her then ex husband walk into Walmart, go to the pet area grab a fish tank then took it to customer service to try and get money. I can't remember if he had a receipt for it or not but both of them are banned from Walmart because of it.

@@thusluxx1358 I wouldn’t call you a bad student, I would say you’re struggling but you’re still trying to achieve it may take a couple of tries but don’t give up, I had the same issue in university. I failed both my majors but I was able to try again and I passed.
With Demon Spawn he is a bad student because he isn’t taking the time to study and he blames everyone else because he is too lazy to study, plus he won’t find a job acting like that.

Story 1: I dont know who's worse here... the dumb demon spawn or the dumb demon spawn mother. This story really is a good example of the phrase "you cant help those that wont help themselves". The demon spawn is one of those students who thinks he can just coast through and wonders why he fails. Too bad the OP's mom, the teacher, didnt have a principal or VP or someone else in the room with her (if they did, it wasnt clear), because they way she was treated was appauling. Short story I’d like to share: One time in fifth grade when the year started I had been one of the people who completed assignments in 80’s or 90’s. But to the point. There was this demon child kind of person always insulting me and trying to make me give up. I however wanted to keep my grades and hang out with my friends and most the time he would back off or just stay silent all week just because I didn’t want to deal with it. For a couple months it was about the same until he tried breaking my bonds with my friends. Obviously he failed miserably. The highest grades I heard the teacher silently talking to him about it was mostly zeros for missing work and a couple 50s or so. Other info you may share: Today I’m in the later grades of middle school and he was pushed back for his bad grades. Things are going good.

My father encouraged my studying through the carrot and stick approach. Very effective, I was consistent on the top ten AND I get to enjoy having the video games that I love. It taught me the value of delayed gratification and discipline, while not being too harsh as i still got to enjoy my childhood.
